They should really stop modeling Hybrids. They have no place in a racing game. Even fully tuned, they are stupid, and barely competitive with anything.
70hemithere's a New B-spec Seasonal up.
They can make more cars, because they increased the staff and optimized their process.
And GT6 will be released in about 3-4 years. They will bring on PS4 like it or Not. Yama complained about the PS3 Specs already. They can Add everything per DLC or Patch. They dint Need to make GT6 a PS3 Game and they have the Time to do it.
2013-2015 will be the years of the next Generation console. Sony would be Totally stupid to waste 50,000,000-70,000,000 for GT6 on PS3.
They can use the GT5 Engine and save some Time. They just make some improvments.
Dice Claimed already that the Frostbite 2 is "Next Gen ready"
All Engines nowadays are Based on Multi core and massiv Theads structure...
Upscaling will Not work on the PS4. PS2 content on PS4??? That would be a epic fail...
They will use their higher modelled Cars and integrate them in GT6 and some per DLC for GT5. The can Decrease the quality to fit it in to the PS3 Hardware.
A Developer Producer their Content in higher quality than the ps3,360 can handle.... Often
Some Things arent possible on ps3 and GT6 Needs huge improvments....
Like up to 64 Cars on track in Good quality for better and realistic Race Series and endurance races.
The only voice that matters is that of Kazunori Yamauchi and only when he says something will any of this matter at all.
Kazunori Yamauchi is not a god. He's easily replaceable. The industry is full of talented designers with the will, focus and passion to take the GT series far higher than he ever could. With all due respect, this iteration most certainly is a commercial success and both a technical and visual improvement to its predecessor but it's still not half the game GT4 was in terms of sheer fun and ludic depth. In the long run, the only voice that does matter is ours.
GT3 wasn't half the game GT4 was. Same thing happened with GT1 and 2.
Considering all the developing issues and how extensively the game has been updated, I see GT5 as the beta version of GT6, which will reclaim the title of best racing console game. That is if it is released for the PS3 though, if not it's pretty clear forza5 will consolidate as the very best one.
My PS3 said Gran Turismo 5 was updated last night? (I have Playstation Plus) Didn't have time to check what's new, so maybe it's that 2.06 patch?

diegorborgesI agree with you and I'm on the team of those that believe that GT6 will be on PS3.

Could be GT5 update clue
avensWith that said, the best scenario for them is to release GT6 for the PS3 because in the end it means making more money.
avensand the GT series doesn't compete with PC sims.
avensedit: I think PD already knows that with their current scheme they can't keep up with its competition (turn10, EA, codemasters) content wise, so they'll probably do what they've been doing for years which is outsourcing.
avensAnd btw the same game engine, models (tracks and cars) and everything else can be reused if the full version is good enough. For example, everything you see on a console is lower polygon count and res than what companies already have. It's just progressing by adding more and different content, improving the menus, tweaking current cars, adding more game modes, outputting with a higher resolution and filters, including the better quality versions of cars and tracks, and so on. That's what every single company on the industry does; people just don't notice it (did you know that all call of duty games use a tweaked version of the quake3 engine?)
You know what should be mandatory? Licenses. I miss having to complete a certain license to do certain things, like reaching ia license to go online, or S license to do special events.
License tests =
I hate the level system. The A-spec races should have been based on License level like it did in previous installments. It gives GT Mode a sense of progression, which it has recently lost, though (among other qualities).
Never thought of that, but that would be really awesome if you were required to go online. Or maybe have different levels online for each license level?
Well... It looks like EA's bullying tactics are over, bring on the 911s!!!
EDIT: A quick Google search found no english websites with this "news"....
