2013 looks like a good year for collectors. I'm personally stoked for the Datsun because now I can finally get a hold on these castings.

They're the wheels the spokes most similar to these:

...that you find on a lot of modified golfs.


That said, they look better than OH5s and MC5s any day.

Got my Matchbox Supra and my plastic wing 350Z. Both were sent in padded envelopes, both were squished. Would not be happy if I was going to keep them carded...

Matchbox Supra has a metal base too. 👍

Ah okay. I can see what you mean, but I'm still not particularly fond of the way the Golf looks with them.

It'll probably end up growing on me though.

padded envelopes

I can't bring myself to do it, but I sort of want to give the seller I bought the Final Run 928 from a neutral feedback. Packaging on that was also damaged.

I left him positive feeback, but I messaged him and made it clear that if I had intended to keep the car in it's package I would have been upset. He said he just fives the items to someone at the post office who then packages them. Said he would let them know. I just don't think diecast of this sort should be sent in padded envelopes...

Yeah, if they want collector money, they shouldn't just throw them in a envelope.

I guess we have to let this be lesson to us. If you are concerned about the packaging, it would be a good idea to communicate with the seller before they actually ship it.

I also had a Tomica Skyline race car back when that was damaged in a envelope. Box was all smashed.

So after doing some measurements, it turns out that my giant tote, after filled up with trays, will contain 324 cars.

The problem here is that I have over 1000 cars now. That means, I'm going to need another tote-possibly two, and I need to get rid of a LOT of castings soon.

I might just scrap a lot of cars and sell a pile of castings without wheels... and maybe I can sell those with a bunch of crap wheels I don't want for a dirt cheap starting bid.

Dang!!! Nice cars. I like the 330 P4 the most. Real jelly.

While getting some cards for my girlfriend's family at Dollar General today, I got a really nice red Ferrari FF; and four MBXs: a champagne Bentley Continental, a white ZR-1 and two 911 GT3 with the chrome wheel variation instead of the orange ones.

I also won $100 on a lottery ticket yesterday, so eBay here I come!

I've seen that mat black Aventador and the VW Golf MkV at Walmart once. But the DBS and the Gallado, never. But still need them.
