Just would like to echo the thoughts of many. The game is really great, it honestly just feels like a continuation of COD4. I'm only at the level after the Favela but it's an awesome and intense experience. So much more enemies on screen and the weapon selection is immense. The LOD in the character models has increased exponentially i was really surprised at the graphical boost. The only aspect which hasn't changed at all is the gun sounds. I love COD but i really must be realistic, the sounds aren't that great. I have a permit and i own a H&K USP 9mm and i've been next to guys shooting AR15's, m4's, Desert Eagle's, Gloc's ,etc etc and the game doesn't really capture the effect too well. BF:BC on the other hand captures the effect very well though. Other than that excellent excellent game, all the accolades COD:MW2 gets are very well deserved..

Got to Lvl 21 tonight. Slowly getting better, but had a lot of matches where people had no idea what the hell they were doing. I'm trying to plant a bomb, and my teammate just runs away when we get ambushed by 2 guys.

K/D is .58 as well. But, had one match where I rocked everyone on Skidrow.

I hate that. Everyone just wants to play Team Deathmatch... even when we're playing an objective-based game.

I'm mostly using a M4A1 with thermal and heartbeat monitor, with a Spas-12 with foregrip Equipment is a frag grenade, flash for special. Perks are Bling, Hardline Pro, and Scrambler.


A few things I've noticed that have confused me online. First, using the AT-4 rocket launcher, I've locked onto both the Pave Low armored chopper and the Cobra chopper. The AT-4 has a lock-on function if you hold it on a target and wait for the constant beep. When I do that, it veers off and does almost a half circle of the map and then explodes, nowhere near the intended target. WTF? And then the thermal scope - its like it picks and chooses when it wants to show thermal. Sometimes people will just show up in the same grayscale as the environment, and that's including my teammates. Its enough to make me want to get rid of it for now. Its great when your target shows up bright white, but when they aren't, and they're a fuzzy black and white that blends with the fuzzy black and white of a bombed out town...well...Its useless.

I am using some Assault Rifle which I have the Acog for, the third assault rifle down.

The perks I am using are the ones you unlock at the start, stopping power, Sleight of Hand Pro and Commando. Sleight of Hand Pro is pretty cool, you can aim faster which is always handy but will get replaced by a better perk soon.

I've bombed complete planets into oblivion and annihilated entire races in Master of Orion and Civilization. I made it a sport to kill every civilian in missions in games like Syndicate. In Knights of the Old Republic, I played as Sith playing vile mind games that tricked people into killing their best friends. And yes, in this particular mission of MW2, I killed as many civilians as I possibly could.

I for one, enjoy games where you are really evil as much as I enjoy being the good guy (possibly even more ).

Does that make me a homicidal maniac or 'morally challenged' in real life? Nope, it doesn't. It's just a game! If you can't see the difference between real life and a game, it's time to stop gaming.

If you don't want to play this mission, that's cool, but there's certainly nothing wrong with anyone loving it.

Nonetheless, fun mission. Lots of shooting with machine guns, which I like.


Also, help please. PS Home won't connect, it keeps saying "connection to the server was lost", but I know the connection works fine as it download the PSH software all of three minutes ago

Home had much trouble when the beta first became available publicly. I haven't had any problem connecting since then.

So I've been using the M4A1 with the Holographic Sight. Since you can only upgrade one specific gun at a time, it's tough to make the switch to a different gun and start all over. What have you guys been using the most?

SCAR PWNS. I really don't want to tell anybody this, but if you take away even just the ACOG from my SCAR, I would be struggling to break even. Four out of my five slots have SCAR. Actually, I might have changed all five to SCAR. With or without silencer, with coldblooded, hardline, stopping powa, etc.

I hate that. Everyone just wants to play Team Deathmatch... even when we're playing an objective-based game.

That's why I only play TDMs. Except when I'm vetoed, and am forced into domination matches. Then it does become TDM first, flags are the secondary objective. I still help my team though.

It might be better for you to go in alone. With a veteran, you might get dragged into higher ranking games.

Omnis sent me an invite, but I never saw it until I went back to the main menu. Odd. Is that the 'friends' glitch I've been reading about?

I've been using M4 with silencer but was trying for the thermal scope. I got killed by one of those and watched the 'kill cam' and it looked like a huge advantage. But, the next time I play I'm going to use the SCAR-H. I think it has more power than the M4.

I'm not good, because I think my internet speeds are too slow. I have twice many deaths as kills.

I made it to sergeant at least, but I see it takes a long time to reach staff sergeant. I'm going to keep playing so I can at least play with some of you guys before I send the game back.

I love that gun too, used it for my first fav gun and then moved onto the next assault rifle I unlocked. I got the Acog for the scar but went back to holographic cause it was much easier for me. I am owning with the rds and holographic tonight.

Just picked this up yesterday for £26. Had it on reserve at Blockbusters but at £44 it was a no brainer to forgo the £2 reserve charge and buy it cheaper elsewhere.

Couldn't get online with it so started to play through the Campaign mode on Hardened (the one before Veteran) I got through to the Favela level and i presume i'm near the end of it but i'm stuck at a checkpoint with just a shotgun and a rifle with no ammo and no grenades left either. There are two enemy guys who spawn close by, but they only have shotguns too. I'm just getting pinned down by guys in the distance on roofs and a guy closer to me on a balcony who keeps bobbing down and i just can't hit at that distance with the shottie. Very frustrating.

In the end i put CoD4 back in and carried on aiming for gold cross which i'm just two prestige levels off now.

I am in a bit of a pickle. I have 3 assignments due in the next few days and I cant get my ass of MW2 . Its a very annoying temptation, jump on laptop for 5mins and go on MW2 for 5 hours .

The game just tries to throw into the quickest game possible. You'll notice later on, a lot of high ranking folks playing with you. The lobby will then try to make the teams as even as possible. I had a couple Level 3X's last night as well.

Well, of course, your electronics still worked. The whole point is to disable the other team.

But yeah, it's not that great, b/c you can still kill anyone just as fast as before. Have to be a little more careful when doing so is all.

I have a new kill streak of 14 and then some noob on the other team who wasnt really a noob won the match and I got left hanging. I play with people in the servers from levels 5ish to 30. I am level 23 I think and am usually 3rd highest rank so my servers are fairly equal. My K.D is around 1.45 and it goes up and down which is annoying. I think it hit 1.5 once but I dunno. My accuracy stays at around 17.3% which is 3rd highest on my friends list with our Tsukuba Trueno at the top of my list with 19 something %.
