I had a bug up my butt wondering what song charted #1 on the day I was born and happened upon this site while trying to find out. So...what's yours? Here's mine:

UK No. 1 March 1982 - Tight Fit - The Lion Sleeps Tonight

US No. 1 March 1982 - J. Geils Band - Centerfold

Australia No. 1 March 1982 - Soft Cell - Tainted Love

@Robin. I'll bring it back in line.

I get a lot of mixed results with this. My parents have always told me it was this:

(that site also said it was this)

But Wikipedia tells me it's this:

So I was born on October 5, 1998.

US Chart:

Not complaining, I love me some '90s R&B.

UK Chart:

Typical '90s pop for you.

Alternative Rock Hits:

That actually wasn't bad.

Dance Hits:

It's not Daft Punk. I am disappoint. :(

UK: 3 a.m. Eternal - The KLF ft. The Children of The Revolution

US: Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) - C+C Music Factory featuring Freedom Williams

Could've been worse.

Since I'm kinda old by GTP standards I remember that song. There was a lot of controversy because J-Lo dropped the N word in the remix version.

I feel guilty because all yours are awful and mine's great.

Lots of colours?
Hair flowing majestically in the wind?
Hard to follow thematically?
A lot of shouting but no real subject?
Somewhat disorienting and bordering on unpleasant?

Yup, definitely mine.

US Charts: Janet Jackson - Doesn't Really Mater

UK Charts: A1 - Take On Me

Uh huh...

Only one I heard of is Alternative which was Oasis-Wonderwall.

Mariah Carey-One Sweet Day was US #1 but I've never heard it.
