Love it! Great job Shaun, and great sport Steve for trying it on and posting a picture. Nice coconuts!:lol:

By the way, who's trapped under your mattress? I can see their hand in the upper right. Looks like they're trying to escape.

Had a pretty good laugh tonight at the hospital, Misses Aero (aka Uku aka Denise) brought me a package from some far away place! An adult Hulu dance costume was inside along with a card. Of course I had to try the costume on, especially as it was shift change for the nurses and they certainly wondered wtf was going on! Yes Shaun, Denise said first thing she would do when I got home was put the costume on and dance the “Iwannalaytonight” dance. Awesome, thanks for that bud

Ha, that does look a bit like a hand. It’s actually an exercise band. I have a few different coloured ones tied to diffferent spots on the bed so I can do upper body exercises. Gotta try keep as much strength up for getting out of the bed and standing plus for overall staying in the best shape possible for when I eventually start rehab. Two weeks today since the accident. Saw article o line about it last night that was kinda creepy to see.
Collision between motorcycle and vehicle just west of Avonmore

JUNE 29, 2018

NORTH STORMONT — First responders are on the scene of a vehicle and motorcycle collision at the corner of County roads 43 and 14, just west of Avonmore, this morning.

Local firefighters had one lane closed on 43 as they dealt with the situation. The crashed motorcycle with large saddlebags sat on its side just south of the intersection, on 14.

An ambulance was on scene.

Update: SD&G OPP Const. Tylor reports that the motorcyclist, a 58-year-old man, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was travelling eastbound on County Rd. 43 when a car pulled into the intersection, colliding with the bike.

The car’s driver has been charged with disobeying a stop sign, under the Highway Traffic Act, according to Copeland

I was wondering about that. If it was a hit and run or the guy stopped following the accident and if he accepted liability or not.

LIBLMAO (lying in bed laughing my ass off)
Stood up out of the bed two times yesterday, definitely easier now that I knew what to do, but still real hard.
They are trying to get me moved to my local hospital (10 minutes from my house) and I might get some news on that today. Regardless of what happens, I’m in the hospital (or maybe a convalescence facilty) for six more weeks.
This is because of the way they had to repair my left femur/pelvic/hip bones. I’m not allowed to bend any more than 60 degrees at the hip as there could be a chance that the hip could dislocate which would be bad news. It takes eight weeks to heal strong enough that the worry of that is gone. That’s what makes standing so hard, try standing while leaning back at about a 15 degree angle and only use your right arm and leg to push up and away from the bed. I cannot put any weight on the left so have to hold it up all the while standing on my right which still has healing femur hip break.
Still on some very strong meds so I’m in a constant state of Lobbaness! Even with the meds I still get some good shots of pain sneak through, couldn’t imagine what it would be like without them.
I’m certainly missing all of you and the racing and it is going to be awhile before I sit in my rig again. When I do eventually get home I’ll likely only be able to sit in a chair so I’ll have to use a DS4 but I don’t care. In the meantime, be patient with Mike, I’m going to help him as much as I can which isn’t much. I will keep you guys updated. It takes a lot just to concentrate to write this much.
I had a great visit with Nick yesterday afternoon, thanks for coming by bud.
Hopefully Mike will drag his butt over here again today.
Talk to you all soon I hope!
Steve (Aero)
Are you using an iPad?... there is a mic. Function that allows you to speak into it and it will transfer it to text.
( I know...this tech advice coming from bear, right?... don't laugh too hard, you'll split your stitches.)
Course with all the pain meds, you stand the chance of drooling on the pad. But it should make for some hilarious interpretations.
Keep up the good work and that stiff upper lip my friend. Ehh wot?
Just had a thought....two wheel cart dolly might come in handy.... they wheeled Hannibal lector around with that pretty easily.

Steve, I’m so glad that things didn’t turn out worse for you. But this line in news stories: “transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries” always pisses me off. I’ve had friends shot and others severely injured in accidents and their lives are never the same, but that “non-life-threatening” blurb makes it sound like you were given a band-aid and some aspirin and walked out of the hospital with a smile on your face. They don’t talk about how this idiot running a stop sign has caused you so much pain and has negatively impacted your quality of life. I admire you for your positive attitude and for fighting hard to get back on your feet, I just hope the guy who hit you realizes what his negligence really cost you. Maybe if other drivers could see what not paying attention can really do, perhaps at least one would drive more cautiously. I’m getting old, so can someone help me down from my soapbox now?

If you know Steve like I do, there is no doubt in my mind he will be ahead of schedule for the whole rehab process. I'm sure the pain will be there for a long time, but mentally, being a positive guy he won't let it get him down. I was in to see him today before he gets moved to a hospital closer to his home, much better for family to visit and help him recuperate. I got there just on time for him to sqweeze out a dump.....no, I didn't stay in the room while he performed, but you shoulda seen the nurse who came in to wipe his bum. Not quite a Louiza, but, a nine none the less. I was envious, lucky basturd. He had to wait about ten minutes for her to show up..........I would have waited a lifetime.

MOVEMENT

Spiff and Alex are now moved up to A
Lobban and McInnes are demoted to B ( cause we suck in A)

MONDAY NIGHT

Both divisions can drive either of the two cars selected.
A division will pick between the Ford GT LM GTE, or the Corvette CR-7
B division will pick between the Ford Mustang Boss 302, or the Mustang RTR GT4

We'll race at Hooooockinheim with its three layouts.
I might throw in some weather, I'm not sure yet, I tested all of the cars there and both cars are pretty even within their respective divisions.
The A division cars are faster this week.

Laps and fuel will be posted Monday morning.

The driver stopped and admitted right there that he blew the stop. He was in the car with another guy and girl. He has insurance.

Yeah, I agree, i always wonder about those non life threatening injuries! My wife will be going to his court date for his charge where she will read a victim impact statement to get just those points across and make people realize what is going on behind the scenes. Plus it helps to have the judge hear it and have it documented for when we go after damages ect.
Got moved to my local hospital this afternoon so close to home at least. Six weeks to go! Keeping positive beating down the pain when it tries to bite!

I put together a YouTube playlist of the streams I've done for Lobanaro. Maybe you can get some giggles from the chat, or my driving because that is funny too.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaS7bXGMmN4iaTxsyBrlLqPUDxOzp6nMS

Anyone who adds the tag LOBANARO to their Youtube Vids will show up here. So feel free to do that. All my future Lobanaro vids will too.

Also @aerolite, I messaged you about a way you would actually be able to chat and watch along with us if you're feeling up to it and your internet isn't too bad. Let me know if you're interested and I can help you, or your 9/10 nurses, to set it up. :D

Shaun how do you edit your videos in Youtube? I like to turn each race into a shorter video. twitch is easy, but can't seem to figure it out in Youtube.

I normally don't start my stream until after qualifying ends, and stop it as soon as the last ace is over to try and keep it tidy. Then I just export to Youtube from Twitch. There are tools on YouTube to trim any video and I've used those before, a little wonky, but it works.

Would be cool if some of the replays were edited to show splices at various intervals including one or two instant replays of the race like when monitoring in that during the race you could see position battles instead of being confined to seeing just from the one driver position who's recording. It will take some post-production editing before posting I guess. This is a lobby I used to race in up until a little over a month ago and I guess this is what he did. Only thing is I would have also liked to have seen the driver names above the cars too. Here is an example of what he did and the presentation. Of course it would also be good to hear the spontaneous audio of the guys during race.

If I had the time to rewatch, rerecord, edit and upload the races I would. There is the 'spectate' option. ;)

Yeah. I've imagined it could be pretty time-consuming for something like that when already one is busy enough with other activities also. I don't think I would have had the time nor patience to do it either.

Sorry to hear areo about your motorcycle accident , hope to have you back racing very soon , would you like me to track the guy down ,at very least we should make him rebuild your bike,

Any time I've ever had bike accident wether my fault or someone's else's ,I've been more worried about my bike then me,

Get well soon steve (areo ) .

I make highlight videos every single week. Not too hard to do. Fairly simple actually

Boy what a great way to start in the A class. Last place in A class for the 1st 2 races and should have been last in A class if it wasn't for Alex and Bear getting caught with pit speed violations in the last race. Had a good time though. I will be missing the next 2 Monday nights for work though, but I will be back in 3 weeks.

That’s how I was in A until Mike and Bear moved up. You’ll get em!
