I’m out too folks, I’ve had a bad back my entire (short) life, and I tweaked it pretty bad today at work. I probably won’t be back for a good three weeks, as after this week I’ll be babysitting my car at the auto show, and then I’ll be down in California going racing at ThunderHill. Busy busy!

Hope you feel better soon @aerolite, maybe eat a couple brownies? I know I will ;)

Guy's, hope the night turned out ok. I need some of you to fill in the blanks for me, (red ?'s), in the score sheet and then I will adjust. I was only able to see top ten in Mike's broadcast, wanker forgot to scroll down list so I could see the rest :D

Edit: Just talked to Mike and he filled in all the blanks for me, so score sheet should be correct now. Glad to hear the night turned out ok.

Congrats to @dret7277 , this weeks "Mr. Awesome" for the overall win  (You do realize what this means Nick!)

Yup. Dr Dre and CB was on fire last night. Those two guys were right in front there from the get go racing a keenly contested race. Awesome racing IMO.
BTW, our boy Lobbie did quite well also. Congrats to all. At the end of races there were some dune buggies on the track though. Long story. You have to see the replay to understand.

I graciously bowed out after the first race though. My Crew Chief refused to load packets so never got going communicating and I didn't like racing without his spotting and updates. And as we know the in-game Game Engineer and Spotter are useless.
Also I couldn't see the mini-track map a lot of times due to the track map being thin and white with little to no contrast against the sky when it went to a whitish shade of blue. That was a bummer for me as a clue to where I was on the track and upcoming turns. So thought it was best for me to bow out and watch the next race to avoid being a hindrance to others.

Did you know you can move any of your HUD displays around? So you could put your map bottom left for example so it wasn’t on the sky background.

Yeah I know. Was considering moving it, looking for another potential spot below but being that is where the cockpit is with the steering wheel, HUD fuel gauge etc and the car's side mirrors occupying that bottom panel area it wasn't practical for me. Plus I like the dynamic mini-track map above and to the left of the steering wheel so the track and the map is in close proximity while focussing on the road being able to glance at the map easier without taking my eyes off that viewing proximity to shift below.
Normally the position works well with ample contrast but the mini-map for that particular track was thin and white and the sky at times turning a lightish hue didn't help much. If square translucent underlay behind the track map was a bit darker it would have helped for better contrast whether or not the sky is blue, dark or light but they have it too light IMO for the superimposed track especially when the map track is thin and white. Light on light on light never makes for good contrast.

Or you can shut it all off and drive like the real guys did. :)
Come to think of it, I'm not sure my sportter was working . But then not many people were. Passing the last place guy!!
Everytime I was having a good lap I hit a damn farmhouse! Gotta go back to tuning out all the fun conversation I resckon.
Feel better soon to all you guys with ailments, nothing worse than having sickness and injuries get in the way of fun .

Yeah right. No.
Hey GT you were going so well in the first race until you ran out of gas. Going for the pit midway and just about missing the pit entrance, poor ting. I felt your pain. Helluva ting trying to make it back around and run out of gas eh? Lord amighty. That was you right?

It was GR8, I was watching a bit of his feed just as that happened. It was painful to watch him try to get around and run out so close to the end of lap.
If that ever happens to someone, just missing pit entrance and not being sure to get around, just back up and go into the pits.

Yeah, it was Gr8 in true. Mixed up the Gs.

No, I was the G guy having a fairly good race with Bear for a lap until I hit a farmhouse or something that turned my car into a dune buggy...
I guess we Americans all look alike to you David - especially in Blue and Orange cars with partial bodywork!

Didn't we just run some quadrapeligic cars not long ago?

Bear, I demand that you like this car. I might suggest practicing a bit to get a feel for it before race night. You might not like quads or fwd, but the rest of us do and they will continue in the future. Believe me, we test every car for fun factor and this car is near the top of the list. We are gonna kick some A ass.
I heard the race might be cancelled due to inclement weather in Japan, bring all your tire types.

I think Bear didn't get much sleep this hibernation, he's grumpy... I
Geez you guys, I'm not grumpy!... I'm being a Bob!... I've been taking a lot of ribbing...now I'm giving it back...
Remember that commercial, let's get Mikey, he won't like it, he hates everything.
Oh, by the way...I just got first place in wed, night league. In the lmp3 of all things. I was the slowest lap times, but the most consistent, seems hour and a half races I'm good at. Tire management. Tiiirrress cole, tiiirress win a race.

I'll drive it but I won't like it, it's not old enough, it smells funny, it sounds funny. It's not loud enough. It's ugly. Bears can't fit in it very good.

Sadly I'll be in Detroit next Monday night, but I would've been happy to drive the Audi. It's a very fun, responsive car. You guys enjoy, and I'll be back the following week.

Bear's consistency is what I'm really lacking lately. My hiatus has taken it's toll, and this past Monday, well those were some long straight sections. I'm afraid I "over indulged" a bit. I was actually kind of shocked at how many cold ones I'd put away by the end of our racing session. Went on to do a couple more races with Bear, his boys, and a few others. I didn't finish one race without leaving the track or going backwards :boggled:. I did have a lot of fun though - too much? Nah. See y'all in two Mondays, in a Ford perhaps? :sly:

You're right Bear, the car does smell weird. Mine smells like...*sniff*.. peanut butter and...*sniff* maple syrup. Who's been driving this thing? It even has a hint of AVGAS odor. And there's... like...used balloons in the back seat? The thing has Eye-tali-yan tires fer cryin' out loud. On the plus side, it has a rear-view that I can see while I drive, so I may be able to actually drive without distractions like the real guys - if I can figure out how much fuel I have...

I took your original comment about the quadriplegic car as being serious so it got my back up right away. Coming up with weekly combo's can be a chore sometimes as you're trying to please as many as you can, so when I read that I reacted the way I did. I've also been a headache riddled BOB all week, so I'm not in the best frame of mind to begin with.
A good thing to do when you post something like that, which could be taken the wrong way, is to use Emoji's (the little smiling face in the top bar :D ) or a simple haha or lol. Sometimes it plain obvious when someone is being funny or sarcastic, other times it's not.
