For a $5 car, they don't do much. For that price you get a metal base, rubber tires and fancy packaging.

Centimeters. I mixed up conversions before I made that post and I was led to believing that this 19"x19" frame would hold 686 cars, and I was like damn that just solved my storage issues!


In other words, if you had a 50" x 50" frame, you'd hold up to 686 cars. That's probably 80% of my current collection, resulting in a 66-pound frame..

I haven't heard back from my seller. One of the feedbacks pointing out similar incident claims that seller never got back with them. They might bypass neutral and earn a negative feedback for that!

That's what I would do. I just messaged her with those same photos and let her know that if I hadn't planned to open the car anyway that I would have been quite upset. Hotwheels or any other diecast on a card back should NEVER be shipped in a padded envelope.

I nearly dropped my phone when I was booting in for a quick check. That's the machine one needs in their mancave.

Apologies, Phil, but a lot of the painting contracts that came up in December were put off by me - but the clients never give up on me (I shouldn't be grumbling ) As soon as the holidays were over the phone starts ringing off the hook again. So yes, don't find much time to post, though I dip into GTP if I'm stuck waiting somewhere - like in a lineup, or in the morning before I take off. I've neglected a lot of my more creative threads, as well as some of the more hotter discussions - but hopefully I'll find some time this weekend.

I didn't ask this earlier, but why is the Hot Ones BRAT valued so much like the way it is?

Because the release for them in the last batch was a bit limited. This happens every year with some of the releases, take for instance the Road Race cars Canada and Brazil got, but not the US. There was even supposed to be another HW Racing series released after that, which was canceled before release. (had the Toyota 2000GT in it with Shelby livery)

They're showing up in weird places like dollar stores, etc. And not in all places. I still haven't seen any of the last releases anywhere near me.
