I hope this clip ain't telling about physics-engine behind whole GT5... cause it's epic fail in many ways. :nervous:

You would think going backwards would make him a lot slower...

Am I the only one who now wants to race a full grid of karts backwards?

I'm sure things like this can be addressed with a quick patch. It is simply a case of changing the max reverse speed of the kart.

Seems the guy has no idea what a backflip is, but other than that; wow, can you really go faster backwards than forwards? -.-

I'm more depressed about fact that you just cant drive with such way if your turning-wheels are back-wheels...

Give that driver a medal, outstanding job, and with no mirrors ! Amazing !

Yeah, lets all focus on the one bad video showing a bug, and ignore the countless others showing supreme gameplay, way to go.

Kart are probably the only ones in GT5 without a reverse IRL. This is not really a bug just the fact Kart has only one gear and GT5 allow it to go in reverse instead having to get out of the Kart and pushing it backward if you got stuck.

I'm sure there is a "back view" button in GT5 so the only difference would have been left/right would be backwards.

does it matter? :P (dont think its physics relatede at all btw..)
can you do it in a real car?

also are karts premium? coz if they dont then i dont wanna buy this game (insert pointless crying here)

Karts in real life have only one gear and no reverse, they had to give the Kart a reverse in GT though as there is no marshal to pick you up in a spin, however all this does is reverse the forward gear so it makes sense that speed is the same.

And then the driver was all over the place but did ok to control the reversing.

As cars have an actual reverse gear you can only go at the speed the reverse gear ratio is geared for. As I and a few toerhs have said as a Kart doesn't have gears its forward speed is the same as its reverse speed.

You can not reverse rotate a KT100 engine unless it is built to be reverse rotated. They only run one direction. Just a bug with brilliant driving!

Yes racing karts have motorcycle-type gearboxes.

And there should be a max speed in reverse. It would get pretty annoying to have that happening in online races.

It's physics-wise which makes me concerned guys... you just cant drive like that if your steering-wheels are back-wheels! Try that with your own cars and you realize what is the bug there...

So my question is... is there Tyre-model for every tyre at all, or are all vehicles just bit-blocks which turns same way no matter are you backwards or not.
