If the cars racing at Sebring right now are too new and fancy for you BoBs... here is another race more your speed. Live too.
Pretty sure thats a 69 Camaro for @yogi bear . And its snowing!
Some good racing at Sebring yesterday. I noticed in the IMSA feed, in the section where you can choose the different camera car feeds, that it said not available in the US. Do you guys not get this option? I spent about 1/2 hr with the 911 Porsche while he was chasing the Ferrari for 1st place, that was awesome. Being in the #90 Cadillac when he had that big shunt was crazy, and also in the Mazda when he was avoiding it!

Thanks for posting the Goodwood feed, some amazing cars there. This race between the two Lotus Climax's was really good!

Some Sunday morning music just to lead into Monday nights races.

As great as it sounds, the audio was obviously added in during the editing. The revs don't match the tach in the onboard footage. I know, I know, I'm being an overly observant dork. It's still great footage of some of the best cars, drivers, and racing that ever existed.

I loved the Goodwood racing video. Impressive how hard those guys are willing to race those extremely valuable classics. Oh, to be rich... It would be so nice.

I got down to 1:54s on the big track. Yup, I was practicing the wrong car :dunce: .

Has anyone else practiced the Lotus 51? Were your tires smoked after six laps? I was on track tires, and they were GONE after five laps. Odd.

Yeah don't use track tires. Use the vintage tyres. Plus they work in the rain. Nudge, nudge, wink wink, say no more. say no more...

Is this helpful to anyone? I'm going to print and laminate one. (Actually, I'm now seeing that since the last update, the pit strategy is calculating the tire pressures pretty well on it's own... cool, and shocking that SMS got something right).

Hopefully "the management" abandons their rule of no rain if there's more than one track layout. Let's not waste a perfectly good LiveTrack! Zippit @davidt33 !:lol::lol:

From what I understand, Monday's forecast for northern England is vicinity showers. Remember your brollies and your wellies, Mind the puddles...

It is indeed, but SMS has been doing quite a few things right lately.

Haha.....a general rule of thumb but not always the case.
Mr. Lehman selected the conditions for you this week as well.

Dang. I did a lot of practice but I assumed/ran only 1 Oultan Park layout. You guys are BoB enablers! ;) Spent a lot of time making adjustments trying to make the Lotus 51 not sooo tail happy. In any case, this thing is really stable under full throttle.

Lol Rob. 99% of the time we will run all the layouts available if possible and most times in the dry. When there is just the one layout you can count on at least one race being wet. Another thing to remember is the time of day, it is always good to practice with cooler track temps as well as it makes a big difference.
The good thing about Oultan Park is one setting works pretty well for all three layout's.

Very fun combos. Missed Mike though.

Stream starting with race 2.

Sorry I "derped up" the start of the last race. Looking back, I went too wide trying to leave the inside open. Got loose on the rumbles, and it all went pear shaped after that.

Yeah, it's too bad for the game connection kerfluffles that lost us some people.
I didn't do as well as I had hoped, but had a great time anyway, glad that the combo seemed to work well.

I appologize to Vaper and the other Group A guys I fouled by trying to get out of the way, and getting IN the way instead. I'll hold my line better in the future to avoid that.
On the plus side, I don't believe we had any wheel to wheel contact!

Cheers all

Good point! The racing and passing was super clean! It was just the slides/spins that caused trouble. And those pesky puddles! But man, the rain was FUN! BTW, WTH @davidt33 ? No rage quitting permitted! In all seriousness, I hope you weren't frustrated by anybody. We definitely missed having you in the mix.

:gtpflag: Results :gtpflag:

Other than the 🤬 lobby issues again, that was a fun night, and a surprise when the game gridded Grp A behind us, certainly made for even more interesting first laps. The rain was a blast but a challenge in some corners for sure. Thanks for your patience guys, I know Mike had enough after his third DC, don't blame you bud, we missed you for sure. Alex, congrats on the sweep, and for taking over the hosting for the night.

Congrats to @RobbiefromBC , this weeks "Mr. Awesome" for the Grp A overall win

Congrats to @Alex ONeill , this weeks "Mr. Baawesome" for the Grp B overall win

No appologes nessacery I don't want to wreak almost anyone and I know nobody wants to either it takes two and in motor sports accidents happen that's part of the challenge we got such a good group of guys it's just fun being apart of this league.

Thanks guys, that sucked missing, but my fuse was pretty short last night anyway. I'm pretty sure it was the game that was screwing up on me. It wouldn't recognize my wheel for a while where it worked everywhere else. Then the third DC was the straw........BoB came out and nobody wants to hear a BoB in meltdown, especially this one. I picked up the book I'm reading and got lost in it. Better mood today.

I just recently upgraded our internet service, but I'm not very familiar with hosting. I'll start familiarizing myself with the setup options, and if we need somebody else to step up and host, I'll give it a try if needed. Depending on distance 100 miles - 2000 miles, I'm getting Ping:11-80, Download: 95-75, and Upload: 11.5-8.5. So I should have plenty of stability. The only weak link is me, and my inexperience with setting up lobbies. Hopefully things start working out better for Mike though. I hate see him frustrated, and hate not being able to race with him even more.

Hi GT Shaun. It was a fantastic combo IMO. The car to me was handling very nice both in practice prior to race day and on race day. And the tracks, very nice too. I looked forward very much to Monday racing but alas it was not to be about 4-5 laps to pit midway of the first race. Thought it may have been best at the time to call it a night, have a few smokes and cool my herbs.
Pity about the issues Lobbie were having....others too. I feel your pain. You were missed. It was very odd not to have you there racing. I know you had to be looking forward to it also.

David, I had a few spins and slides, and even got tangled in some of the other racer's wipeouts. But I just got back on track and motored on. Missing the past couple months has made me realize that being in the the race is much better than watching it from a bar stool in Detroit. We all have our tipping points though, and good on you and Mike both to have the good sense to walk away and cool your heads. Like I said, I missed having both of you guys to race with. Next week will be better. (Fingers crossed)

Nice job @Alex ONeill

In the wet race I started with wets and do the pit stop without changing tires. I started the last lap in 1st place with @RobbiefromBC on my gearbox only for me to screw up the first turn and hand it to him on a platter. My plan was to try and be as wide as possible so that he could "earn" the win in a more competitive way, but oh well.... He was 4 seconds a lap faster with whatever tires he put on at the pit stop, but only on the last 3 laps. I think wet tires all the way was probably the fastest strategy....

@SGETI you were definitely not the only one on wets at the start. Robbie had them on (i'm sure) as well as me.
