What means 'hate'? :D

Life is too short to hate - I love the 2CV. Iconic car. And what a sleeper. I loved it from the moment I first saw it in a Tin-Tin comic - or what would be termed today a 'Graphic Novel'. Those books were huge. I could hide behind them.
Thomson and Thompson used to drive one. The car. Not the book.

Ah, of course, I find it hard to believe that anyone can hate a 2CV. I mean, just look at it, it's the perfect example of a peasant that you'd love to hang out with, because he's a down-to-earth kind of guy. :D

And even I like it. After all, Portugal was the last place to produce a 2CV, that famed Charleston in Mangualde. So yes, I also have a cool story with the 2CV. Do you also like the cars that were based off the 2CV (i.e. Mehari and such)?

I saw a Mehari last weekend at the same car show i saw that Probe 16. Cool little car, it was all in white (didn't have the roof), would have looked at home on a beach in the Mediterranean.

Now you're digging deep. :)

Here's more for those who like to be in the know about it:

Oh yeah, you also digged deep, because you reminded me of the HY panel van; one of the coolest vans I've ever seen in my life. I do own a scale model of one, which is too big for this thread (if you know what I mean), decked in the colours of a local beer company. A pretty good car to have a scale model of, really.

And Norev also knows that, because they have oh-so many 1/64 models of great French cars...

I love opening doors and hoods.
When they are done right, they can be good. But it's hard to get good door lines on a 1/64 scale car simply because of the scale. (M2's are actually somewhere around 1/60 I think)

I can see where you're coming from. I don't find the door lines too distracting on the 'toy' cars like HW and MBX since they're toys. Their proportions are off and they're very simplified anyway.
There's definitely a point to be made about the 'real' collectibles though. Personally, I think a detailed engine or a better look at the interior is worth it in most cases, but the door lines can be distracting. It's a bit of a trade-off really.

Don't M2s come apart? Meaning that it is somewhat possible to repair the door gaps?

I'm quite looking forward to them when they do ship here. Not exactly sure why.
Well I can eat my words on that:

They were all quite plentiful in a small dump bin except the Subaru, there was only one of them there surprisingly. Oh well, I am just glad I have them all, I never did find that green Mustang from the last set. :indiff:

edit: Whoa! Has the Tomica Tommykaira ZZ made news here before?

Actually looks a lot better than I originally thought it would but still, pass. If it was the ZZII I'd be all over it.

And while we're on mainline Tomica stuff, the Honda Fit being released in next month looks rather good. May or may not have ordered one...

I didn't realise Tomica did Star Wars stuff.

And add that to the pile of "awesome things that Tomica does"... And now for the Tomica Limited Jedi line, with special figures of Luke Skywalker and such.

Jokes aside, those look pretty darn nice. Not the world's biggest Star Wars fan, but even I can admit that Tomica did a good job with those.

Hey, you shouldn't fell bad for buying mainline Tomicas, I'd buy the new Daihatsu Copen in a heartbeat if I could. I really love that car that much...

And the lime green Fit looks sorta cool as well, I wouldn't mind having one either.

Lime does look good but I much prefer the orange one myself. Think that's what I ordered too? Here's the listing. Pretty sure it is the orange one, given that the other listing was sold out and special colours sell out fast. Will have to wait until they get around to putting a picture up to know for sure.

Found this little lovely at the grocery today.

Never have seen a super at a grocery store. Clearly I'm visiting the wrong ones.

One the best looking super's too. Sweet find. 👍

Edit: Oh and I somehow managed to grab one of these on AmiAmi earlier today. My April order is going to expensive now but totally worth it.

Dark Helmet strikes again.
I wonder if Ben saw that - he'd have a heart attack.
What scale are those?
*I'm not sure, but i think the Falcon measures about 7.5 cm's in length, from what iv'e read.*

Aw mang, I only learned of that one recently and missed my chance at it.

Actually I was going to shoot you the link when I saw that it was still available but immediately after I added it to my order it became sold out again. Guess I got the last one? Sorry. I'm sure you'll find a solid deal on one somewhere Andy. 👍

Thanks. I think I saw it somewhere on Jauce from a recent browse. Wasn't aware it was a relatively new one at the time.
I probably shouldn't though as I should already be content with the R91 and R92. Right now, if anything, I should focus my search strictly to the Gallardo triple.a and (whenever its out) RAI 64s.

Are you interested in Kyosho's Porsche's 934 or 935s?

====================

eightlanterns eBay Kyosho finds (as low as $3.38 shipping):

Karuwaza Aston LMP1 $15
BMW 320i White $16
Lancia Fulvia Coupe $17
Mercedes SLS AMG White $18
