Where you got the heartbeat sensor ?
Use the sensor to move in on the bad guys and just drop them where they stand, they wont complain.

No, this was a mission you did with your former Cpt. I believe; the one with the Cpt. attempting to take control of the submarine.
 
I'm very impressed with the story mode. It seem to last a bit longer than COD4. I like the different weapons, the blood, and a bunch of other things. I have yet to go online though. I just beat the story mode....very nice:tup:

Once I can get my internet issues worked out I will most certainly hit up online. If you like FPS...get this game!! The story mode is sick...very like-able.
 
Finished the story mode in (guessing) 6-8 hours, almost in one setting. I forced myself to go to sleep at 4am this morning, but maybe another hour of playing after I woke up. I've been playing online (PC) version and am less than impressed by the limited number of players that are able to play. 8-12 players? That's it? Limitations to peer networks I'm guessing? Sounds like the PS3 has had their own share of connecting issues. I haven't had too much lag, but the limited number of players is discouraging. I was hoping for the 60 player maps like COD4 had on the PC. Oh well, it does have it's appeal with less people. Still a great game.

Question. Will I need to download and install the patch before I can play offline? I've blown my internet cap, so yeah... :lol:
 
1.02 is up now if anyone was wondering.

My K/D ratio started out around 1.7 in Team Deathmatch, but as I've gotten further and not playing just noobs, its getting very close to being 1.0. Derail in Hardcore TDM is so hard. I'm going to need a class with a thermal scope for that I think.

I haven't experienced the connection problems you all seem to be having. There was one game that was nothing but lag until it tried switching hosts, but then a bunch of people left and I quit because it was me v. 4 bad guys on Skidrow. Host switching has worked 90% of the time so far.

Did anybody else find the blow up doll? Stars on her nipples made me laugh! Oh, and a dookie blast in one of the toilets was a classy touch. 👍

I'm starting to do pretty good again, and newly acquired ACOG really helps me. SCAR(Maybe it was SKAR, don't remember) is my favorite gun, and ACOG works really well with it. When I get my claymore and UAV Jammer back, I'd be in bidness.

I just played couple of games with Zrow, and it was fun. In the last game, there were couple of snipers with silenced Barret on the other team. I used one, and I actually killed someone with one shot. :D

No more three-frags. I am heartbroken.
 
Those snipers were chewing me up - some of these dudes are waay out of my league.
 
I don't think it was that they were good. They just know their way around the map a lot better than us. That high rise(or whatever its called), I just knew where to take cover from them. Once I got near them, they were about average(really average) to downright awful. :D

This game is fun, not been able to get on-line. Lack of server space, huh? Ah well.

I preordered this game and bought it at 'GAME' for $110 or something like that. Then only to find out Dick Smith was selling it for $77 :(

So I'm off to trade it back today (as I haven't opened the box) and I'll probably buy it for $77 at Dick Smith ;)

What's with the price difference? Over here in the States, it's just about guaranteed that you will pay the MSRP of $59.95. Don't you guys have set pricing in Australia?
 
completed earlier today in one sit in lol, been very ill this week with the flu so sorta came at the right time in all honesty! such an amazing game!
 
Game was good but kinda short. Managed to beat the game on veteran in around 7 or 8 hours. Plan on doing co-op this weekend. And I'm happy online isnt just a cut and paste of COD4 like i thought it was going to be.
 
Veteran? You're nuts. To anyone who has beat the game or gotten very close to the end (to avoid a spoiler - the mission after you run to the chopper after clearing a certain cabin and the immediate plot twist that follows), please answer this for me:

So in the mission where you're following Price in the caves, you get to the point where you get spotted and face like 15-20 guys at once. What did you do here? My current checkpoint is just before that happens and I have an silent/ACOG Vector and the silent/scoped Intervention. Also standing over a silent ACR. I get killed by the time I need to reload the Vector. You get spotted far too well for being in the dark using silent weapons.

Edit: Nevermind, I get past it in my third or fourth attempt now. Lots of flashbangs followed by frags, followed by another flashbang and a full clip. Repeat until you're out of bad guys. 👍

Try to run back & take cover behind the wall. I knew once we were spotted, I also threw in a frag or 2 into their mix to clear 'em out. After that, it's merely trying to stay within cover, and popping them off one by one.

This is the section right before the catwalk where you can see them coming inside, correct?
 
I hated that level. Very frustrating. I had to restart about 10 times, and I played on the easiest level.

What's so hard is avoiding grenades. You cannot run away from them, since you can't see where it is you're going. NVG only blind you, thanks to the enemy using flashlights, so you can't use them.

What I did was use a barrier, and hit a few guys with it when they walked up to me and let the other guy shoot them all. I even earned a trophy for hitting a guy with it.
 
Thanks guys. Just beat the game anyway. Daaaamn. Wish these guys made movies. I love at that very last part, you look up and the idea just comes to you to...you know. :D

I usually don't think of shooters as being worth buying if they were single player only. But I think the CoD series is a definite exception. Maybe not WaW though. I hope Treyarch doesn't make anymore CoD games.

And damn IW for making the campaign show 76.3% completion for not doing Veteran. :lol:

Most store have it for 100 to 120 dollars but apparently dick smith doesnt :(.
 
Bought it today, completed it just now instead of doing my uni assigments, hence why I'm still up at 3AM.

When I first started playing, I thought IW had gone a little OTT with the single player, but after finishing it I can agree with others saying its very good. I love the mix of locations, particularly the snow maps. The story is also much better than I was expecting, too many attempts to shock the audience makes it look a bit stupid, but they got the balance right. I even felt a bit of tension at the end there. :)

Special ops to go...then multiplayer.
 
So I've been using the M4A1 with the Holographic Sight. Since you can only upgrade one specific gun at a time, it's tough to make the switch to a different gun and start all over. What have you guys been using the most?

When I hit level 17 I will be using Camouflage for sure 👍 but for now It's ...

RPD with grip / Marathon / Lightweight / Commando

as with MW1 the RPD is an awesome long range rifle using single fire clicks whilst being a pretty powerful LMG to boot ;) Crackin gun! :cheers:

Same thing, although, the M4A1 with a silencer and the scramble perk is a lot of fun to.

After beating the game on vet it says I'm only at 86%. I'm not sure if that's because of not competing spec ops yet or if its not for collecting all the intel items or what.
 
Has anyone have problems with the trophy's in MW2, I've got over 15 kill while driving a vehicle & no trophy & completed the single player game on veteran & 2 trophies did not turn up.

Anyone have any ideas WHY
 
Anyone tried killing that dude in the elevator before he exterminates the airport?

I think Infinity Ward took a strong jab at the CIA by including that level. Goes to show you how stupid the spy business is.
