Hello guys! Been a while since I posted here again, nowadays I only post when I have something interesting to share that you won't see every day, but my collecting habits have not changed over the years.

And this time, I got these! :D

2 Corgi Ferrari 348TB's, new in the package. Been wanting another one of these to do a wheelswap on for years now. So much so, I gutted 2 castings for the wheels long ago and have kept them in storage for years for the sake using them on this. However, these suckers are usually expensive and/or are sold overseas and finding one for an acceptable price has been a problem for me. Fortunately, I recently found a listing for a lot of 2 of these for slightly less than the price of one. When I saw it, I could hardly resist knowing I would finally be getting one for that purpose and even better considering I'd have the added bonus of having another for keeps too, which is how I usually like to do it.

Haven't taken it apart yet, but when I can pull myself away from my Xbox long enough to do it, I'll certainly get it done. I really love collecting Corgi's and I am extremely happy to have more of these things!

Although the item was listed as a Ford Sierra and the box also says this, the car is actually a Mercedes 2.6. I imagine the seller was not aware of this, and I can't say I blame him because this casting has no name on the bottom, but having owned 2 of these in the past, I knew what it was. This thing was pretty cheap to the point I saw little reason not to get it, especially since I like this casting a lot. This is actually the first time in 10 years I have gotten another one, and I'm always happy to add another to my collection! :)

I debated swapping the wheels at first, but upon receiving it, I noticed one of the wheels was stuck. Although I usually prefer to get one for keeps and another to customize, since I need to take it apart to do anything about that rolling problem, I might as well throw on a better set for this one. As much as I love Corgis, most of their wheels are pretty crappy, but that only makes swapping them out even more fun. :D

Having picked up the Matchbox Moving Parts Acura Integra Type S HRC, which was more of a consolation prize for when I couldn't snatch that Hot Wheels Silver Series 935 Lunar New Year edition (Even though I had the opportunity to get it when it was still early, but didn't). They were both at the same price point anyway.

But I think with this and the Charger Daytona I have from last year, it felt like I made the better choice.

It's so strange because for slightly more, I could have gotten a tomica mainline. But with tomica as of lately, they've been releasing cars of varying quality. Some features are missing even though it looks like it would have it (the current Prius), and some that just look plain ugly (GR Corolla). So really, it seems like the Moving Parts series is better-looking and accurate in comparison.

Here's a comparison image I got with a discontinued WRX police car that I got years ago.

I rescued a couple of my toy cars from my Dad's a few months ago, and this Mercedes was one of them.

I also have a Siku Mercedes 500 SE in good condition too.

I thought I had rescued my grey Ford Sierra XR4i, but it must still be at my Dad's.

I haven't received it yet, though. My brother bought it as a gift from Dubai, and I'm so excited. It will be my first Le Mans car.

I went into town with my sister yesterday and went to the only shop in the entire country that sells these models, and I was intent on buying this and the #5 Penske 963 to add to my #6 model. Turned out they were out of stock on the Hertz Jota 963 car in spite of their website saying they had it in stock, and they only had one #5 Penske 963 model left, and the display box was marked so I left it. It was really disappointing, as it's rare that I get the chance to be in the shop itself, and you can bet that if I buy them online, they'd probably send the dodgy one.

Nice! Glad you reclaimed it, it's a pretty cool casting.

I hope you can find it. The Corgi Ford Sierra XR4TI is one of the better Corgis in my opinion, since it has both a trailer hitch and opening doors. It's been a personal favorite of mine for many years now, so much so that I customized one about 10 years ago.

They all came in their own cardboard boxes inside a bag which was quite amusing. Dad looked at them in disbelief, mum was confused and I just laughed. You know the good news though? I can use them for the cars that I sell!

Been meaning to post these for a while, but here are some I got from my brother recently. Since I had bought some Hot Wheels for him lately, he decided to repay me by giving me some he got from an eBay lot. And here's what I got:

Pretty happy to have another mint Sting Rod on hand again, since that one I got from 2023 was for customizing, and I feel kind of bad about it now. Always a pleasure to get more of these ex-Corgi Corvettes again because the hood on the last one I got broke, and the one I got long ago is pretty worn out now, but this one is absolutely pristine! That Jaguar D-Type is one I had in my childhood, which, while not terrible, has seen better days, so it's great to finally have a new one again after so long!

He later got me these since I had mentioned I wanted them:

I have a long-time attachment to the 2001 Mini Cooper, and I've wanted one of those black ones with FTE's for awhile now, and it's great to finally have it! The other one was a nice bonus as well, since it came from the same lot!

Perhaps the most thrilling one for me is the Speedasaurus because I've wanted it for close to 20 years now. I talked about it a long time ago, but when my brother and I were kids, I once saw this one in my local hobby store called Kit Kringle way back in 2007, and I wasn't able to get it that day, but my brother was. However, while he contemplated getting it, he didn't like the tattoo that was on it, so he chose a yellow Lamborghini Murcielago instead. Which was a decision strongly detested because I thought this particular Speed-A-Saurus was just way too cool to leave behind, more so than that Murcielago ever was, and the fact that I never saw it again afterward certainly didn't help.

Truth be told, I still give him a hard time about it to this day (albeit jokingly) because it was one of the better Hot Wheels castings I had seen and one I still think a lot of even now. However, it's more of an inside joke between me and him and not anything serious. With that said, we talk about die-cast a lot these days, and it wasn't too long ago that I talked about it again. Since I expressed interest in it and he still owed me, he went and got one for me. As irony would have it though, it was around this time of the year in 2007 when I first saw it, and it, along with the 2 Mini Coopers, almost didn't end up being mine. At one point, my brother thought they got lost in the mail since the delivery date came and gone, and they still hadn't arrived. So he reached out to the seller, got a refund, and then, go figure, they arrived days later, long after they were supposed to, and then he finally brought them to me shortly after. This was actually the first time I had seen this release of the Speed-A-Saurus since that time in 2007, and not only has it been a long time coming, but it was even better than I remembered and I am so glad to finally have it! :)

Anyways, I just wanted to share my story with ya'll since this casting has meaning to me and I thought it was worth sharing.

Yeah, the quality's pretty good and they're not super expensive for what they are, I've got a few too and I quite like them. The CLK GTR is absolutely incredible for a 20$ish model. Funnily enough I bought the same S13 just last week.

@ScottPuss20 judging by what I can see in the blurry background, you look like you have some pretty cool stuff in your collection.
