Gd racing last night guys, I learned couple things first depending on tracks that are picked I should maybe pick several different pp combos, and the evo is a joke it wants to do a front indow when hard on brakes lol

It would be hard to have several different complete combos. You always know the first track so you can plan for that.

I will usually have two or three cars waiting in the wings (if there are a few choices in that PP range) depending on how the night goes. Last night I had a few good FR cars in the 465-469pp range I could try depending on the track that was chosen. Sometimes I have a couple of good sets of drivetrains I can use later in the night. Like a 410 FF and a 430 4wd or vice versa. Things like that. But I never really have two complete lineups chosen. Usually a few cars around the same PP in one drivetrain OR two good PP combos using two different drivetrains.

Ok guys I'm 50/50 for tomorrow night as a few things got switched around on me this week. I'll let you know as soon as I know if I can run the races:

Via last test night's winner @kendawg, the first race and qualifying will be at Suzuka (East) with the following Rally Cars (sports soft tires):

The winner of this race will choose from the following three car groups to run on a track of their liking. The car groups are:

From @tezgm99, the Concept Chase (sports hard tires):

From @danfurey, the JGTC GT500 class (sports soft tires):

And finally, I threw together some British MR cars (sports hard tires):

The total PP allowed for the night is 1930pp.

Example line-up:
Lotus Elise '00 418pp
Takata Dome NSX '03 571pp
Hyundai Clix Concept '01 461pp
Ford Escort Rally Car 480pp

Glad you are enjoying DTC. I did notice that your choices (according to the score sheet) had you 7PP over the limit. I have adjusted your total points to reflect this. If anything was recorded incorrectly let me know. For next week make sure to check the PP values for each car against the known PP list. If there are any that appear wrong let me know and I will check them.

Ok I must of forgot to give 1 of the cars a oilchange Srry about that, I make sure that I dont go over pp, I'll check my oil better forgot about that aspect

SH should be fine....we're just talking about what Ken has to use, right?

Edit; aren't we missing the '97 Evo Rally Car on that list?

Any chance on raising the PP Limit maybe 15 pts? It's really hard to stay middle of the PP range on the UK cars with the large gap between the Elise and VX220. Just a thought.

That is sort of the whole point....if you want to use a higher PP car for one race, that means that you'll have to sacrifice the PP somewhere else :/

Thursday night lineup:

Lancer Evo '97 (478pp)
FT 86 Concept (444)
Toyota Supra Denso (576)
Vauxhall VX220 Turbo (430)

OK, no big deal. I really wanted to use the NOMAD :(. I'll go cry in a corner.

Subaru Rally '99 483pp
Opel Speedster Turbo '00 430pp
Pontiac Solstice Concept '02 440pp
Castrol Tom's Supra '01 576pp

Actually, @JoeW switched my Evo and the one @Kgffy used. He ran the GSR TM and I had the RS which is 5 more PP so he was actually only two PP over. 👍

Interested in trying this out, but I don't get the category concept. I read through the first post and it just mentions the PP cap and 4 diff drivetrains. Are the categories just an occasional thing to mix it up?

Yeah, we're trying something different on Thursdays. The usual DTC night is Tuesday :)

Ahh ok, that clears it up, thanks! I often do spec practice on Thursdays, so I'll probably join the Tuesday night festivities.
Look forward to having you Tuesday.

I'll do a quick summary...

Each car in your lineup this Tuesday needs to have a PP between 472 and 522. The total of all four cars cannot exceed 1990pp (this total changes from week to week though). So choose a FF car, 4wd car, FR car and a MR/RR car (we combine these two into one category). All cars will run SS tires this week.

All races are run in Endurance mode at a 15 minute time limit.

The first race will run at a pre-determined track (Rome is this week's choice). We do a short qualifying session (usually 6-7 minutes) to set the grid. Then run the first race. You can choose any car from your lineup to run this race.

The winner of the first race gets to select a track from Group A, B or C (located on the first post of this thread) for race 2. The next 3 races are run in Reverse Grid. The car you selected for Race 1 is no longer usable by you. You must now choose from your remaining 3 cars in the lineup for Race 2.

The winner of Race 2 now chooses a track for Race 3. He cannot choose from the previously used track Groups.

Race 3 is run the same way as Race 2. You only have two cars left to use from your lineup.

Race 4 is chosen from the last track group not already used. You should only have one car left in your lineup to run. If this happens to be your Prius TC at High Speed Ring...then you are screwed ;)

Whoever has the high points for the night chooses the total PP for the next week. Whoever has 2nd place chooses the starting track for the next week (this can be any road track except Nurb Nord since running a qualifier there is ridiculous).

It's really simple if explained verbally but it looks ridiculously complicated when typed and read.
