I kiiiinda do... but mine's a black wheel car, so WAY less rare and valuable, and of course, lacking a certain something :/

Jeez. You had to have something even close, didn't you. Some collection you got there. Can you elaborate about the 'black wheel'?

Then there's this crappy thing

I'd take that Lesney Vauxhall off your hands in a heartbeat. Would three bucks do? You would make a buck profit, right?

Indeed. From the start of the Moko Lesney models up until about 1958 or 59, I'm not sure of the year, the cars had grey metal wheels but they were retired because the company received several complains about the wheels of the cars scratching furniture and surfaces and stuff, so by 1960 all the cars received grey plastic wheels. By the mid 60s most cars migrated to black wheels. In cars issued with both black and gray wheels, the ones with gray wheels are earlier and obviously more valuable than the -in most cases- later and more common black wheel issues. The metal wheel cars are obviously the most sought after of them all as they are the earliest Lesney models.

Ah, yes, I remember reading about that once when reading about Moses Kohnstam. (Did I get that name right?)
They also did 'Superfast' wheels to compete with the war begun by Hot Wheels, right?

I don't know who the heck Moses whatever is  whatchu talkin' bout?

And yes the whole Superfast era came to try to compete with Hot Wheels, because Hot Wheels actually, you know, rolled. It also ushered the era of fantasy Matchbox castings one of their worse times if you ask me.

EDIT: I just connected the dots now. Moko?

I had all those at one time. Many years ago.

I'm finally settling into my new house and deciding the final resting place for my collections for the time being. As I come across cars I have no desire for, I'll decide between eBay, CL and any other outlets to sell. These I found in a box with ... Christmas lights!
