@R1600Turbo @a6m5 @Nessy

Maybe these two photos will help you out. (In the flesh, I see it as being more towards the copper color than orange. But one major problem here is the difference of people's monitors.)

Ahhhhhh not that 🤬 dress.

Yes keep that nonsense out of this thread.

What are you guys going on about dresses?
I was replying to this:

Are the rims orange? They look like it, which is a variation. They are supposed to be a copper color, I found some half/half cars, but none full orange.

They look copper to me. Maybe the colours slightly out on your screen.

The error is a chrome orange, and the copper it supposed to be is a very bland copper, slightly gold look. Just did a google search and a lot of the photos look orange, so I guess it depends on the lighting when the photo was taken.

Oh right. In the first pic i'd definitely say copper, but looking at the other two, maybe it is chrome orange.

You guys know this stuff doesn't fascinate me, but for what it's worth, it looks copper.

But it's never looked this good. I'll be looking at mine in a new light for sure. 👍

I was out of town, and since I can't find anything new in my area, I was hoping to find newer releases........ I found different older stuff, and bought some, including Star Wars cars, but only for tracks. Some Star Wars cars actually looked like they'd race well. We'll see.

My GOD DAT DATSUN TRUCK.  Land Cruiser didn't disappoint either. 👍👍

P.S. Last scan of my package was in Japan, and it's been a week. Thanks for asking. :( :D

Great, great model. Easily up there with the Silhouette Bluebird as my favourite TLV so far. I'm sure you'll be impressed with your red one when you get it. 👍

Well, hey at least it isn't in Hawaii (yet). And no problem, looking forward to seeing pics of your order when you find the time it arrives. :D

@Spacegoat - Japan Booster posted detailed pics of the red truck, and it sucks. OK, it did actually look better than expected. However, IMHO, it does not hold a candle to the Yamashin Soy Sauce truck(blue one). I'm telling you right now, that will be in my collection before the "Nissan Service" Bluebird fo sho. :D

Edit: That "Hawaii" story sure stuck. Like the food poisoning I once got from sushi. Decade(or more) later, it still comes up several times a year.

So I've recently come across James Bond Johnny Lightnings. I like James Bond. I like Johnny Lightning.
There were quite a few James Bond series made. One series was sold under the Corgi brand for whatever reason.

Ford Mustang from the third James Bond movie, Goldfinger. The first movie where 007 drives an Aston Martin. No, not the Ford Mustang.

Apok's posts: Now with clickable thumbnails! (But only sometimes)

Lotus Esprit from For Your Eyes Only. Don't remember this movies. Can't go wrong with an Esprit though.

The next ones are branded as Johnny Lightning.

Sunbeam Alpine from the very first Bond movie (from the Eon series anyway). The first two movies had a smaller budget, hence the Sunbeam.

(Yes, dr. No is the bad guy, how did you guess?)

Toyota 2000GT. To date the only time bond has driven a Japanese car.

And last, but not least, the Aston Martin DB5 from Goldeneye. I would have preferred it if this was on the Goldfinger card, but oh well.

I know who's gonna love this. @Cano absolutely looooooooooooves movie tie-ins. :sly:

I really want to open these, but without the cards they're just regular die-cast. I like the theme, so I'll make a rare exception for these.

Passed on this several times, but yesterday it followed me home. (not my photo) You can see in the photo that the tire on the front doesn't quite fit the wheel, mine is the same way. The groove inside the tire that supposed to lock the tire in place isn't deep enough. Might just have to fix it myself and grind down the raised part of the wheel it locks onto.

Yeah looks a little plain in comparison doesn't it? Actually, one thing the red one has that I wish the blue one did is "Datsun" across the tail gate. Great touch.

You still do definitely need that Bluebird but I don't blame you at all. The Datsun truck rocks. 👍

Perfect analogy.! I only like to mention it every now and then because it's rather humorous. :D
