Had a pretty good laugh tonight at the hospital, Misses Aero (aka Uku aka Denise) brought me a package from some far away place! An adult Hulu dance costume was inside along with a card. Of course I had to try the costume on, especially as it was shift change for the nurses and they certainly wondered wtf was going on! Yes Shaun, Denise said first thing she would do when I got home was put the costume on and dance the “Iwannalaytonight” dance. Awesome, thanks for that bud

I'm day shift, so anything but COTA!!!
Ha, that does look a bit like a hand. It’s actually an exercise band. I have a few different coloured ones tied to diffferent spots on the bed so I can do upper body exercises. Gotta try keep as much strength up for getting out of the bed and standing plus for overall staying in the best shape possible for when I eventually start rehab. Two weeks today since the accident. Saw article o line about it last night that was kinda creepy to see.Love it! Great job Shaun, and great sport Steve for trying it on and posting a picture. Nice coconuts!
By the way, who's trapped under your mattress? I can see their hand in the upper right. Looks like they're trying to escape.
I was wondering about that. If it was a hit and run or the guy stopped following the accident and if he accepted liability or not......The car’s driver has been charged with disobeying a stop sign, under the Highway Traffic Act, according to Copeland
Are you using an iPad?... there is a mic. Function that allows you to speak into it and it will transfer it to text.LIBLMAO (lying in bed laughing my ass off)
Stood up out of the bed two times yesterday, definitely easier now that I knew what to do, but still real hard.
They are trying to get me moved to my local hospital (10 minutes from my house) and I might get some news on that today. Regardless of what happens, I’m in the hospital (or maybe a convalescence facilty) for six more weeks.
This is because of the way they had to repair my left femur/pelvic/hip bones. I’m not allowed to bend any more than 60 degrees at the hip as there could be a chance that the hip could dislocate which would be bad news. It takes eight weeks to heal strong enough that the worry of that is gone. That’s what makes standing so hard, try standing while leaning back at about a 15 degree angle and only use your right arm and leg to push up and away from the bed. I cannot put any weight on the left so have to hold it up all the while standing on my right which still has healing femur hip break.
Still on some very strong meds so I’m in a constant state of Lobbaness! Even with the meds I still get some good shots of pain sneak through, couldn’t imagine what it would be like without them.
I’m certainly missing all of you and the racing and it is going to be awhile before I sit in my rig again. When I do eventually get home I’ll likely only be able to sit in a chair so I’ll have to use a DS4 but I don’t care. In the meantime, be patient with Mike, I’m going to help him as much as I can which isn’t much. I will keep you guys updated. It takes a lot just to concentrate to write this much.
I had a great visit with Nick yesterday afternoon, thanks for coming by bud.
Hopefully Mike will drag his butt over here again today.
Talk to you all soon I hope!
Steve (Aero)
The driver stopped and admitted right there that he blew the stop. He was in the car with another guy and girl. He has insurance.I was wondering about that. If it was a hit and run or the guy stopped following the accident and if he accepted liability or not.
Yeah, I agree, i always wonder about those non life threatening injuries! My wife will be going to his court date for his charge where she will read a victim impact statement to get just those points across and make people realize what is going on behind the scenes. Plus it helps to have the judge hear it and have it documented for when we go after damages ect.Steve, I’m so glad that things didn’t turn out worse for you. But this line in news stories: “transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries” always pisses me off. I’ve had friends shot and others severely injured in accidents and their lives are never the same, but that “non-life-threatening” blurb makes it sound like you were given a band-aid and some aspirin and walked out of the hospital with a smile on your face. They don’t talk about how this idiot running a stop sign has caused you so much pain and has negatively impacted your quality of life. I admire you for your positive attitude and for fighting hard to get back on your feet, I just hope the guy who hit you realizes what his negligence really cost you. Maybe if other drivers could see what not paying attention can really do, perhaps at least one would drive more cautiously. I’m getting old, so can someone help me down from my soapbox now?

Got moved to my local hospital this afternoon so close to home at least. Six weeks to go! Keeping positive beating down the pain when it tries to bite!
Spiff and Alex are now moved up to A
Shaun how do you edit your videos in Youtube? I like to turn each race into a shorter video. twitch is easy, but can't seem to figure it out in Youtube.
Would be cool if some of the replays were edited to show splices at various intervals including one or two instant replays of the race like when monitoring in that during the race you could see position battles instead of being confined to seeing just from the one driver position who's recording. It will take some post-production editing before posting I guess. This is a lobby I used to race in up until a little over a month ago and I guess this is what he did. Only thing is I would have also liked to have seen the driver names above the cars too. Here is an example of what he did and the presentation. Of course it would also be good to hear the spontaneous audio of the guys during race.
Yeah. I've imagined it could be pretty time-consuming for something like that when already one is busy enough with other activities also. I don't think I would have had the time nor patience to do it either. If I had the time to rewatch, rerecord, edit and upload the races I would. There is the 'spectate' option.![]()
Lobban and McInnes are demoted to B ( cause we suck in A)
Wanted to say that long time but say to myself poor ting Lobbie must be ketching his tail without his lover Aero.tic.. toc... @davidt33

All A guys start with 30 ltrs
All B guys 25

Boy what a great way to start in the A class. Last place in A class for the 1st 2 races and should have been last in A class if it wasn't for Alex and Bear getting caught with pit speed violations in the last race. Had a good time though. I will be missing the next 2 Monday nights for work though, but I will be back in 3 weeks.
