I think it's newer collectors like myself who didn't know about this case. As I noted, this "thread organizer" for sewing used to be sold as Hot Wheels case. All that legwork, and they had this case available the whole time, with a disguise.

Funny thing is, My dad (or was it my Mom?) bought these at Wal-Mart when they sold as Sewing cases, mainly because I had my cars all over the place at the time as a child.

See, that Ferrari one, even I can spot that..... at least in the photo(in stores, I'd never notice). Torino one was real subtle. No, I'm not ashamed that my old person eyes couldn't spot that particular error!

Edit: Do you think Walmart have the new Boulevards yet? I might go now. I'm just sitting here, can't sleep.

I don't think it would be worth the hassle to be honest. Wouldn't complete case carry too many crap cars?

Besides, I don't have to tell you that Boulevard cars easy picking for people who look. Even I've had countless opportunity at over 90% of the cars.

Negative around here. Target is clearancing out what they have left which is old stuff like the Mustang concept car. Walmart has had pegs for Hot Ones and Boulevard for months but I haven't seen a single car. No other stores around me carry them.

I've observed the same on the Hot Ones. It's as though they are no longer available. Weird. I was really looking forward to the Rabbit.

Boulevard, really, only one I missed was that 1920's looking sedan thing. Camaro, I never got it, but I had a chance to. I saw the line at Walmart checkout, left without buying it.

These collectors I ran into tonight was telling me the same thing. I don't even see regular Hot Wheels in Dollar Tree around my area. I will check next time I'm there though.

God, I was debating if I should hit out-of-area Walmart tonight, but I doubt they'll have any new Boulevard or Hot Ones. Out of the mainline release, I think I pretty much got everything I was looking for.

Yeah someone on HWC just posted the Mix F release list, and the only Japanese casting on it is the Blue re-paint of the WRX STI. Safe to say I may save some money on mainlines for a while.

Oh don't get me started on playsets guys. I had so many memories of my HW racetracks and city sets. My favorite tracks were:

Criss Cross Crash set (early 90s set with yellow launcher and black tracks.)

Tornado Twister

That track with a spider as your boss (it was my older niece's track. My brother was going to give it to me, but I was scared of ancharids.)

But my favs were the city tracks:

The City Center ( 4th floor had a hospital, 3rd a police station, 2nd gas station and the 1st floor a parking garage.) Loved that playset to bits.

A car wash

The nASCAR playset ( it wasn't a typical NASCAR track, but it had a race feel to it and had a HW NASCAR.)

A HW National Bank

Fast Food joint ( I think it was McDonalds, don't remember.)

A gas station

There was quite a few more that I had, but these were my favorites in the 90's and 2000s that were from Hot Wheels. I had a MB gas station set and was planning on constructing a MB city, but I invested my money to the City of Hot Wheels. And I was the mayor even though I had a floor mat with a suburb or small town community, that was for the nice side of town. And my blocks with slumped buildings made up the ghetto.

My long awaited Tomica Limited Land Cruiser got here!

It is so old school. Details are nice. 👍

Still waiting for the CMS WRX rally car. Also, I ordered my first Kyosho yesterday. It was my second choice, but TWO sellers I tried haggling won't dance, so I settled for a cheapie. I'll post a pic once it's here.

Here's a fold-up Hot Wheels set I got from my cousin a few years ago. He had owned it for a while along with some other sets and then decided he didn't want them anymore, he knew how I loved hot wheels, so he gave it to me! It's missing a few accessories but all the necessary parts are still intact.

Another one of those Japan exclusive R32 Skylines popped up on eBay with a low starting bid. It's already well past $30 so I gave up on it. Curious to see if it will surpass the $56 sale of the last one. The sellers trying to get $160 out of them might be hanging on to them for a while.

I ended up going last night(or this morning? lol). Two of the three Walmart had fresh(er) dump bins. Unfortunately, one of them was put through hell. I didn't even bother looking in much, because there wasn't anything I didn't have left in there. The other one, looked like just one person went through it. Cars were still inside the cases(small boxes), and those cases were still sitting in the dump bin. There was nothing good left in there though.

I did find another Boulevard Vector I've been wanting(to pop one open), also picked up another cool M2 I'll post later, but that's about it.

You should try that link I posted first, take a look at the product information. In my area, they don't stock them, and the website actually indicated that. I had to have Walmart.com ship them to a store near me(no shipping). I hope Walmart website have the same ability in Canada. Eh. Hoser.

Thanks man. 👍 WRX should be interesting, because I'm still somewhat skeptical on their quality. Company is called CMS, and Kakashi thought they were OK. I'll find out soon, hopefully!

I just don't see the appeal. If I could have one, if it wasn't for the collector value, I'd rather have you make me one, and it would look cooler. Actually, did they ever do R32 with normal paint job? It seems like every one I've seen has really over-the-top tampo job on them.
