I splurged the few extra bucks for the wireless 7 over the Arctis 5, because Bawesomeness deserves wireless.
Should be here by Monday!
Thats bawesome, but
Just to rub it in again, you'll have to charge them. Should of got the wired ;)
But i'm sure the wireless has a long usb wire to charge it anyway, it can just stay plugged in probably.

And I just want to give a shout out to @Gr8_Lakes, for calling someone/anyone, a dipstick. It's been so long since i've heard that haha.

Yeah I get your point. How many times have I heard a guy saying he forgot to charge his headset and thought, 'What a dipstick'. (see what I did there) But, I decidded it will be worth it to avoid the tangles and hassle and having the cat lay on the cord. I don't tons of features (I don't even get the whole audio mixing stuff, at least for gaming) I just want something reliable with quality sound to hear my engine and the latest happenings in the world of toads....

I love anything Porsche, and admit I've never driven the 924. The BMW is a typical oversteering Beemer if I remember correctly. It's amazing how much PCars 2 isn't getting stale for me. Even Algarve is still a newish track for me. I've only raced on it a couple times. My prediction for Monday: I'll end up 3rd overall in Group B.

Don’t fool yourself, 924’s are closer to rebodied rabbits than they are a porsche ;)

You made the right choice going wireless. I don’t like the dangling cord (when I wear the VR headset). Each battery lasts for hours and hours on end and when the base unit shows you’re getting to 1/4 capacity, you can go ahead and charge the other (I don’t like to leave lithium batteries laying around fully charged as it doesn’t help their life).
The sound mixing that you’ll find useful allows you to adjust the volume more to the chat party versus the game sound. It may not work with project cars 2 since the sound from the chat party and sim are together already.

Just to rub it in again, you'll have to charge them.
That is what is great about the steal series wireless is that you can just swap the battery out for the spare battery. They give you a charging plug for the amp/charger so you will always have a charged battery ready to go.

Awww, you guys. Stiffy......that was me who reset right in front of you. I should have looked first, my bad.
GTLayman......Baaaaaaaesome. Whodathunk.
Colts....shut up.

It looks like the Snail rivalry is back on for the end of the month. Who’s interested?

Blancpain GT3 World Challenge at COTA today. Full course yellow with only 20 minutes left made the last 5 laps really close racing. At full tilt the Bentley’s sound like a Messerschmitt BF 109.

Thanks for the races tonight guys. Not my most favorite combination of cars. Unfortunately, it seems like these closely matched cars that handle completely different end up tripping over each other. Not sure if we're trying to keep everyone racing together, but the last couple weeks have seemed kind of frustrating to me. Any time you get some momentum, there's either a slower class car to get around, or your in a faster car's way (and it removes you from it's way). I personally think the racing was cleaner when Group A was racing Group A, and Group B was racing Group B. Again, my opinion. I respect and appreciate the work of our gracious race organizers, and will leave it at that. As always, thanks to all that turned out. Probably no YouTube video this week, because I never really had a good race tonight.

Oh, and sorry about the "squeeze" Mike. :scared: I never knew you were there. :O

Apologies to @Herimopp89 for the last race. Would have been a good one. Too bad others who can't drive their cars have to ruin a good thing. :banghead: Looking forward to racing you again.

I can understand your frustration, I'm also one that doesn't really enjoy the shenanigans. I don't get enough opportunity to race with clean racer's in the first place, so I don't like to fool around when it's supposed to be straight forward racing. Believe me, it's rare that we let the night go off the rails, but I just think it was an uncharacteristically less-fun combo, and that led to a DGIF attitude for the last race. Hope it doesn't keep you away. I knew immediately why you left the room. (In fact, I'll probably skip out on any "drive only off the track, or drive the track in reverse nights - it's just not my thing. I don't get to play enough to get bored with the regular content. But, not my ball, not my field, etc.)

It goes without saying how much I love this group though. Even Alex, who I've been giving a lot of schitte the past couple weeks. What's up with that? Sorry buddy, I'll work on it.:lol:

And Steve, be well my friend. I'm afraid I'm pushing myself too hard as well. I really shouldn't be racing, but it's like the ONLY fun thing I do right now. So I understand the desire to be present. But please don't push yourself too hard. I'm very impressed you were wise enough to pull the plug, but also worry it meant you were in some serious pain when you had to bail completely. So sorry, I literally feel your struggle. You'll get there in time.

I agree, I prefer more separation between A and B classes as well. It's way more fun to navigate thru lap traffic, especially when you get to do it as a "slower" driver. Believe me, I'm the king of messing around... when everyone is on the same page. My club invented the Knockout Night, which is a farking BLAST, and I think everyone should come check it out and laugh their a$$ off, and crashing others like everyone else is.

Watch my replay. The lap before the first incident, Heri and I were going back and forth, battling each other while trying to keep Sgeti behind us. It was an awesome clean race, and then just shot to 🤬 because someone wasn't having fun.

I thought both cars were great, again, maybe because my club ran both cars not more than 2 months ago. Maybe I should have shared a tune, but it wasn't until the last race I heard a lot of complaints.

I left when the race was over and I managed to avoid the carnage. Took my hard earned +9 Driver rating points on the night and went home. I could have left early and got an extra 30mins sleep for my 3AM shift in the morning, but decided to stick it out because the cars felt great and I could still be in bed before 8:30. I felt the need to reply to the thread, so, so much for sleep. :ouch::lol:

On a positive note. I defended the honor of Shaun's everywhere for the top Mr. Bawsome spot! Suck it haters!

At 0:23:50 I decide - Just don't screw up, and you'll finish in this position. You watch the rest. You can see in my mirror that there was absolutely no indication that Mike might be trying to overtake me. (They don't make an emoji for: I'm guilty beyond a reasonable doubt).

I honestly think I deserve some kind of punishment for that one. But it's friggin' hilarious to watch now.:lol::lol::lol:

No worries at all it was a blast to race you the person i felt bad for was @potvinsuks . Us three were running nose to tail for the third race and at one point i was sideways entering a turn and got into him. Other than that one issue i had a blast the cars were fun to drive even thou the porsche could've used about 3k more rpms.

I’m sorry Dad, after you left, the room went to shyte. I guess we won’t score that last race. Puddles.....no worries mate, I was laughing harder than anyone. I would have squeezed you too, but on purpose, last lap and all.
Aerowimp and I were trying to get closer racing between the groups while still scoring as two classes. I’ll tell you, it’s harder to pick combos this way, trying to find different cars that can compete with each other. I thought it was working ok, but maybe Steve and I can discuss it. What do the rest of you think?

It’s our two year anniversary in a couple of weeks and still full rooms most nights. Awesome.

The following is a BOB post!

Well, I haven't spoken to Mike yet, but watching Shaun's replay I wasn't very impressed. We like to have a fun evening but the racing must stay clean, respectful, and keep to the rules. There were some in the race trying to do just that and had their race wrecked. I don't know how many times I have to say this, but if something is going wrong, either because you're having a bad race, or something is glitching, just retire to the pits, period, very simple. If you want to quite the room, do it before the race starts. If you are the recipient of a glitch, well s**t happens, let the room know there is a problem and retire to the pits. We don't need to hear about it for the next five minutes. Also, if it is suggested you do something that you know is not right, you do what you know is right, just because someone tells you to jump off a bridge doesn't mean you will. I would suggest watching Shaun's race 4 replay.
As I have mentioned, I was one of the 33% that voted against the four race format. Our original 3 race format was successful and made the room popular, and adding in an occasional different format every once in awhile worked. It seems to me that we have had quite a few more issues since changing to the new format. Like Shaun M. mentions above, I enjoyed the challenge of navigating through slower cars or having faster ones getting past me, with close to full rooms each week there should still be others to race with. I'm not sure what to do now.
Sorry to be a stick in the mud, but sometimes things just need to be said, unpopular as it may be. But it's the only way to keep a league running successfully.

BOB out.

I must be in the minority, I liked both cars.
I think the idea of having two classes of cars which are close to performance levels can make for some fun, clean close racing for the entire lounge. One car may be quicker on the straights, while the other car may dominate the curves.

Last night just proved one thing, as soon as dad leaves the kids alone, the kids mentality is equal to if not less then their shoe size. I agree with @sgohsixthree , messing around can be a blast, as long as we all know the guidelines prior to the race. Some may not like that kind of stress relief, that is fine. To change the type of racing during the last race of the night due to some cars not responding properly was not the best call. I had some great laps with @Rednose58 in that last race and all I can remember thinking was, I hope @Alex ONeill does not take us both out and end this battle.

2 years !!!! So where are you two guys taking us on this special night? We expect nothing short of a honeymoon adventure.
