Glad to hear that you are doing well and things are progressing. Miss you on race night. Are the Physio nurses as nice to look at as the blonde at the other hospital? Hope so. Keep working towards getting better and looking forward to seeing you back.
one of the physio girls is easy on the eyes but not as good looking as Martine (the one you referenced). Nurses are a mixture here, but I have had a fair share of good looking younger ones. Two of them went to school with my nephew.
None are as hot as that last one (at the other hospital) that wiped my bum the day Mike was there!

Thanks for the update Aero. Seems like y'all have a top class health system over there bro.
When you are brought into the the system like I was it’s pretty amazing. The care is top notch and all my needs tended to right away all the time. What few things are not covered by our national health care system will be covered by my auto insurance.

Good care makes the recovery time more bearable ( notice that?,,bear able....) when I had my heart attack, (which doesn't even come close to what you are going through) but I was to not do any exertion, to give my heart just like any injured muscle, time to heal. Hospital stay was top notch and Mama bear doted on me when I got home. I thought I would be bored stupid, but she made the time fly by. You have the right attitude and mindset my friend.

Hey guy’s, thought I’d give you an update. Tomorrow will be three weeks since the crunch. I’m at my local hospital now, so close to home and much easier on Denise. Got as good a view as I could ask for here which helps. I’ve been standing each day now with physio but that’s all we can do for now. We still use a winch and a sling to transfer me from bed to wheelchair so I can at least get out of the room and go outside for a bit. Just sitting up in bed with legs over the side feels so freak’in good. Can only do that with physio girls though. I can only put weight on my right leg and though it feels good to stand it still takes a huge effort and wears me out out pretty good.
Next Tuesday I go back to the hospital where I was for the first two weeks to see the surgeons and get updated x-rays. But right now it looks like at least five more weeks here and then rehab somewhere else.
I’m still on morphine 24/7 so the pain management is good, though when it starts to wear off a bit I’m reminded pretty quickly of what’s going on down there. Night times are not much fun but getting better each day.
I’ve been learning more about what happened with the surgery ect. I also now realize how close I came to either not making it or being paralyzed, the chief surgeon said I didn’t want to know how close it really was. I arrived at the trauma center at 10:30 on that fri morning but they didn’t operate until the sat morn. I learnt a team of eight orthopaedic surgeons spent 7 hrs trying to figure out the plan of attack for the surgery. There were 10 surgeons involved in the 13 1/2 hrs I was in the OR that Sat. They did it in three stages. Then on the following Wed there were four surgeons that worked on my lower leg for 5 1-2 hrs.
Things have been healing very well and all my staples have been removed, it was close to 120. I’ve been having lots of visitors, enough that the nurses were wondering who the hell I was, lol. Mike’s been to see me a few times but now it’s a fair bit further for him to go, but it’s a good excuse for him to get off his ass and get out!
It’s going to be awhile yet before I’m back but I’ve been catching some of the feeds. Missing you guys and the racing a lot, but hopefully the time will pass quickly.

Wow, that's all pretty intense. I really have to hand it to the doctors who can do all of that planning and make it happen to save somebody's life.

One good thing to come of this is that I personally have redoubled my attention when looking down the road before I pull out. A friend of mine has posted a few times on fb how humans tend to condition themselves to expect things and how this applies to motorcycles. So, if you pull up to the same intersection every day, and for 100 days there is nothing coming, that is what you expect. So if something, particularly a motorcycle, is coming down the road on day 101 and the driver stops and looks like they do every day, they actually won't perceive it because they've been conditioned.

Glad you're on the road to recovery and things are better every day. Help a brother out and post some pics of those cuties that are swarming you ... wearing hula outfits...

I won't be able to race on Monday night, but took out the XBow-R for a spin last night in Bannochbrae....

Why do I miss all the fun races?

If it happens that there is rain in Scotland - be wise in your choice of tires. Recommended is not necessarily faster....

I didn't try snow, but you never know what can happen in the Scottish highlands

Reading up on the concept of the track I found the reason why it is so popular among some of our members. See of you can spot it too and keep your eyes open for where they park their cars to "wait"......

"The concept for the Bannochbrae road course actually happened over four years ago, believe it or not," he says. "We wanted to represent the kind of beautiful sweeping roads and countryside that many fans in the UK love to take road trips to visit. A pit lane positioned beside a petrol station near a small village, a loch complete with sailing ships, a high viaduct and local chapel, and even some animated sheep make this an ideal location for historical recreations."

Mike, Aerolite

I'd like to tip toe back into some organized races, could I have a spot on your reserve list? I'd be ready to go this Monday if there's room.

Thanks,
Hobbs

If Mike allows you can have my spot. I won't make the next 2 weeks due to work.

No problem Hobbs, with Stiffy off for a couple of weeks, I'm sure we can slide you in. As long as you understand if we fill up the room with regulars we will have to boot you. It's summer, should be ok.

psssst....Aye Cheese.
----->Laps and fuel. Tick tock tick tock.....
Get cracking.
You tell him David, he's just being lazy hanging around the house :D I'm having a hard time getting him to travel out of the city to come and see me here!
I will be trying to get stuff updated here and post scores for you guys the next day. I'm still on the same dosage of meds but i'm starting to get used to it and I'm able to think a little more clearly. I'm on Hydromorphone (synthetic morphine), Tramadol (another less potent pain narcotic), and good old tylonol, Pregabalin (nerve ending pain reliever) and celecoxib (anti-inflammatory). All of this 24/7. When I start feeling less pain we will start reducing the Hydromorphone until I'm off it completely, then do the same with the Tramadol until eventually I'm just on Tylonol. This will likely happen over the next couple of months. Lobban can only wish his meds were as good as these
Sure can't wait to get back in my rig, just hoping that I will still be able to sit in the same seat. If I have to use a controller when I'm first back home then I will give it a try! But that's way down the road, got a lot of other stuff to deal with before that happens.
Take er easy lads, can't wait to shoot the **** with you all again!

Feel free to get online and comment on the race in the voice and style of Murray walker, or Jackie Stewart...

Stiffy, you can suck a bag of Stiffies.:yuck::p:cheers::D:gtpflag:

Couldn't find any other emoji's that fit.

Hydromorphone. ... that shtuff is potent. My father in law was on it for a while and the negative effects were bad halusinations. It varies from person to person, so you might be ok. If you see chickens on the roof then get off it and let them try something else. If you see Mike with a little lamb... dont worry, all is normal

With all the talk about my neighbour Marnie over the last couple of years, (I think only Mike and SGETI have seen her),

I have a question. For the longest while I wanted to know how to get this tab up in HUD. I know about the regular leaderboard at the top left.... but this one at the bottom right that shows the leaderboard by car group/category and drivers positions as such. What is this one called and how do I get it to be shown. I don't recall seeing this one in my HUD options. Perhaps I've missed it I dunno.

Sorry I didn’t make it last night. Just half hour before the race, I start feeling pretty bad. Laid down for an hour and a half. Went to work today and started feeling bad. Hurled my breakfast (cinnamon apple oatmeal, tasty, both times). Not complaining though, no Evel Knievel bike

injuries like some other guy. Speaking of which, I didn’t see Aero in the pics right away, just the cute nurse. I’d be asking for sponge baths every

David, it is called relative times.

Calling all cars. APB on Lobbie, last seen whistling at sheep wearing a man thong. Answers to Lobban, Lobbie and sheep lover. Anyone seeing or have information on the perb please report to headquarters. This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill.

Under all the ole talk I getting worried not seeing or hearing from him for a while. After getting news about Aero accident I cyar take no more heart attack.

Thanks Mike, thanks stiffy

Planning to be there. I hooked up my alcantera wheel a while back. Looking forward to trying it out in some competition!

Hmmm, verrryy eeentersting....
So, our coconut modem from Spectrum crapped out and they replaced it with a newer version. Still using the same router. Previously, I was getting Nat 2 when hard wired and nat 3 with wifi (never paid much attention to the numbers).
Now here is what I am seeing:
Wifi: NAT2 but only 7.5 DL with 25.1 UL
Lan: (oddly) NAT3 34.8 DL but only 1.6 UL

The reason I started hard wiring was because i never had Nat2 on wifi and was told that would help.
So, which should I use for tonight's racing to make sure all my binary cocnuts don't fall out of the tree?
