5 in KOQ for 6 slots.

Clearly I didn't plan on the PS3 update taking so long. Guess I'm definitely out tonight. Sorry @Wardenclyffe.

That's a huge bummer Mark :(
Edit- maybe not!

I had to do stuff on our roof and then help son with some maths. Turned on the PS3 at 8:15ish and it took 30 minutes to finish :(

It's my own fault. Should have done it yesterday. Prior planning prevents piss poor performance, as my Dad used to say.

Lots of great battles throughout the field in tonight's races. Replays are available at the SNAIL Race Car Series open drive.

I had a couple battles that lasted a couple secs. None the less, it was fun! Sucks my partner @vsfit had connection issues? Would of been cool having 2 Motor City Misfits cars in the Big Show!
Had fun! Thnx again Grim!

I wanted to publicly thank @GGGMotorsport for letting me in after @vsfit was having connection issues. I started near the back and figured I'd roll the dice and go for 1 stop. Boy was that a mistake. Tires were 3/0 front and 5/3 rear prior to the first pit.

Race 2 was fun until I forgot to brake for turn 1 while watching @GGGMotorsport start to come out of the pits on his 2nd stop and went into the wall, then lost 4 spots. And I didn't see any lag last night or any other issues. That bothered me a lot last week.

Lol, my wife lives by the 6 P's !

It was a good night for the most part, I was surprised in quali again and very happy to get a 9th place in race 1. I realize I'm still braking a bit earlier than some, so my apologies to anyone that got messed up while on my tail.
My biggest lesson last night came in race 2. While in third on lap three my teammate came up on me just before the hairpin leading onto the back pit straight and I decided to slow a bit so he could go around me. By slowing a bit he had nowhere to go but bump me and then I went too far to the right and straight into the end of the wall, 3rd to 12th, just like that. That was such a bonehead decision on my part, I should have gone around the corner like usual and just moved out of his way on the straight, duh! After cursing myself for half a lap it was back to business, grinning and trying not to spin out, lol.
Lesson learned and move on to next race.

Despite being told otherwise by your race director (Grimm), there are still several of you clowns who still show no patience at the start of races like this.. And you know who you all are..The first couple corners on a track like Cape Ring ?
I mean are you kidding me ? That was a joke yesterday.. I don't mind saying it publicly, and I don't care what it gets me, because I no longer enjoy racing here..And it's because your racecraft and sportsmanship here stinks..
There needs to be a first corner rule..Everyone knows that..I presume there's a reason it wont be implemented.

For some reason, my PS3 decided it was a good time to download a ton of new / old updates. I have to look into the update settings when I get home tonight. Sorry if I kept the room waiting. I was able to log into the game itself, but it just kept resetting. So glad I decided to grind out a ton of the Sunday race reviews early in the week.

I will look at the replays JT, I certainly hope I wasn't the cause of anything. Starting race two mid pack was mahem going into turn 1, being ever so careful not to hit anyone in front by breaking as safely but as late as possible, I can't count the number of times I was hit and knocked through the first corner. I somehow came out of all of it in third by moving over and avoiding any more trouble.
There are definitely a couple of overly aggressive drivers here, but please give it another chance, I'd hate to see you leave!

Yeah the racing has gotten quite a bit more rough over the last couple of seasons. Some of us get caught in the quandary of trying to do well without being victimized. Normally I don't mind a push or tap here and there...as long as the concession is made. But when you get bumped off line and they just drive away then it gets under my skin.

People I had grown to trust are now trying more dangerous moves...and failing to do so cleanly.

I, along with a couple others, joined this as a fun series away from the win at all cost Sunday snail sprint racing. But some here have started to stray from that. The season with the CR-Z saw some of closest and cleanest racing I have seen here. But it seems to have given way to some overly aggressive driving since then. And it is taking its toll on those of us who want it to still be that refuge from the Sunday snail mayhem.

Anyways...still having a good time for the most part. Basically just looking forward to a fresh start next season.

Just from my perspective it's probably because we are getting a Consistant lineup now and we are all just trying to be at the top 10. And to make things harder we have vovik clutch Parker all running hard and showing us all times we didn't think we're possible.

The problem is that no one wants to lose 5 spots on the grid in the first corner by being pushed around from impatient overly opportunistic drivers behind them. I know I take offense to those behind me who think that they can make up 3 positions by simply giving a tap here or there and make room...thinking it's ok because it will get lost in

I have not had a chance to review the replays yet but will be looking them over shortly. Part of the problem was this seasons car and track selection and for that, I'll take the responsibility for putting those options up there. Both cars are a handful and can step out on you if your not careful puls the track selection was rarely used tracks and or common original tracks. Tracks like Trial Mountain and Cape ring are rough and the car will step out on you. Problem is the skill level is still very different from the d1 guys on down and the lower the skill level, the more careful you are and it compounds the issue.

That said, I will be looking at the replays. There have already been a few IR's submitted this week so if you feel one should be submitted, please review the replay and get it submitted before 11:00pm eastern tonight and they will be reviewed.

Thanks

Well when I got bumped off the track by clutch and he just drove off like I was never there, it is what Joe said. Got a disconnect once again so can't save the replay.

Gonna sit next week out and give it another try next season. Maybe some people will figure out how to play nice.

Hey guys - I know the last two weeks have been rough and I have had some other issues occupy my time so I have not been as on top of the thread as normal, however we need to remember to keep the discussion respectful and leave the incidents to the IR's. Complaining about it during, between or after the race in the lobby and/or in the thread is not acceptable. Again, save it for the PM's

...we must race at Midfield Raceway...
GT5 was Parcells first GT game so last night was the first time I've ever driven this track...me likey! Sweet looking track that flows really well, looks stunning and has some nice elevation changes. Call Parcells impressed.
