Maybe they just should have licenced "Rollercoaster Tycoon" as a track builder...Knowing that PD has people on the forum, I wonder how they all are feeling right now. There seems to be a weird mix of "its crishtmas!!!!" mixed with "and this is what you got me?" I wonder if we will see some updates addressing some of those concerns people are having.
I'm sad that every track has to be a circuit, no point to point stages. Not a fan of not being able to control elevation either, or track width by section. But, that said. I do like this, a lot. They are almost there with it. Just need maybe another track, specifically for karting, that will allow tighter, smaller tracks, and a speedway option. Maybe even with a dirt track option. Some tweaks, and the CM will be one of PDs best ideas.
I've got six different ovals built. I will be testing and tweaking them tomorrow. My eyes are a little fried after working on the iPad. They range from .94 miles and flat with tight corners to 1.99 miles high banked with long sweeping corners. I have one that I will try and make into a Darlington type course and a couple of tri-ovals of different size and banking. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to use. My only real complaint is the fixed distance of the start/finish straight.
I'm thinking a 1.5 mile wth an Indy Speedway layout is going to possible and might make for some good Rocket racing.
Yeah, unfortunately you cannot replicate the elevation changes, or track width by section. My research of VIR said track width varied from 33ft to 36ft, so I decided to go with the wider. The track width is annoyingly important when it comes to getting the tight corners right, if only we could adjust width by section like in GT5...
@RobbiefromBC I gave it a shot trying to get Mission Raceway closer to the right length. It's still too long, but now it's also very narrow lol... But it's 1.8mi which is a lot closer to the 1.35mi length of the real thing. The straight is just too long and takes up too much space...
It should be on my page now.
I loved it! I haven't taken my wheel out yet so I'm testing these tracks with the BRZ GT300. I can imagine they'll be way more fun with the wheel and a higher powered car.Well, it's impossible to create a to scale Mission Raceway, but my very rough recreation is up on my community page
When is the oval league starting up? I'd put a hard drive in my PS3 for that.
Umm yes you can. I've been on all morning on created tracks.Nice, I'll check it out. It's a huge fail that we can't use them online, like in GT5. A step backwards...
Did you manage to get the inner part of he track? I could only get the outer course on my version.I have Miller motorsports Park is anyone wants to download it
i just downloaded it from someone else lolDid you manage to get the inner part of he track? I could only get the outer course on my version.
MMP must be popular cause it was the first track I didi just downloaded it from someone else lol
How? When I went to make a room it won't let me use one of the sample tracks. Nevermind. I went back and it only shows the ones I downloaded from friends. Booooo.Umm yes you can. I've been on all morning on created tracks.
I'll get the thread up in the next couple of days to discuss other details.

No tablet, no problem. Was able to install ANDY and create tracks on my laptop. @DesertPenguin09 you do have a laptop, correct?
Is there really no chance of user created tracks being used in SNAIL?
