because the all star race at the end of the season is longer (60 mins vs the normal 40 mins), the setting may be different for the all star race

I will be racing with a different view for the first time tonight, going from bumper to hood. No rear view mirror but I have been practicing with back view button.
So if I do something stupid in front of you I'm apologizing ahead of time:D
Of course this assumes I make it out of KOQ!

Decided to race both races tonight which is why I'm still in the KOQ room.

practised for half a race on race hard tires...that's not gonna help any strategy DOH!

Main event lobby is open as FIXED host. keeping figures crossed that this works this week

Someone needs to back out so I can get in.. I qualified 3rd KOQ.

Just got disconnected. Please wait

I saved the replay so i can check who finished where

I was definitely doing better tonight compared to last night. I didn't do any long distance tests though so I didn't know how to drive the car when tires are at 7 and below in front and 8s in the rear. I broke under pressure and went off or misjudged my lines and went off. Either way, I lost positions due to no fault but my own. I really need to keep my focus and I think I can walk away with some consistent Top 10 finishes.

First, many thanks for all your patience tonight. Was not a smooth process that we all are used to having. I will get the results posted in the next day or so (saturday at the latest) as I have some plans these next couple of nights. Again, sorry for the issues tonight

I want to apologize to all for going off in front of almost the whole pack on the first lap of race two. I had got too hot coming into the right hander before the first overpass and pushed Warden wide. I was moving over to the right to start to slow down to let him pass and got on the grass after checking my new rear view. I stayed on the gas to try and drive straight off the next corner but spun back onto the track. I just watched the replay and I caused a good bit of mayhem so again I apologize.
I'm going to have to practice getting quicker with the rear view button now that I've changed to the hood view.

You have a controller or wheel? If wheel, it's good to set it up on a button you can press with your thumb. That way your hand is still gripping the wheel.

G27 and I set up top left button so it's closest to my left thumb, just held it down too long!
I've had to change views as bumper cam was starting to make me feel a bit dizzy sometimes, hood view gets me a higher view which has helped. I've always liked the latter better but used the former because of the mirror.

Great racing with you guys tonight. You can see my RCS career best finish, 2nd, in race 2, which is posted to our SNAIL RCS open drive along with race 1.

Aero - you didn't mess me up, at least not in a way that affected my race. Race 2 was the first time in what felt like 1000 races that I didn't have a major off on the first lap. Race 1, not so much; I was punted into the grass in the straight after turn 1, which unfortunately happens from time to time (it was a racing incident; nobody is to blame per se).

Hood view is hit or miss. For this car it works, giving you a lot of the hood on screen so you can tell where your front wheels are. Same with the SLS AMG GT3. Other cars however it's almost nonexistent and the higher angle then feels weird.
