Watching a Roadster TC going around Spa, sounds really good but they're not really all that fast. At the end of the long straight he was only going 125mph.

And it doesn't sound like it's turbo'd. 👍

I guess thats good, closer to the real specs 👍. I have only watched a R32around Spa. Oh btw just finished my first race at Spa online with weather. And with a victory!! :dopey:

Later on today I'll see about getting a room up for you NA guys with Spa and the MX-5 the only available car to drive. Hows that sound?

Would that allow us to drive it? I ended up moving to host in a Japanese room, but when I checked the track list Spa wasn't on it. So we can drive on the track, but can't select it. Might be the same with the cars, we can see them but can't touch. :(

Well that really sucks. BF3 and new cars and tracks on the same day? First Forza now this!?

Actually, this doesn't suck, but is really awesome and we should all feel lucky to be enjoying all this awesome ****.

Just tried mx-5 around trial mountain it feels pretty good to drive, are we running this car stock or is that still to be decided? you can only install engine stage 3 and turbo's anyway everything else is either installed already or you can't install it.

Also I think you have to have the car to drive it, just tried to make mx-5 only but couldn't...... I may be wrong but......

Thanks for the information.

Would you be willing to provide the specs for the DLC Miata?

Max HP@RPM
Max torque@RPM (preferably ft-lbs)
Weight

Number of gears in the transmission
Maximum downforce levels for front and rear

And any other information that we may find interesting.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Yeah, it would be great if you could just take a picture of the spec sheet for the car. Also, a picture of it painted an alternate color other than black or white so we can see what parts of the livery are fixed.

Just make sure to use maximum downforce, but keep every thing else stock.

An interior shot would be nice too. Is the stock tune underteering, over?

But otherwise it sounds perfect. We should be able to leave it stock and have tons of fun.

Also, if you'd do use the favor of doing a few laps around Laguna Seca (great benchmark for speed that we know very well in the Miata) and letting us know your time would be amazing.

Thanks.

I won't be able to get the DLC until next Monday but Whaaaaaa? In the EU store only?

207bhp 795kg 484pp ( with max df 20/50 ) think bhp went up a bit just from doing a few laps and oil change, also it's 5 speed gear box. I'm just on spa with a few m8's testing all the touring cars :), so I'll do a seca test in a bit.

Not tried sending these cars either so will try copy it and send it to you guys if you want, but I have a feeling it won't work. you never know but

i got Specs

BHP Stock - 197bhp @7500RPM (before oil change) - After Oil Change 207bhp @7500RPM
Torque - 146.1Ft lbs @6500RPM (before oil change) - After Oil Change 153.3Ft lbs @6500RPM
Weight - 795kgs
Gears - 5
DownForce Max - 20 50
PP 484 (After Oil Change)

Optional Mod Parts
Rigidity Improvement
Engine Stage Tuning: Stage 3 (Stage 2 is on Stock)
All Turbos (low to high)
Supercharger

No LSD which is wierd doesnt have one stock and cant purchase one

i estimate after running it in itll produce around 215bhp ish....

Thanks guys!!! To be honest, the specs are exactly what I was hoping for as it will still feel like an NA Miata but with more Zoom Zoom. But not too much. :)

It is very odd that you cannot purchase an adjustable LSD and even more weird that it doesn't have one stock. Perhaps this is some type of oversight that PD will remedy in the future.

Would either of you be able to tell me if we are working with 1.6 or 1.8 litres of fury? Or perhaps even more displacement? Also, you guys wouldn't happen to know the engine's redline?

Thanks again!!

Yeah! Take a picture of the spec sheet. Pretty please. I wanna know peaky power.

its max is 9000RPM and ill edit a pic of the perfomance sheet just for wardez :sly:

OMG those specs are just perfect. Not too much HP but not too low as well!! Great car its going to be. Now, stupid SCEA decides to delay the DLC here WTF SONY!!:grumpy:

At least the powerband doesn't look stupid.

Should be a fun car. Looks like plenty of power under the curve too.

At least you'll be able to use it. For the good of all mankind the DLC is account-locked so I can't use it on the account I play games on.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like we'll be keeping them stock. Which is nice because we can use that new fangled "no tuning" feature in the online rooms. 👍

cool RT so how can we send you pics of our cars in the format you showed? (my cars pictured at the top of the screen)

If you guys want to send me a picture, that would be awesome. I would just make sure it's at the same angle as the example I posted, and make sure the car is in motion (wheels spinning) then we're golden. 👍

Guys the car on its stock setup and power is still mega grips brilliantly and points where you want it but if you want you can make it slide once its setup for racing it will be a true beast and i cant wait :D

Had a few laps on Spa before I have to be occupied for the rest of the evening, and I've gotta say, this cars brilliant. Only think im not liking is my colour scheme, but what the hell.

Just be aware that the 'no tuning' blocks you if you touch the aero.
Found that out when Me and CSL were playing with Kaz's N24 when spec2 came out. Didn't check suspension setup, but it doesn't just block "parts purchase" as you would assume. It pretty much only lets you touch brake balance and tires. (admittedly I forgot to test the suspension setup changes, but you can still power-limit a stock car below the pp# and get in with that loop-hole :grumpy: )

But IMO this is good news if we want to stay 'spec'

What tires? I really wanted to do some tire testing this week....but I guess it will have to wait until next week. :grumpy:

Edit: Never mind, just saw the photo above. Can you switch to Sport Softs and tell me how it feels?

I was wondering this myself. Now that we know the specs, and some of us can drive the car, we can put some thought into the spec tire for the series. With the available downforce, I was thinking sport softs should be more than adequate.

I added a turbo to my GT car from last season and drove it around Spa last night on sport softs which still felt totally fine to me. I really dislike driving cars with too much grip, you can't use the throttle and trail braking to point the car where you want it as easily.

ah ok its stock tyres are slicks (race hards) lol will try on sports soft now

I drove my Spec car (396pp) around for exactly one lap, then decided it was too slow for that track.

well i did a few laps on with the restriction of no tuning or tuning prohibited which means defaulting suspension aero ect ect on sports soft tyres and its only 3 secs off my best on race hards but crucialy it still felt pointy and grippy so i rekon sport soft are perfect.

Also i was thinking wasnt to old series fixed suspension and fixed gears anyway so the only things you could change were brake balance LSD and tyres so the tuning prohibited would continue that just no LSD tuning, i rekon if you wanted to do that its fine......
