Other than the 🤬 lobby issues again, that was a fun night, and a surprise when the game gridded Grp A behind us, certainly made for even more interesting first laps. The rain was a blast but a challenge in some corners for sure. Thanks for your patience guys, I know Mike had enough after his third DC, don't blame you bud, we missed you for sure. Alex, congrats on the sweep, and for taking over the hosting for the night.

Congrats to @RobbiefromBC , this weeks "Mr. Awesome" for the Grp A overall win

Congrats to @Alex ONeill , this weeks "Mr. Baawesome" for the Grp B overall win

I would like to thank the academy and everyone else that made this possible. I'd also like to thank Tecate and Sky Vodka for taking a chance on an unknown kid!!!!! Haaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because Mike and I are basically lazy BOB's, we have decided to work our way through the rest of the combo's that were picked by our longstanding members. We will pick the time and weather for them though, that was a perk Lehman got for winning the draw to run on the anniversary.

Next week we will run Bear's combo, however, because he and Red had both chosen SPA, we really don't want to run races so close to one another at the same track, so we thought Bear's car choices would work better at Classic SPA.

Track - Historic SPA

Group A - Porsche 917 CanAM

Excellent! I saw that coming, and it just makes sense even if it was bourne of laziness.
This should be another great combo, thanks to Bear. And it does rain often there as well.

Aahhhh yes, rain, the great equalizer. Historic note... back in the day, Canadian driver John Cannon wrestled his outdated, rather bulbous small block Mclaren can am car through the field passing even the mighty big blocks, not once but twice! In the rain of course.

Or was it a method which incorporated the members of the lounge after a year of dedicated, unwavering, loyal support to show them in a thankful and meaningful manner to respect and honor their long hours of testing which led deep into the morning hours.

Who am I kidding, 5 weeks of not testing and taking the easy road,:bowdown: These BOB's appear smarter than you think. :sly:

Jeez Sgeti, you're smarter than you look. Nail?....here comes the hammer.
The way I look at it, all the combos you guys picked are good ideas and we are always ready for ideas. It's just every time we asked for ideas before, Bear was the only one to respond and we all know what he wanted.......the Clio at Daytona Speedway. I wonder how the 69 Camaro would handle Daytona?
I'm bugging Aeroplop to run another oval night on a Monday....I know some of you don't like ovals, but I like them and I really don't care what you Bozos think. Lol. There are some cars in the game other than the usual stock and open wheelers that really provide a challenge turning left. We won't do it if there is not a majority in favour. Who's with me?

LMFAO......Damn Sgeti, you know us too well!

Not fond of ovals, but I did enjoy the ones we've done. I think it's great to just have a variety, and PCars2 offers exactly that. Camaros and Daytonas at Daytona I say. Or even Mojave...

I'm ok with an oval, but if you ever stick group b in a clitoris, and group a in the camaro....well most times bears are pretty amiable, but they have been known to just lose it!...and as Vincent Price once said..."Not a pretty sight"

I will be out for the next two Mondays - Taking a road trip to Tuscon, AZ and returning via Vegas for about 7000 km in total. Hope to be safe and back on the 9th of April. May miss that night too, but we'll see. The wife's car will at least be nice for the warmer parts.....

Please tell me that Classic Spa is circuit de spa Francorchamps GP and not Spa historic.

What is this fascination y'all have with rain lord amighty.

Sounds good. I could be down for the ovals.

Have a great trip Red, looks like a nice set of wheels for the warmer climates!
We won’t run your combo until you return.

I didn’t have the game close by to check when I posted, but if it’s called Historic instead of Classic, then my apologies, but either way it’s the old one.
Once you’ve driven it a few times I think you will come to like it. I know more than a few people who disliked it at first but now really enjoy it.

Oh man, that was dirty. Spent hours testing on wrong track. Old spa is like crossing Kansas, 8 hours of straight ahead driving.

Real men race in the rain. And at night. So it is written, so it shall be done.
As Bear said, rain is the great equalizer. #AyrtonSenna #Monaco84 #Estoril85 #Donnington93

Yup, I don't think the word boring has entered my thought's when on this track in those Porsche's! It is going to be a real challenge again, much like the night we put the A's in the Lotus 98T and the B's in the 49C, albeit not quite as much a speed difference but still enough that both groups are really going to have to be aware of what's going on around them, plus these cars are much wider. Then we throw in a possible shower or two :mischievous: :D

Quick question. Are any of these Porches in the new Porche Legends pack that you have to select in a roundabout way in order to hold and not lose power?
Both are Safe David. I think the 908 is a naturally aspirated v8 anyway... could be wrong though!

If any Grp A guys get some times and fuel usage over the next few days can you let me know please. It will be wet as well so some times in those conditions would be helpful also. It will be summer but spread over the day. Thanks.

with so much long straights, the 917s are going to waste the 908s. I was hoping to have a more equalizing track. It's why I didn't pick lemans. I was going to suggest Watkins glen, but we just ran it not long ago. It would be cool to have a track where the nimble 908 could gather up the mighty 917 in the tight spots and the 917 to stretch its legs in other spots. Rather than getting lapped halfway thru.

Well the 917 was going to stomp the 908 at modern SPA as well with its too long straights so we figured changing to Historic would be ok. We just didn’t want to race modern SPA twice within a few weeks. The rain and A’s having to change tires will make it a bit more interesting.
It’s getting a bit late to change tracks but it was your pick, so if you can come up with a different track by lunch tomorrow that works well for the cars then I’d be ok to change. I don’t think Mike would object either.

Nurburgring? ... silver Stone? Or Watkins glen gp. I was able to beat the 917 lemans version with a Lola t70 in gt legends.
Actually Canadian John Cannon put his bulbous small block Mclaren in 1st place at a very wet laguna seca in 1968. Beating the big block Mclarens, and Donahue Penske team.
But some are not fans of that track.

Oh Bear... Steve allows you to pick a new track, and you pick four. :lol::lol: I guess bears are very indecisive. You just need a decision machine!
