Guys, this has been done by pretty much every team since the start of formula 1. In the old days if the #1 driver crashed his car they would make the #2 driver give up their car so he could finish the race. In the end it's all about the points because points=money.

Here is one for you.... If Mercedes happens to get 1-2 for the rest of the season, will they let Bottas win them all so as to maximize his chances to end up second in the drivers' championship? Not sure Cry Baby will be happy to concede two or three wins to help his team mate to secure second place in the championship.... They have set the precedent..... now, will that bring more F1 fans by the thousands?

Agreed Rednose......the racing isnt important anymore. Did you see Lewis try to hand Valterri the trophy on the podium? Didnt need to add that slap in the face. I dont give a **** if it's been done before or not. Have some pride and ethics about yourself. Its not like there isnt enough money to go around that sport

I turned the TV off after the race was over. I knew there would have been fakery going on on the podium. This is like American politics - fake it, but don't give a rat's ass about ethics or who gets destroyed.
 
You do know that Hamilton didn’t make the decision nor did he ask for the race result. In fact he pulled Bottas onto the top step and tried to switch trophies with him. This is all on the team management.

A will race the GTC cars......you're welcome.
B will drive the GTB cars, yes we drove the Merc not to long ago, but the Beeemer is available as well as the escort.
This will be another night of choosing one car or all three in your class. It'll also mean the A guys will be starting at the rear on a very tight track with a car that can keep up on this track, it should make for some poop the pants racing.

I ask because, you wrote that we'd be driving the GTC & GTB Cars but we just drove those cars last week.

Also, you chose a Race picture that has the old open wheel cars so maybe you meant this?

hey Pots, it is the same cars but just a switch in the classes.
Two races on the shorter track tonight. No weather other than temperatures and time of day. Race 1 and 3 will be 20 laps...race 2 will be 15 laps. Fuel? Start with what you want but a pit stop will still be necessary just for shots and giggles.

The quietest post-race crowd I've ever heard. Mercedes just sucked the air out of the balloon by making racing clinical. No passion, no romance, just numbers. I don't care how much spin is put on it, how much it's justified, it just takes the enjoyment out of the sport for the fans. I can't remember the last time I heard Formula 1 complaining about how it has too many fans. It just feels like the fans get cheated out of the sport when teams make business decisions. When my son asked me who won, I told him Toto Wolff.
 
My application has been accepted. Woo, now I have to wait for them to send it. Probably another month.
Maybe I’ll be there next monday.

Also I don’t see the fuss around this whole F1 thing, it happened pretty early. Bottas is the number 2 driver, probably would of buggered it up again.

Well as soon as you get back then you will be the Number #2 driver to Lobban. Before the race is over he will be developing blisters on his rear tires.....dont worry about that though.....you just need to let him by so he finishes ahead of you. You ok with that?

They let him by because Hamilton’s tires weren’t doing as well, and would only get worse behind bottas or defending Vettel, it made sense. Obviously he didn’t deserve it... but I once pushed mike across the line, I’d be fine with it lol but would rather of lapped him and said wahhhhh wahhh wahhhh when he didn’t make it.

Judging by all these updates even if I’m back in Canada, it may take a month to download.

No worries mate, the wifi signal isn't as good at this hospital and the Twitch feed just keeps pausing. I get Red's feed ok though.
I won't be long for hitting the pillow tonight, first day of actual rehab and I'm beat. It is a pretty amazing facility. I'm looking forward to the morning, at 9:45 I go to the therapy pool, its about 20 x 30 with lots of interesting looking stuff in it. I have no idea what they are going to do to me, but my PT told me today that I might be to tired for regular PT after, hmmmm....sounds interesting : )

I actually think they would, maybe not all but enough to secure 2nd in the drivers championship. What would look better Mercedes finishing 1st and and 3rd overall or finishing 1st and 2nd in the final standings? I am willing to bet that it happens in the Monster energy series as well, you just don't hear about it because of closed radio frequencies. With the amount of money that is spent in the top tiers of racing it actually makes sense. In the end it is a multi million dollar business.

All Nascar radios are monitored and the fans can listen to any driver that they want
