Won the championship at Singapore on legend, answered questions in a way that might attract other teams. Got an offer from McLaren :D. Without these setups I don't think I would've done as well as I did in my Williams. Thanks a million Mr S

No problem, looking forward to 2012 already. :)

Related to my own F1 2011 career: improved my record in Hungary by almost 0.3 seconds, the fastest lap now being 1:15.597. Still quite slow compared to some Time Trial laps. :P

I have noticed a few things when watching onboard real life laps, that IRL the drivers can brake much much later compared to the game. South Korea turn 1, 3 & 4 is a prime example, no way can i brake that late! Another is high speed cornering grip, i understeer in 5th gear, where IRL Alonso (in this vid of south korea i was watching) is WOT and is in 6th gear.

Sorry, I read this the day you posted it and totally forgot about it. So.

To be frank: the braking calculation is not working like it does in real-life, fact. You have to break way too early, it's all different from real-life.

Also about understeer etc. it really, really depends on the setup (both in real-life & the game) so it's pretty hard to compare such things, I believe.

No worries Mr S. It is pretty quiet in here now.

Thanks for the reply. BTW i was using your setup but wasn`t happy with the feel, then i switched a RD setup for a williams and was much better/faster. Have had success putting your/RD setups together on the williams, seems to work well.

Cheers Phill

No worries and yeah, it strongly depends on the car. :)

Heavily based on my 2011 Spa setup. There's a lot more in there, that's only a rough first version.

Also, if someone could help me getting rid of the white background in the 2012 logo it'd be much appreciated. I always forget how to do such simple stuff, I'm not much of a Photoshop wizard. :)

Forgot to open DRS on one straight so there's surely some more time in it. Shifting is still an issue since the gearbox is breaking rather quick, so I'm shifting a bit slow at the moment. This setup will probably receive improvements sooner or later.

Done in PS, without background. Should be ok. I can send you .psd file if You like.

No, it's ok - who cares if there's a background or not. :D

Also, saw you liked my post on RaceDepartment. Good luck buddy. ;)

Ending off top : yes, i'm still driving the demo, won't buy full game this month.
Still don't know which one to choose (ps3 or PC)

I hope to meet u again on track one day :)

You'd have to get the PC one if we want to give it a go again, I'm deffo not getting the PS3 version this time. :)

More or less. Not as frequently, tho. My wheel is currently being modded, so it'll take at least 10 days until I can get back into business anyway.

Hey Mr. S.
I've just started using your 2011 setups on F1 2011, and what an improvement! My laptimes have gotten much, much quicker. Thanks for these! 👍 :)

No problem. About 2012: my wheel is about to be completed. Sneak peek:
