I only picked it up (the Cruze) because it's a black bandit. I agree, terribly dull car in real life.

One of my previous neighbours had a black Holden Cruze hahaha

Oh dear, a Holden Cruze? That's kinda terrible, the Holdens I know are the Monaro and all the great V8 muscle cars. A Cruze sorta doesn't fit, in my opinion.

But yeah, a black Cruze, even if it is a special edtion, looks kind of dull. Great WTCC car though.

Yay new page! Next car off the display shelf and into a box is this poor, poooooor made-in-Mexico Hot Wheels Greased Gremlin, the hypermegafamous Dirt Real Riders version of the car, the only version to ever wear these tires from the factory. I traded this thing years ago for a carded HW 34 Ford from the 70s, and it's still the only one in my collection, as the price for these is unfathomable. As it is -and just look at it by golly- this is easy a 20-40 bucks car, mint ones are going for $300-$500, and that's here in the local market, in E-Bay these constantly fetch over a thousand bucks, waaaaay more if carded.

So yeah, it has led a rough life but I'm glad to just have one of these in my collection. I hope to some day find one at a flea market for a buck and change, I know it's possible, this car is the classic case of a patience-game car.

Anyway, this one doesn't look as filthy because some times I'd grab a couple cars and quickly clean them up with my shirt, and this was one of those. But you can still see all the dirt in the interior which was a bitch to clean:

And here it is all clean now, and ready for storage:

Some day I'll have a good one.

The three Gallardo RG models were kind of tempting. But rethinking how I even learned of it, it was the orange one that got me searching, but ended up bidding on a red one. Glad I didn't go get the other two.

Dydo Mini Car Kit no.14
Toyota 1600GT

Filler piece, really. The set has 10 different models, each having two different colour releases.
I decided on 8. Maybe I should've ditched both 1600GTs and left it at 6.

Want this 1600GT in the future? I may leave it out since I don't really want to find the Celica model.

Amass more stuff for Canola to justify the punch-in-the-face shipping expense, and maybe.

I'll come up with a bunch of stuff to sell eventually. I'll PM you about it in a few months.

Yeah, me likey that. In a few months I'll probably have money, because right now I'm broke as glass

The M2 Chase I found the other day, I decided to take some advice given to me on here and list it for $.99 with free shipping. Since the car was $6 + tax, and shipping will be around $6, it needs to sell for at least $13 for me to make any sort of profit. So far it's at $9. If this doesn't sell for at least $13, I'm going to hunt some people down.:p

Thinking about getting some cars off ebay for Christmas. Like the HW ferrari 250 gto, red Lancia stratos, the red and black bugatti, and the maserati Quattroporte.

^ I'd look into working primarily as an online store with a small physical store for storage/local pickup. Small businesses have a tough time getting off the ground without a base number of customers, and that's usually due to the lack of awareness the store even exists. Save up money and find a way to market yourself. Try talking to as many small toy store owners to see how they did it. Try asking Felix from DaBox. Guy's been in business since 2003.

What? and no Tomica cars? That sucks. :grumpy:

The post wasn't meant to be interpreted literally. Our hobby stores usually tailor to RC vehicles and model everything-but-cars. That's just a local thing. Tomicas are local in Asia though. You might need to move to Asia if you want a local Japanese-brand toys.

My dream is to open a retail store that sells pretty much anything diecast related. Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Greenlight, M2, Auto World, Tomica, Kyosho, AutoArt, etc, etc, etc.

Maybe when I win the lottery. :(

Such a niche market though, a store like that probably wouldn't do too well in this country. With everyone's obsession with Camaro's and Mustang's... Oh, and NASCAR. :grumpy:

Nothing new from these photos, except the M4! Didn't even know there were already photos of the prototype. Glad it's Yas Marina blue and not Phoenix yellow.

I am so obsessed over the new generation BMW's. Love the M3, M4, M6, M5, and...maybe even the X5 M and X6 M a little...

Oh, nevermind my previous post. Honestly though, I'm fine without tomicas, though it would nice to be able to purchase them at toy stores here.

Given that they get their business from retailers ordering from them, I can't really picture that happening. They're a distributor after all. If they had warehouse sales every now and then, that'd be totally awesome.
