Is anyone going to post video of the full GT Sport Q&A with Kaz? Seems like it’d be a priority for GT Planet but I’ve only seen Team VVV post a short part of it.

  2. Szuper

GT Sport is same to 5 other games for pc, and pc we can doing some extras, triple screens etc. Only VR-glasses is PD:s selling point! New rims, and now we need new PS4 because 4k, What next?? I really hope this 4k means i can use triple screen on PS4, if not, this designer is very stupid, or SONY need more money… Or sony have players which play pc, dont come play consoles.

How many games you know, were are GT and LM cars?? I know.. All games, but i dont know another game, were you can drive your dream car, normal cars, you custom powered car… PD shot his own leg… (sorry PD fans, but this is “one more gt-game” and maybe badest).
Not my game, small chance left for GT7.

  3. biftizmo

Do any of you notice. We haven’t had one thing extra for GT6 since the arrival of the patiently awaited and excellent track editor system.bye the way…

So polly D had there “beta FIA event” ..to smooth out all the competition rules before release…. And we burst into a flurry of critiqueing of GTSport and speculative comparisons.
    based on?
    A few home made videos?
    No wonder they were removed…
We will only truely know how good it is when we exspeance it fully with all the inavations in hardware aswell…all the people that raced that day had no problem being fully immersed.
well done GTP. I think the event was a big success…the hot facts are.incase you got distracted are…..
A real FIA race license, livery…..and a new wheel …lets at least look foward to that….

    1. ItGivesYouWings

I know my comment is more that obvious, but what will happen with the Project X1? Is it the end? Since Vettel went to Ferrari …
I think it will be replaced by the Vision GT cars.

    2. Johnnypenso

Weird eh? The public is invited to preview a game in it’s beta phase, videos are released and people critique them. Has this ever happened before? Surely this is unique to GT. FYI the people that attended the event came away with mixed feelings. Lots of positives and some negatives as well. Read some reviews and some of the feedback right here on GTPlanet. Still lots of time for polishing and fine tuning but no reason we can’t critique the game as it stands to day with that in mind of course.

    3. biftizmo

As far as I can tell only maybe one promotanal video release by polyD. As we know there just a montage of what’s to come….the beta part was the pre competition trials..for the FIA rules….any other videos by anyone else just can’t represent came play properly….to many variable combination formats. We can’t posseble predict how GT Sport sound effects or tyre sqeel will be until VR….making exsamples of these dodgy vids Leeds to a whole load of upset…
What we need is a external GT replay data player….maybe a new app right there…

Sorry about the typos can’t afford better glasses and my text size is full wham…..

Thanks GTplanet for the extensive report from the gt event, this far Gt looks absolutely great (as a gt fan, I already knew what to expect) so no space ships and other noob stuff is not included.. The only thing I agree with is a sound issue, they clearly are too sterile and you can’t hear the engine like you should, in real cars sometimes you can’t even talk, not to mention epic loud noise when drive pass.. Overall I wish gran turismo to stay to it’s core with all those old cars, I miss them, and they need to be premium.. These new cars are not for me!! T300 Alcantara already at home waiting for gt sport demo!!!

  6. Anwar

Again, Great day out Thanks for the Invite GTPlanet @Jordan great work, got to meet Kaz and Translator San.

  7. jm79

After some ups and downs, these videos gave me a final, lasting positive impression of GTS. I will certainly buy the game now, mainly as a result of the excellent coverage provided by GTP.

I don’t know the reasons for the takedown order, but it has certainly not helped their cause.

    1. Johnnypenso

It’s a big deal now while it’s fresh but after they release some more polished builds and trailers no one will remember or care about this little hiccup.

  8. SavageEvil

@Jordan, is Polyphony going to give you guys the same videos with commentary or something? The newer videos looked better and gave a much better representation of the development, I mean day one videos were atrocious with placeholder audio really doing a number on my ears. Jordan PD should sign you on as their public liaison, perhaps you can save them from making facepalm worthy mistakes…that trailer from the reveal was epic fail. The forums went nuts when that hit and none of it was good. Lol.

How many iterations did GTS go through since the first day?

  9. mrt74

The gran turismo series takes 4 steps backwards and 1 step forwards. I wont be in a rush to get this gtsport, it looks ok but come-on its not that good, also the audio is still not up_to scratch when compared to other racer’s that’s out there & the noises that come off those tyres haven’t changed in years. And last but not least they all say its like gt6 i rest my case!

    1. Johnnypenso

He did say 50% but he was referring to the quality of the game as in it’s only at 50% of it’s final quality level now. That doesn’t mean the game is 50% done. In fact the game is probably 95% done and most of the last 6 months are used for bug testing and optimization and that’s where the quality, consistency and smoothness come into play. That’s what he was referring to.

  10. Johnnypenso

Again, great work Tom and Jordan and everyone else involved. I wouldn’t object to a regular video series feature Tom, Jordan and the rest of the team, various GTP regulars etc. (That’s a hint…)

  11. SavageEvil

Oh man that competition looked oh so delicious, now that I can get behind even though I am upset with the exclusion of dynamic weather and time of day(hope they work on getting that in). The racing looked beautiful and I didn’t notice any hiccups, hopefully PD uses dedicated servers for actual competition to prevent cheating and other shenanigans. I am torn at the moment but I was hearing some sounds and they definitely sound much better, still low but the racing was just buttery smooth.

I noticed a good deal of the players used 3rd person view, the first place driver drove like he was in a time trial; completely focused on the road ahead and no rear view mirror to put pressure on himself.

  12. Tenacious D

Jordan is a roofcam driver! My man! I hope of the many suggestions you all have in your communications with Kaz and the team, you mention mine once or twice, for adjustable driver cam views so everyone can have the view they really want.

Bruilliant look at an event which was much cozier than I thought it was. Just bruilliant (my pronunciation). ;D

Very much looking forward to E3, and a constant drabble of GT Sport info through the intervening months.

    1. WyldAnimal

Yes, I like to drive in that roof cam view myself, but One thing is missing…
      No rear View Mirror
And I see in the demo footage, Still no rear View Mirror..

That would be one of my requests. Allow a Virtual rear view Mirror in all views.

    2. Johnnypenso

A virtual real world mirror in all views along with some kind of small proximity indicator map like the mini-map in GT5 would go a long way to knowing who is around you in all situations. I was quite bitter when the mini-map was removed for GT6 because it was so handy when you’re trying to race clean!

    1. Halcyon925

As a cockpit user, Jordan’s focus and precise movements impressed me; as I haven’t had a great relationship with the roof and bumper cams. I bet the man could give Kazunori a good run for his money!

  13. Fgame

Where are all the female drivers and spectators?
I still think Sony are not doing enough (or anything) to target a 50/50 distribution of gender in at least the public side to their products.

    1. Tenacious D

Yeah… political correctness isn’t going to make females of the opposite sex suddenly want to play racing games. Some people really need to stop picking fights with the universe. It usually doesn’t play along.

    2. Johnnypenso

As far as I know there were no rules preventing women from attending so we’re left to assume that as many showed up as were interested. Kinda how the world works.

    3. Lambob

Pink painted cars with female names are sure to be online this November.

Could they be transgender? Let it be their Transmission!

  14. sirjim73

Glad to see Roo’s chat made it into the report. The camera *almost* made it round to me then skipped back lol.

    Excellent presentation by Tom.

    1. Roo

I must admit I hadn’t realised it was being filmed at that point, I thought it was just audio. Probably for the best. Good that they cut out quite a bit of me talking rubbish, too.

    1. Tenacious D

I dunno CZ… I think they might be onto something with that retro touch for the intro! Never heard Moon Over The Castle quite like that, brilliant! ;D

  15. sirjim73

I’ll catch up with this tomorrow, if its available after the stream.

Did we chat during the day? Can’t remember if I had a proper chat with AJ and Tom, other than I recall asking Tom about whether I could record footage or not and about the “group photo” at one point, although I think I was elsewhere when that happened if it did.

Will be exciting to see the venue again and hear what others had to say.

Hope you have footage of the blue corridor as that was cool to see.

  16. Just The Stig

Damn… it’s too late for me to watch. Make sure there is a recorded video later on!

Or… is it on Twitch? maybe I can find it in the “past streams” section after it’s over.
