You're telling me. I think they ruin the car most of the time.

nothing a microfiber cant fix ;P ever since 2004 the tampos are put over the clear coat * you can scratch them off*
Im gonna put a picture of of decal removed hw's some are VERY hard to get rid of , thees had to be scratched of with my nail , il post a guide up for you with a car im gonna do in a bit.

Got to say, I agree with Driving Park, the Gremlin looks so much better without the tampos.

I picked up a Grand National at a grocery store last night. Might be a car from last year though.

Yeah, looks like last years blister card design to me.

I don't even recall this one.

Same. 👍

Ah i mest up!diesel duty is the one i mean, its a mix/ crosover of mega duty and symbolic :)
its pretty much mega duty with the symbolic paint scheme and grill and bigger smog towers
I love the little Easter eggs HW makes , such as circle trucker being the truck version of circle tracker, it even had the same livery!

I think I've seen the teal & orange one? Gray/silver one also came up on google with "2011" on it, but I don't recall ever seen that one.

I thought I looked around a lot last year, but no, I don't remember that one. I guess it just didn't register, or maybe it really was rare.

Was just updating my list, thought I would share my latest error:

Went to the local flea market today and got a few cars from the same guy I usally buy from and a few loose ones from someone else. First are the loose ones and they cost me $1 for all of them.

In the back row there are a pair of Matchbox Alfa Carabo's that will be made into one car one day, a Hasbro DC Comics Armoured Car that I think is from Batman, a extremely rough Corgi Juniors Whizzwheels Pininfarina Modulo and a Hotwheels Porsche 928. All the cars in the next few pics I got from the same guy I usally buy off for $25

A 1999 First Editions Shadow Mk IIa, a 2000 Secret Codes Series Screamin Hauler, a 1998 First Editions Ford GT-90 and a 2000 First Editions 65 Corvette

A Mercedes Benz 2.6, a Twinmill II, a BMW 850i that has doors that open and a Thunderstreak

I got sick of waiting for one of these to show up in the stores

Ugh, back. I absolutely overspent money, lol, but came home fully loaded. Didin't sell a damn thing and my Rampage didn't win a freaking thing either. I'll show you pics of the stuff tomorrow.

Ben - I have the BMW 8(movable doors) & the GT-90. I have no recollection of where or how I got it.

Cano - Sorry to hear that your car didn't win, but I bet you had fun!

Yea that car has eluded me, if i cant find a car im pretty sure its rare.. im hardcore when it comes to first editions XD
Gosh i really wanna post some pictures of my room, I started collecting at age 9 , with boxed cars , by age 13 I had over 1000. Now I don't know, to me its like a gallery of cars that I can admire any day any time =D Cars just fascinate me!

Driving Park
I like it better without the tampos. There are so many cars I see that I just wish they would sell without tampos on them.

I agree. Some cars look good with tampos, but the majority of them would look even better without being plastered with tampos all the time. That's why I like the first time models, espically the real world cars. Just basic paint and only if the car has it irl, stripes and/or visible badges.

Thank goodness.

I remembered it was hard to remove the tampos on the cars back in the day. Sometimes, I was even grinding them on rocks and they still won't come off!

I can't wait to see the guide though.

Nice grabs once again Commodoreben.

Looking forward to it. I know lacquer thinner works, but haven't tried it out for myself yet.

Just got back from NY today, didn't buy any cars there, but I did get great REAL car spottings. This is what I bought from New Hampshire. (No tax!) :dopey:

Toys R Us:

2 Tomica GT-Rs!

Walmart: (Rather surprisingly the one we went to in Portsmouth was "hidden" and seemed to be a rather small store. There were quite a few 2010 Hot Wheels! -No R34/R35 GT-Rs...- :( But did pick up some goodies!) :D

Citroen C4 Rally
Silvia S15

No pictures of them, but they also had the previous Mystery Models. Only found the Toyota RSC and Ranchero. No GT500... :indiff: Also, would have bought doubles, but my brother seemed to disapprove of buying doubles telling me it was "pointless." So I gave up on that... :ouch:

As for the eBay thing, didn't win any of the auctions. But what I purchased today made up for it.

Managed to finally get the BMW 2002. Wasn't in the same color I have seen others get, but I actually think the White is more appropriate and in my opinion, looks abit better.

Medigo: Nice GT-R. 👍 Yeah, I sort of agree on purchasing doubles. No offense to those who buy doubles, but only time I'd invest in a second one is if I'm taking one out of package, or if they are some sort of premium, like Back to the Future DeLorean for example.

I kind of wish I bought the Tomica GT-R now. $2.99, or were they on clearance?

I have both, but by far, I prefer the new one(white). 👍

I suppose that's true about the doubles. Not sure why, at first I didn't really think it was worth it. Then I started to get into buying doubles. :odd:

The GT-Rs were still $2.99... Not sure I'd see them back in Maine though, haven't heard much about new stock coming in. Forgot to take a picture of the Evo X/STI double pack my brother bought in NY for me. But I'm sure you guys know what they look like. :P

It's been about a week since I last checked the retail stores here, might just go on a hunt tomorrow. If stores will be open on Memorial Day.

You feel like paying for a package I could send you quite a few of them.

I was gonna say. I thought maybe I could help him out, so I checked the USPS website real quick, and the shipping for small one pound package was over eleven bucks! Sorry goat. :P

Yeah, thanks for the offers.

I just picked up a standard one off E-Bay for $14 all up. (didn't feel like paying $60 for a Super :boggled:)

Did you get that online? I'm considering doing that myself, as the likelihood of finding one in the stores is pretty low.

I got it at the local flea market for $10. The guy I bought it off also had the Team Hotwheels card with the XB Falcon on it, the original yellow release, a Super and the Mystery Car Falcon still in the bag.

OK...... quick exchange rate says that U.S. Dollar is nearly even with the Australian, and I know it doesn't cost you guys $14 for standard Hot Wheels car. Right!?
