Well, one year down for the Lobanaro Lounge and what a year it's been. How many other leagues can say they have done 47 nights of racing without any serious squabbles or animosity between the members? It proves we can still compete in a clean environment, but walk away at the end of the night with a sore belly from laughing so much at each other. Pat yourselves on the back guys, you deserve it.

Sorry for the room screwup, the gremlins were making changes on me making me look dumb.....dumber? Whatever.

GR8Lakes, ya wanker......never touched you, it was close, look at the replay, but we aren't throwing grenades here. Lol. You got me at the end tho.....damn.

It sucks getting DQd by a stupid mistake I seem to make over and over. I was killing it in race 1. One of these days.

David, wtf, you missed a good one last night. I was sure you would have been there. You thought the devil track COTA was tough the first time? Last nights track would have come from the deepest darkest recesses of hell for you if you didn't practice. Missed you though.

Wadda ya think? 69 Camaro for A and the Clio for B next week? Just to piss Bear off.

I lapped Rednose in the rain. Yeah, I can't believe it either. There's a first time for everything.

Thanks again all you Pig Dogs for making this Lounge a success. Thank you.

Nice racing Lobbie. You real get on in that wet race. It look like you like it wet. Sonovagun.
In race 3 you were doing so well until the end there. Bear was giving you a good run for your money. Gr8 too. It didn't look to me like you hit Gr8 either. Think you may have spooked him is what it was.

Nope, I don't think you made contact either. I think you're right about taking the air off my rear wing though. You can see how I got loose and had to make a big steering correction. And that's just good racing on your behalf. Nice move. You definitely were putting the pressure on!

Is that what they call running outta talent nowadays? Taking the air off the wing? :lol: jokes of course, looks like you two had a good dice there!

I think it’s the same thing as when Rosburg went wide at COTA a couple years back and said it was a gust of wind. Lol

Edit: I didn’t mention that Hamilton passed him for the lead of the race and won the championship at the same time!!

Here are some pics of the rain soaked weekend.

1 year.jpg

Guy's, March 20th marks one year since the first race here, so next Monday will be our anniversary race night. I know Mike thanked you guys this TOPP, but I want to personally thank all of you who have helped to make our race night such a fun night. I think it has gone really well, we have tried quite a few different ways of running the evening but I do believe our current version is working out great. This night has allowed us to race with quite a few of our old buddies from the GT days and also make some great new friends here in the Lounge. So a great big :cheers: to all of you and I look forward to another year!

Mike and I have been trying to think up something different that we could do to celebrate and have come up with this. There are seven individuals who have been with us since the start, (or very close to it), who are still here racing with us now. They are:
@SGETI
@Rednose58
@GTLehman
@Gr8_Lakes
@GUTTERBOY3007
@yogi bear
@sgohsixthree

It would be great if each of you listed above could come up with a combo for next Monday, so a GrpA car, a GrpB car and a track, totally up to you. We will also ask the owner of the winning combo to specify time and weather for each race, so keep that in mind. Please post your selections here. To keep it fair and not play favorites, I will put your names in a box and have my wife draw a name, (and file the others away for future possibilities!).
I'll set a deadline for Sat at noon.

:cheers:

My suggestion:
The First Annual BoB Formula Ford Festival
To be held at Oulton Park, England - the country that gave us FF.
Featuring-
Group A in the SMS Formula R
Group B in the 1967 Lotus 51

The cars are a pretty close match, the FR being just a bit quicker, maybe mainly due to the 51's vintage tires.

How's that for shine!?

Surprise, surprise....:lol: About as much surprise as what Bear's pick will likely be :D

Ok....I don't get the "How's that for shine!" Must be an Island term!

I could live with that.

Bear informed me he wouldn't be able to post his car suggestion himself and wanted me to do it for him. Behold:

What? We can suggest more than one?? Well...
But seriously, the 917/908 combo is excellent .

How cool are these? I'm so jealous of my son. Lego's are awesome now. My wife's sick of me buying my son Lego's for no reason. Buy look at them! I'd buy them for myself if I didn't have a son!

@yogi bear
Bear, please confirm your combo, thanks.

Only one pick guys, let’s not start to get confusing, you will mess with Lobban’s mind!

@davidt33 *run*

I edited the anniversary post re choosing the combo.
Awww... it's fun to mess with lobbans mind....hey!!...he messes with mine!... it's only fair....
Ok.... confirm for the Porsche combo for my choice.

Too many curves on a Porsche for it to be made of blocks ;)

My suggested combo:

1966 Ford Mustang RTR TransAm & 1967 Ford MkIV at Road America.

Group A/B? - Up to the management to decide who drives what.
Nope, you choose which one you want to drive.......all we are doing this week is pulling a name from a hat!

Another N'or Easter another two days without power. This time we got around 15 inches and only 60 mph winds. Cable n internet still out. using phone hotspot till tonight. Will get pick shortly.

Monday was a blast trying to find a way around those 959's. Yeah Steve I know you passed me :bowdown:, I'm sure you saved the replay. :lol::lol:
By the way, Your right tail light is out.

Hopefully will be back up n running tonight, see you guys then.
