Guys, this has been done by pretty much every team since the start of formula 1. In the old days if the #1 driver crashed his car they would make the #2 driver give up their car so he could finish the race. In the end it's all about the points because points=money.
And always fiercely criticized. We never liked it and we never will.
Here is one for you.... If Mercedes happens to get 1-2 for the rest of the season, will they let Bottas win them all so as to maximize his chances to end up second in the drivers' championship? Not sure Cry Baby will be happy to concede two or three wins to help his team mate to secure second place in the championship.... They have set the precedent..... now, will that bring more F1 fans by the thousands?
