Now incase anybody says the car isnt eligable well it is. The R390 was produced before the race car and is a production road model which nissan then built a race car upon.

The car in question is sitting on SM tyres and 490bhp. I have saved the reply and when i get a chance tomorrow i will record it to my pc and host it. (I got to get up for work in the morning and cant really be bothered to capture it right now)

Aaaah! Now we're getting into a real conundrum! Perhaps now you can see why specs and proof and everything become so important! I think all we can say for sure at this point is that the spec C is the fastest 4WD production car around. Funny, I thought that was the R34's job...

So far we have the NSX-R '02 and Live4speed's TVR 350C which are shown as being quicker. How did you get on with them Master Driver?

That was serious hard work though! My DFP must have had a heart attack when i started using it so savagely! I doubt i could better that or even match that time again to be honest. My previous laps were all 1.21's and a couple of 1.20's then that bad ass lap came out of nowhere!

Well im glad thats over and done with!

Oh and masterdriver..........you now owe me 1million GT credits because thats what i wasted on buying that car! also you should change the thread name to "My subaru lost to Specs amazing R390, Specialized is amazing and the best" :lol:
 
Master Driver, gentle suggestion: could you chuck the Spec C's, er, spec into the first post? I'm searching around for the post it's in, and that's a bit of a pain. Thanks.
 
Well the mod's can tell if Blackacr is using your PC or not, so I don't think verifying that your seperate people is anything we should worry about.

What you'll find is that in a large community, people want proof when someone say's I did a lap of this track, this fast in that car, see if you can beat it? You did set a challenge, that challenge was to beat that time in a different car, however no one has even reached that time, in that car, this naturally leads to suspicion. Your indirectly telling everyone your better at it than them, now that may be true, but to get away with that, you ahve to prove it. When a new member turn's up and almost immediately makes a thread telling people how fast he is and setting a friendly challenge based on a lap time that some well known and respected drivers can't even achieve, it tick's people off because people start to stop thinking about the challenge, and start thinking "who is this guy, and why should I beleive him". Now is that lap impossible to do in that car, maybe not, I don't know though, because I don't have the skill to do it, but as you keep reminding everyone, you do. So now, everyone wants to see proof. The problem now is that even if you do show proof you've gone on about it so much, people will just go away. If you'd said, I can't right now but I will do later, then left it all alone until later, people would probably have ended up patting you on your back. It doesn't matter who started it, if someone ask's for proof, you don't follow that with "I'm telling the truth" and still not provide proof, you either say I can't, and end of thread, or you say ok I will later and leave it until later.

I would like to see proof myself, personally I don't have anything against you, but you need to calm down and look at it from the perspective of a big, long established community with a large OLR base.

That's the last I'll say on this, but I may yet return with a time from one of any number of car's I try in next.

Also I think alot of people hear blew the lap time all out of proportion. The lap time is irrelevant imo. Just grap the Spec C and mod it to 453hp and clock YOUR best lap time, then try to beat YOUR OWN lap time in another awd car. Simple as that. If you do that then you prove the theory wrong that the STI Spec C is the baddest mofo awd production car in the game. thats under 1 million credits:lol:

I beat my C Spec time with 7 different car's, none got to his 1'21 time though.

Well you have successfuly proved that the STI C Spec isn't the fasted AWD under 500hp. What 7 cars did you use btw?
 
Sorry, type error, I meant to put 5 cars not 7, I beat it with a Tommy Kaira ZZ-II, TVR T350C, TVR Cerbera Speed Six, Lotus Esprit Sport 350 and a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII MR, all tuned to roughly 500bhp ofcourse and modded with racing or semi-racing parts.

Umm not to be a hard ass.. But i notice your TCS is on (chuckles) ok anyway, whatever man... the point isnt to cut corners to achieve something its to give valid feedback :(, Take your AIDS off and see what u come up with those are more accurate results
 
i am not using the c spec just so we can have that on record and i have no aids on at all. and i hope no one takes this the wrong way but ouch on the price of the nissan. i mean hey it did do what we were asking but my pockets are alot heavyier but either way good job man try it with no aids.

Now i didnt notice that! the car was still wheel spinning if i was hard on the Accel. Maybe i didnt turn the tcs off fully or somethin (probs on 1?), Never usually have them on though

If you see yourself as still "winning" then great, Your obviously the best etc etc. I for one have had enough and cant be bothered with it anymore.

edit: Also as for accurate results, my tcs system is on apparently and i didnt notice but in real life (so i read) the R390 has tcs build into the engine and when it detected wheelspin the car stopps fueling cylinders reducing the said wheelspin and this could not be turned off. So funnily enough i am very accurate!

In danger of sparking another flame war though i gracefully accept defeat as i dont care if i win or loose. I know theres are people better than me and wont deny that fact.

I'm sorry man i didnt mean to bash on ya, I seriously want to see the results w/o Aids though, cause thats 1/2 the battle and 1/2 the reason the AWD TERROR can win in this situation :(, seriously bro come back and give it go..

You didn't say, "The best AWD car, ~500hp, SM Tires, NO AIDS." YOu just said Best AWD car with ~500hp and SMtires. ALL cars at this level have TCS in some degree. ALL of them, in real life.

Now, I'm not a huge fan of the AIDS and I honestly don't believe that Spec needed the TCS to get the time that he did. But having TCS on doesn't make his results any less accurate. Especially since you failed to mention that earlier.

OH, why don't you put your setup and full requirements in the first post as you were asked by another member earlier, it would make it much easier for others to understand the challenge.

well your not entirely right, I did state earlier that I never use the AIDS and that they werent on although it wasnt official, Also its not about his time beating mine, its about HIS CAR beating this one...but with TCS on it kills the point of keeping the wheels from spinning, Please Check first post man

it aint about win or lose you still arent getting the idea behind this post we just wanted to see if there is any car that can compete with the sti that was all you did it so there it wasnt about me wanting a record or me trying to say that i was the best. i am trying to find my max drive so that i can post up the vid so i have some supporting evidense.
 
But that's irrelevent since it's what car you can drive that can beat it that matter's, I can't drive the Spec C as fast as 1'21, infact 1'26 was the best I could get out of one, I can beat 1'26 in a good number of other car's. So in that regards, yes I can beat the Spec C in other car's. If your asking me to beat your time, then it's a competition, but since were all different drivers with different skill levels it will not provied a proper result.

ok, kinda got on my nerves about all this tcs crap.

so i put the ps2 on again and WHOAAA if only i had the tcs off the first time!

By the way that car is awsome! I accelerates so much faster without the TCS on which i checked and yes it was on 1 so i hadnt turned it off fully.

Well the brakes are pretty spectacular but the car accelerates like mad. first is useless and second can be a little difficault to get right but my gosh 3rd gear is immense!

Certainly was challenging though!
