Word has it some lucky bloke walked into a Walmart where no scalping employee(s) present hung up a case that was loaded entirely with $upers.

http://lamleydlm.blogspot.ca/2015/05/over-encountered-hot-wheels-72-count.html

A must read. What I want to know is whether Lamley's speculation is true.

Too much presumption is not good for your health.

If anything, I think turning the dislike toward the party that organized putting the case together is a better use of channeling that energy.

Found a J case dump bin today. Picked up three zamacs, an Escort, and a few of the new recolors. I got two Loopsters just to have them. I think they're pretty nifty.
Doing better than me. I tried for an escort and zamacs today. No such doing. Only j case I found I didn't have yet, that I wanted is the Custom falken mustang.

Dude that landspeed racing-inspired 240Z is hot as all the heck. WANT.
Isn't it? I don't even have it in hand and it might be my favorite 240z they've done.

You know what made me mad about this. Like legitimate mad. You found em, take all 72. Oook that kinda crap of you. But look carefully, in the middle of that picture, a single lone regular TH. So the supers weren't enough to make money with, you had to go above and beyond, and be so greedy as to take the regular too. That made me mad. I'd probably take like 15 sth and call it good.

Glad I only collect garbage that nobody else wants now. Tired of not finding anything and having to deal with the secondary market BS.
Garbage such as? I need to find it before you do. Kidding aside, what are you speaking of?

Nah, all the contrary. Someone, maybe the manager, found the employee's stash and simply hung it back.

Been there done that but with much lesser Kool Kombis. Grabbed 5, including two errors, left more than 15 behind.

You are indeed entitled to your opinion as you regularly like to fall back on, but you are also jumping to conclusions which is what I'm trying to get you to notice.

If someone scored big on a fishing trip, no one would complain about how they didn't share it with the local community.

Someone's stash at the end of the day. Someone pushed their luck and consequentially pushed it onto someone else.

The thing that annoys me the most about the 72 $uper find (not that i have any right to get annoyed, as we don't have them in the UK...) Is that the guy actually stashed the rest so he could find a shopping trolley, such was the greed.

As a kind of side note.. That's why i find customising my own 1/64 diecast holds far more value (to me), than any $uper that can be bought. Ever.

Horrible comparison. And jumping to conclusions? Really? The guy bought ALL 72 cars. All of them. Left ZERO for the next guy, zilch, nada. Anyone defending him is no better.

And....

This.
For some reason, i find it hard to believe that.
Right?

Not so much presumption but definitely my opinion for which I am very much entitled to.

Circle Trucker, Mad Propz, Vanster, etc, etc.
Lol. I have passing interest in these. well not the mad props so much. It's cool they do it. Circle trucker is neat. Vanster I like in theory, as its based on the Toyota hiace type vans, but so far I havnt seen a tampo I like.

The recent ones with the HW Racing livery are quite nice.

And I mainly collect the Mad Propz because it reminds me of WWII era planes, and for some reason I find WWII stuff quite interesting.

Lol, that's cheap. Did any of you notice how many bids it has and how many days are left? That thing might hit 2k.

That's because ww2 stuff is interesting. I have the same addiction. I actually had thoughts of buying a few mad props to paint into ww2 paint schemes. Zero and corsair and such

Although these cars have come from the same egg that is rallying, they all possess individual qualities and character

Those are so good! Love em all. Rally cars are just so awesome

Ah, never mind then, it still hasn't hit "ludicrous value" land yet. But Jesus, it can actually be worth 2k dollars? That's even crazier.

Maybe not. I was checking the color guide and orange isn't thaaaaat rare, so I doubt it'll hit 2k.

Also, I want that Greenlight set too.

Fair enough. What colors are worth that money, may I ask out of curiousity?

And I agree, that Greenlight set is quite neat. I'd get that Kombi in a heartbeat if I found one right in front of me.

That is nothing. I was watching Pawn Stars recently and they had the pink Rear Loading Beach Bomb on there and the owner was asking for somewhere over $100,000! Tried to bring it down to $70,000, but he didn't take it.

EDIT: Here is the video if you want to see it.

Lol at you, and at everyone that reference that crap. It was SO obvious that Pascal was just there as an invite and to show off the car. He would never take that thing to a pawn shop.

Aside from that rather obvious fact (Come on, it's an American TV show, 9 times out of 10 there will always be a thing just to add flair and/or drama), it is a pretty crazy for someone to bring a $100,000 scale model car to a pawn shop. Such an investiment won't just go anywhere without some serious consideration...

Still, thanks for sharing that, @Sonygamer455. It makes for an interesting watch, if anything.
