Did you want me to keep an eye out for them for you? I could send them to you at the cost price of the cars + postage if you like and if I can find them. They cost me $4 Australian each from a toy shop if you are interested.

That's fine, now that I'm back home I have access to very good stores including a Toys-R-Us so I should be able to find them sooner or later, unless they're non-USDM. Thanks for the offer though. 👍

Is $5 good value for a DW car? Guy at flea who has the 100% hotwheels and hall of fame cars for $2-3 has the Weldons for $5? IDK....still seems allot to pay...

I played around with the lighting a bit to reduce the amount of grain, which I have found success for. I do however now need to improve the post processing to reduce the harsh white highlights.

Yes it's a glossy black backdrop. Get at me, white-backdrop-users.

Don't worry, I'm working on it. I'm still working with my 4 tiny flashlights, because the one desk lamp I deliberately bought for taking photos is actually pretty ugly because of the warm light bulb. I didn't think it would be so bad, but I learned my lesson. The only other cool white light source I have is the same big fat fluorescent tube I've been using on my white backdrop photos. I blocked up about 80% of the tube with black cardstock and covered the remaining bit with white tissue paper to soften the light, but even that floods the roof with light if I put it anywhere closer than it already is.

Besides, you know what cars they are anyway.

Anyway, just bought another Miata off eBay. Another of the G-Force track cars, but this one is green. Still sealed in it's plastic baggy, but I'm going to free it of that plastic (*gasp*) and put it in one of my new loose protecto paks.

Can't. It's an Ikea lamp with their specialized sizes... It's fine. I think I made something pretty damn nice just now. Let me take another 2 photos of the other Maistos I got off work.

Still looks crummy on darker cars. Perhaps I'll pull out the other flashlight I have next time.

Precisely, whereas the 100% Hot Wheels are multipiece, exact-scale, hyper-detailed, working-feature adult collectibles, and many times way WAY more limited than the Weldon thing, which is nothing mroe than a blackmarket refugee really. And they're practically giving the 100% cars away at $2. I sincerely can't fathom it.

100% for two, three bucks? Yeah, I still can't find Wheldon, but I honestly don't understand the level of demand, or people paying upwards of $20 for them on eBay.

I hope to find Wheldon in the store someday for a dollar, but I'd hesitate to pay five bucks. I'd happily pay that for 100% cars.

Not just any cricket player, a6. It was designed by Shane Warne , one of the greatest cricket players of all time.

Thanks for the info on the Spin King, guys. I knew it involved a special player, and I think the picture I saw of it is the one that goat posted. When I saw the American version at Walmart, the car looked familiar to me, and then I remembered the "Spin King" name. I just figured that it was a variant of a older car, but looks like it was just the packaging that's different, as the cars look the same in both pics. Again, thanks for the info. 👍

Edit: That Micro NASCAR, I've been running into similar sized cars on eBay whenever I search for Tomica. They are much cheaper than the standard cars as you expect.

It is, indeed, a chinese rip-off of a Tomica Lancia Stratos Turbo:

And fairly well acieved, I might say.

In other news, I have confirmed that I'll have a sale space at the hot Wheels Mexico Convention. I'll be bringing as much as I can support with the money I have now to sell in the convention.

a6m5 - can't remember how long I had that Stratos - forever? I have every Stratos I can buy in GT5 - also got a 0/0/0 off a #1000 ticket. That almost made the game for me. Yup. OCD about the Stratos, and Lancias in general, though not too enamoured of their latest cars. FIAT did them in.

I can relate on feeling attachment to a toy you've owned since you were a kid. Playart Miura has same effect on me! What is this about 0/0/0 in GT5? I barely played that game, and have no idea what that means.
I can't believe I remembered that Lancia from when I was so young. Why is it that I can remember the Lancia from when I was a toddler, but I can't remember the first girl I had a crush on? I think I was like four or something, and my mom used to tell me that she was the ugliest girl in the neighborhood. Maybe it's for the best.

I like the DUI-edition delivery van. I think I've seen about half of those cars before, but not the others. Really digging the TH Ranchero. Buick GNX GSX is a sure buy for me.

Edit: Anybody else getting sick of the police & fire themed cars? I thought they were kind of cool at first, but now it's just a pain in the ass for me. Like in this vid, very cool Corvette, then you guessed it, it's police themed.
