I knew about it....I choose not to use it because of the glitches of the past.

As long as you have a pit strategy selected before the race starts (also if you change it during the race on your ICM) the crew will be waiting for you anytime you come in. Using the pit request feature doesnt make your pit stop any faster or any different than setting it from the 2 minute ready up screen.

Also........after testing pit stops at different tracks each week (an accurate guess would be testing the pit stop progress about 40-50 times each week) pitting without using the pit stop request can result in on average 2-4 seconds quicker on the in lap and out lap sequence.

Good to know. I have always used the request, and have often been passed by my opponent having a shorter stop.

For real? This I gotta test. Asking the pit crew to be ready is SLOWER? I always have a pit strategy set and use it to save time, so why would the crew be slower?
 
Hey guys, it was a little different coming out of surgery this time, as I got to ask all the questions before and made sure we had a good idea on what anesthetic drug they had used on me before that I had freaked out on. They figured it was Ketamine, which was actually a popular drug awhile back. Apparently I went down “the K hole” as it was known on the street.
But all went well, surgery took 4hrs 11mins, they took out all the stuff from four months ago and installed the Hip Bade Plate. Dr was very pleased how it all went and gave me some weight bearing to start, enough to very lightly add some balance for the first couple of weeks and then start progressing to 50% but no more than that for 6 weeks. Walked 16 feet today but it hurt like a 🤬 🤬 sitting up and lowering leg down.
The following is X-rays of the fix. They cut a channel inside the hip to accept the short bent part at the top. They leave it a bit tight for the last 1/2 in or so and then hammer it in that last bit as the bent end is quite sharp and cuts its way in to seat better. The bone that wouldn’t heal right is under the bend and first and second screw.

Sounds like recovery time will be a bit faster? ..I see they installed a zipper for easy access in case screws need retorque.

So it looks like road A and B cars for this week, just for David....thanks for the suggestion.
We dumped the reverse grid for a reason. Chaos almost always erupted when the slower cars were up front at the start of a race. I think qualy is the only fair way to go. If you want to start up front.........get better Bro.

I've tried to stay away from GT3 cars in the past because almost every public room runs this class. The A guys get the Cayman cause it's a little more twitchy than the 911 and because I said so.

On a browse through of tracks I'm seeing 9 Nurburgring tracks. Nurburgring this, that and the other.
Would you be so kind as to state which of the Nurburgring tracks or track we would be racing on Riddler?

David, you're driving me nutz...... Nurburgring is not the Nordshcliffe, its attached to the Nordschliffe, but is its own track with two layouts, which we will use both of. I'm reluctant to use the Nordschliffe because the racing will get too strung out over the course of the race..... If we could put 30 or 40 cars on the track, I would use it, but with 16 or less, we would all just be running laps.

This is a stronger fix but requires more work and they don’t usually do it during a trauma case as there is too much blood loss and other factors. The pin method, like I had originally, is the standard fix but it’s failure rate is 5%. The Pin Blade Plate that they put in last week screws everything together, so the bones have no choice but to heal and bond together. Plus the bent head goes into the channel they bored out. This method and Plate was developed by a Swiss company way back, like in us Bobs time, and they still haven’t found a better way. It’s just too involved for the regular fix so is only used in cases like mine.

New incision is rivaling the one on the other side! Finally feeling better today, I have been feeling crappy last few days since surgery. At least I should be home by the weekend, I can convalesce there, just waiting for some railings to be put in on Wed.

Thanks Steve. Glad to hear that things are finally starting to come together for you. Hang in there big guy, the worst is behind you.

Was doing a little practice with both cars late last night.. Just to be sure, we're driving the Race versions of these cars right Mikee? Not trying to be an a__ but both cars have the exact descriptions but in Road Going Versions and even the Race Versions have an (Endurance) variation and an (R) variation.

@potvinsuks - I went by the picture, should be the racing R version, alwhough I couldn't see much difference in the endurance version performance numbers.

Thanks bud, that's what I thought as well and just stuck with the R versions to practice.. Although, I think the 911 in the picture is an RSR :).
 
ok Boys and Colts, here's the scoop..
I might have posted the wrong pic for the car, but rest assured we will be driving the race version of each class. The endurance setup is more meant for, well, endurance racing. It should be fun, both cars work well at the Ring.

Race 1......15 laps on the GP
Race 2......20 laps on the shorter version.
Race 3......15 laps on the GP
Fuel to start will be 22 liters for both cars. I'm estimating 45 liters for a full race????
Weather should be clear but we will run into the evening for race 3......... not dark but close. The toughest race will be race 2 at 13:00 hrs in the blazing sun.....tires are gonna take a beating. Race 1 will be a standard race with light cloud at 08:00 am to wake up the hungover BoBs with the sound of screaming Porsches. Ha, been there done that. Sgeti and Aero too.

Here are three of the four layouts around the GP track in Pcars2. The 4th one is Mulenbach (or something like that and is even shorter.)
Doesn't matter which one, two or three layouts we race - If you know the GP track then you only need to learn one or two "shortcut" corners and you are good to go on the other two tracks.

The only challenge will be to use the right tires for the conditions that mikeymikeymototbikey is going to throw at us. Hot, mild or cool track temperatures will influence your choice.

Edit: Just realized there are 2 Short variations of the Nurburgring GP in it's Short form.. The Nurburgring Sprint and the Nurburgrung Sprint Short. The Sprint is 2.25 miles with the semi loop which has turns 2 and 3 from the GP track. The other Sprint Short is 1.90 miles and it does not have turns 2 and 3 from the GP track. Which one are we using Mike?
