Am I the only one that thinks the 24 ours is nothing more then a altered, unlicensed Dome S102?

eBay auction last year netted me 4 or 5 copies of the white nomad, the maroon nomad, green cuda, orange vette and white vette in cases above. Though its hard to see from the pics, but 1 of the 5 cudas I have has slightly larger wheels. :D

One last case tonight:

The scene machines and Hero cars arent in the best of shape, but their rarity trumps condition IMO

crap @ that racing team van, that thing is pretty scarce!! equally, the Superheroes cars are amazing, I only have the Human Torch funny car, and... welll, there is a Hulk Spoiler Sport and Thor Supervan somewhere, but they are in such bad shape they're only good for restoration.

Also, nice grabs on both vintage Matchbox $miglo, they are in great shape judging from the pictures!!!

Stopped by a flea market today and I found a couple of redlines and some other cars. There were a mixture of old and new cars, I just grabbed the ones that were in the best condition. 50 cents each.

The wheels on the van and the vette are in great shape, the other not so much. The vette has also been painted over, but oh well.

Dude, AWESOME!!! and 50 cents each, you really hit a home run with those. The black Supervan with flames in redline trim is very scarce and quite valuable, but of all the cars you grabbed the white Thrill Drivers Torino is for sure the best, not only because it is in very good shape, but because it is also quite rare in that version (tampos). Great GREAT buys all of them.

Also, a friend and I have a plan of trying to make duplicates of certain HW parts that are usually missing, and one of the first we are gonna try is the Duesenberg's top, which is always a miss. If we ever get to it and the parts turn out good enough, I'll send you one so you can have a complete car.

If I were you I'd go back RIGHT NOW to grab whatever else was left there. For 50 cents a pop, such older cars are GREAT restoration candidates. In fact, it surprises me a little that you didn't thought about that while you were purchasing them, as you have already restored and moddified a couple of cars. Go there if you can.

Knew you'd like them. :D It's sort of out of the way for me, but I'm up for going again next weekend. The other cars that I left behind were pretty beat up. Some were bent, engraved, had missing pillars, and just thrashed overall.

Would love a top for the Doozie, BTW!

EDIT: Here are better pics of the condition the Torino's in. Axles are still straight and wheels still spin.

Went to flea market today and scored the following for either 25 or 50 cents a piece.

IMG_0236.jpg

Drove an hour to hit best Antique mall around St. Louis. 80,000SQ of money down the drain fun. One of the booth had HW 70% off! The 30th anniversary cars were $1.50 and the five packs were $1.80. Bought the guy out.

Found seven Ultra Hots I was missing. (BMW has silver UH)
IMG_0250.jpg

Scored both Screamin' wheel Playset Porsches and a cherry 5SP standard
IMG_0251.jpg

Bought about 30 others, but I've already put them into cases. Its fun to buy HW again and share them with folks

Got damn. That thins is good as heck. I don't have the international version of that car, but I do have the even-harder Made in Mexico Thrill Drivers Torino in white, in alsmot as good condition. Let me find it and I'll post pics of it.

wait WHAT? Screw every one in this page, now it turns out everyone is finding cheap old cars at flea markets but me. Dude, 25 and 50 cents a piece! Steal. Also, wtf with the 1.50 anniversary cars. Amazing prices! And some pretty cool cars you got there.

got dammit, I cannot let you all get so ahead, so I'll counter-attack with... my own recent flea market finds!!!

These came from a local market, in a toy and gift store that has yielded good results in the past, and this time was no exception. All of them were less than $1 us with the exception of the WRX and RX7, $1.50 US each because “the hood opens”. The fact that almost all of these were impossible to buy in stores here in Mexico makes me think that the lady I bought them from brought them from the US. See:

The red truck is Hot Wheels and is obviously missing it’s rear stake bed. I initially grabbed it because of the six axles in really good shape, but then in the same goodie bag I found the blue Maisto truck. When I put them together the Maisto stakes fit the HW truck almost perfectly, so now I’ll make the swap. I’ll show you.
IMG_3644.jpg

The King funny car is a very rare piece over here, as the series in which it was released was never sold here. It’s in excellent shape with a couple chips, but still, a great find.
IMG_3661.jpg

IMG_3660.jpg

This Jada Mustang GTR is very, very rare over here, as it was released several years before Jada was sold officially in Mexico. It’s practically new but… the wing is broken. I almost left it there because of that, but in the very same bag there were other cars with wings so I found a replacvement right there in the form of this Hot Wheels Out-a-line, which is a toon, no-license version of a R34 GTR. The wing is bigger and was the only one that fit the Jada Mustang, itself a lot bigger than a regular HW car. I’ll have to cut the wing in pieces to make it work, but saving the Mustang is worth it.

IMG_3649.jpg

This Mustang II is a Motor Max Cherry, from a series that also included a Vega, Monza, Pinto, Gremlin, Maverick and other compacts from that era. The thing is awesomely detailed with rubber tires and Minilite-like wheels and is very rare here because they were never sold in here officially.
IMG_3663.jpg

Both ricers are from Muscle Machines, and were also never sold here. They are amazingly well made with lots of separated pieces. Even tough riced up cars are not my style at all, their quality made me keep them. These two cost me $1.50 US each. Wonder how much they were worth when new.

The Maxda RX7 has a detailed Rotary engine with a separate-piece intercooler, loads of sponsors, a complete sound system, and of course, opening hood.
IMG_3653.jpg

IMG_3654.jpg

The WRX has got it’s turbo poking trough the hood (I really liked that detail), full bodykit and two-tone wheels. The interior is also excellently detailed. It’s missing it’s exhaust tip, but I’m already looking for a replacement.

Finally, Maisto’s Porsche 550 Spyder, an excelent casting that’s utterly ruined by the terrible wheels it comes with. This is almost brand new.
IMG_3665.jpg

The idea with this car is to swap its wheels for the ones in this Matchbox Holden, which also came from the same place but for some reason, it didn’t appear in the group picture. The reasoning behind this is that the 550 will look awesome with the flat steelies in the Holden, while the Holden could use other sets of wheels that maybe wouldn’t fit the Spyder. The Panel will be rid of the horrid tampos but will keep its stock color.

M-POWER_FTW--Thats one of the only blackwalls I dont have :(

Judging by your recent finds and the rest of your collection, soon you'll probably stumble across this one as well. :)

BTW, UH's are one my favorite wheels also. It's a tie between WSP's and UH's for me.

Lovely Porsche. I actually kind of like the wheels it came with.

From left: Honda Civic Type R '08 and Audi R8 V8 (lol, that isn't the V10 version).

I have that too, but I messed it up with a permanent marker way back when I was a kid. :ouch: The wheels aren't really crappy for me though.

The wheels themselves aren't that bad, but on that Porsche they look hideously out of place.

A booth at one of my local antique malls has one, but they want $18-20 if I recall. I frequent too many swap meets and markets not to find one for $5 or less which is what I'm willing to spend.

My ALL TIME FAVS are Speed Fleet ultra hots and standard hot ones (citation,omni,escort...etc)

The one car I didnt buy and am now regretting was the 30th Ann. replica 1996 first edition VW Drag Bus. The asking was $50, but with the 70% off sale, it would have been $15. :banghead:

I need to check the antique shops here in NYC. They might have something. Will probably call each to see if they have any Hot Wheels.

The scene machine racing team van was luck. I purchased a 48 car case on eBay and the picture showed the just the top two trays. They were filled with cars from the 80s, so I took a chance. When I received it, I found in the bottom trays the Circus Cats baja breaker, Racing team Van and the Captain america Motorhome. per car, I paid less than $1/car with the case.

@Apokalipse POST 1764 - I'll just send PMs to folks and save the thread for pics. 👍

@Cano POST 1765 - Ooops...Omni is just blackwall. What was I thinking. It is however one of my favorite cars.

diabolicwyvern we all appreciate your pictures and all, but please edit your posts instead as double posts are frowned upon here. Sure if nobody posted in a day or so and yours is the last post it's okay, but this is a case of only about 20 minutes.

Omni with hot ones? That exists? pic proof!

Also, the drag bus was a good buy. A pity you didin't grab it.

Here are my Hot Wheels. I don't collect them, but I have somehow acquired the first three from the left and the first two from the right ages ago and got the four middle (Enzo, DeLorean, Gallardo and P4) in Singapore Airport.

Below are my other cars. The Mini is Siku and the F-150 and the unknown car are RealToy. Can anyone identify the one on the right? I'm not a master at cars, so any help would be appreciated.

That's a Peugeot 206. Looks like a rally version of some sort without any rally livery.

It is indeed a Realtoy Peugeot 206 rally car with no livery, they also have a Focus RSR in blue without livery. Those things are very very well done and are awesome parts cars. You see those red seats? They are separate pieces and are very well detailed. The interiors are also great. They aren’t easy to find, but I’ve managed to get ahold of both.
