Kyosho Bentley's are out, yet to find a decent looking seller on eBay however.

Use Taka.ohno as a benchmark number (for how high the bids can get). He deliberately charges high to cover his shipping expenses, so if you do some subtraction, you can get a sense of what to expect prices to sit at for each model.

Currently, he has the Karuwaza at $55, the whole box for $185, Turbo Rs at $26, Black SuperSports at $21, White SuperSports at $17.50.

Then there's Japan Booster with $10-11 for the less popular stuff (including the Super Sports). <--- currently the best with busitarumono's $9.99 auctions in second place for best listings.

I'm waiting on what DaBox offers before proceeding.

btw, early christmas... or very late:

Indeed. And under its paint chips you can clearly see the original paint, that must count for something.

As an added bonus you get hints of yellow for no extra cost!

Word. Even on the tires. Pure swag.

On a serious note, what really worries me about the restoration of this thing is taking all the gooey paint off the glass piece. I remember a friend of mine saying that dipping painted clear plastic into... something, the paint would simply wash away. I just don 't remember what the hecking heck it was. I'll have to call him.

Oh, and please remind me of posting it's Lesney brother.

Or.. Very awesome.

What make is that Bora? Oh, and more pics of everything please.

What Bora, the yellow thing? It's a chinese rip-off of Yatming  and it's not even a Bora, it's... I don't remember what it is, it's unmarked.

and yeah pics will come.

Yes that thing. Looks like some kind of Maserati. Yatming rip-off mystery car?.. Sounds like a job for 'Cano the diecast detective'!

Well, aren't we swimming in pesos, eh? Quite a load you have there. I see two Kyosho Ferraris, a fake Bora (as you said), a green Jag E-Type (?) and several TLVs (I see a Fairlady (?) and maybe a Subaru saloon). Also, is that yellow car an Alto? @Johnny1996 will flip if it is just that...

Meanwhile, I actually have cars of my own to share! "Whaa?", you may ask. Indeed, I bought two cars today, and they share a name that has been trending around here recently:

Yes, they're Sikus! Not the vintage type that our estemeed Mexican friend has been sharing as of late, but they are Sikus nonetheless. That must count for something, yes? Their names are self-explanatory, a Haribo-sponsored 911 (You like 911s, don't you @RCKakashi14? Here's one), and a Wiesmann featuring hot-rod flames. I spotted these two when I stared at the interior of a local toy shop and saw an exposition stand with the Siku name. Of course, I remembered the recent posts that mentioned the brand, so I decided to have a closer look. Despite also having Veyrons and Carrera GTs, I bought these two instead. This quirky taste of mine...

So, whaddaya think?

Glad you didn't buy the Bugatti. You can't lower that thing. Nor the SLR McLaren for that matter.

Not that I would lower the car myself, but thanks for the heads up. 👍
Is that a common problem for other Siku models?

Get the Siku SLS if you can. That's one of my favorite Siku castings.
Here's an older picture of mine.

Since taking the picture I've painted the 'inside' of the wheels black so they don't look as bad.

The 300sl is also a beauty.

Not bad indeed, the rims are a bit off-putting, but they can be fixed (as you've done yourself). I take it that the gullwing doors are movable parts. Same goes for the 300SL, that one is also very good-looking. I didn't see either on the shop where I bought my Sikus, but I might check that out if the shop's owner updates the stock (he told me that he was thinking of doing so around Easter).

First went to the hobby shop and got this pikes peak Tacoma.

Then went to 5 Wallgreens, the 2nd one that I went to I found the super AE 86.

The card is bent

Should I open it?
After the super I bought these.

A bent like that can be reshaped. Be grateful it wasn't creased. Get some flat objects to hold it straight and if you can, have it in a place where you can give it a constant source of low-heat.

I had a Kyosho come in, and I put the card on the display sitting behind my computer monitor. It hanging off the edge halfway, and without noticing until some weeks later, the card started drooping. It took on a nice curve without any of my input. What I think happened is that the heat served as a catalyst to making it more malleable and gravity did the rest of the work.

You might be able to fix up the card using a similar technique.

Those two are the only ones I own. The wheels are massive. The wheel arches are massive. The fitment is perfect, and that means there's no room for lowering... perhaps unless you do some nasty things like shortening the axle width and adding wicked camber.

Yup, the doors open on both.

Neat, thanks for clarifying.

Also, I might take those two out of their blisters and do some day-time pictures when time allows. I must say, I really enjoy that Haribo GT3 too much to keep it in the blister.

Great haul, I really like the Tacoma. As for the AE86, I'd say that keeping the bent card is pretty much a matter of desire of having the car out of said card.

Welp, those two sound like a diecast modifier's worst nightmare alright... Especially if you're thinking of a wheel change.

Well, you may be able to do a thing or two with the Bugatti (my photographic memory told me lies):

Bugatti+Veyron+(silver-blue).jpg

This on the other hand, you can't:

Mercedes+SLR+Mclaren+(lime).jpg

You might be able to cut out sections of the back fender, but definitely not the front.

Hot damm, you weren't kidding when you said that the wheels are massive... The fender gap is almost non-existing! And Siku's are stronger built than your average diecast as well, so that doesn't help.

just got a 1/64 Tomica Limited Neo Vintage GTR NISMO from Japan

Only befitting of a real-life GT-R owner to have a scale version of his own car. The TLV Nismo has to be one of the best scale models of 2015, and the year hasn't even ended yet! No wonder it's selling like hot cakes...
