Anyhow, the photo is from a friend of my friend who happened to visit the Shizuoka Hobby Show.

It's ongoing, and it will end until May 17. So if you are in Japan, then visit that event and you'll see the 1:64 scale model of the Nissan 2020 VGT along with other TLV new releases.

Usually, first release TLVN models come in two colors. I not sure what color would they use, though. Silver would be the most popular choice.

My second lot on its way:

Ebbro 1/80.

Even after hearing he gave away several and stuff? Damn you're smug.
Having been on the receiving end of "employees and scalpers taking all the good stuff" before I get there for numerous years, I rightfully am a bit sour over it. And it's one of the top reasons why I've almost completely stopped collecting Hot Wheels, which is a shame that some people have to ruin it for others.

You are too jaded. There is a lot of shenanigans, but a lot of good too in the hobby. Seeing what this guy did, seeing the hundreds and hundreds of packages coming from all over the world for the little boy we featured on the blog, many from Hot Wheels clubs, among many other things, tells me most people are good.

And buying all the Supers you find sure as s*#t doesn't make you bad...

I'd say the second choice of colors would be either black or purple. Silver will be, without a doubt, the main color, since that is the first color that the car was shown with when it was released. Or at least that's what I think.

Nice, nice. Not as cool as the Bluebird (but then again, what does?), but still pretty nice. Is it a 370Z?

Ebbro are flawless. Surpass Minichamps, easily.

Damm, that's high praise, and this is coming from an owner of three Minichamps 1/43 models.

I guess Japan is not short on high-quality scale model car companies. Great, another thing to bother my wallet. Thanks, hsv. :irked:

AmiAmi stuff!
Like I said back when @Spacegoat got his own Lotus, I got one as well. And it's a real beauty.

I also got the Copen for some reason. It's quite adorable.

IMG_6670.jpg

And last, but oh so certainly not least, the TLV Golf II.
Seriously I can see why you guys are so into TLV's. They're worth the premium you pay for them.

EDIT:
Two instant likes as soon as I post? Damn you guys really are on alert for TLV's eh?

Apok, did you know? Screw you for buying all those. :irked:

Joke aside, great haul, I do also find the Copen Robe (yes, that is the new Copen's name) quite adorable myself. It is edgier than its older brother, though, but it's still awesome. The Lotus is a beauty, but that much is obvious. It's the classic "JPS + Lotus = Win" equation, and the Europa ticks all those boxes perfectly. Such a clean car... And the Golf is not half bad either, as one of the (very few) European cars that got the TLV treatment. 👍

With regards to '72 $uper gate' . I personally never said i thought that person was a bad person.. I just thought he was greedy (something that i really struggle to admire in people). It's great that he gave some away, though i doubt very much he was out of pocket on the $72 that he spent, even after giving away some of them. In-fact (pure speculation, i know) but i imagine he probably doubled his money, at the very least.. and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's just something i wouldn't do personally.

BTW

Happy birthday @hsv.

Does anyone know the average price of a TLV in Japan? I assume they are cheaper there, but not sure how much cheaper. The guy I work with is off to Japan on Sunday and I was only going to give him $40 to bring back some cars.
