So I decided to tune in to F1's Live Timing about 5 laps ago and learned that this was going to be the closest championship fight I've ever seen... :eek:

I'm shocked. That's absolutely incredible. But I can only see the numbers... did something happen to Glock, like his tires giving out or something (it seemed like he was on dries)? He dropped like 20 seconds in that last lap.

Well, good fight to Massa and Hamilton, who both looked to play cleanly, at least from the numbers I was watching. Here's to hoping that the FIA doesn't mess in things. :ouch:

What a stupid finish. Do Toyota, or Glock, have any ties to McLaren or Hamilton? He just gave up for no reason? I saw nothing wrong with his car or traction.

Its called rain. He didn't stop for intermediate tires. Everyone else did.
 
I went from dissapointment, to being ecstatic to being absolutely gutted within 3 minutes. Though it did make it one of the most exciting endings to a f1 season I've ever seen.
 
Damn. Glock, do me a favor get punch yourself in the nuts. Please.

Can we stop the conspiracy theories against Glock? It was raining, track was wet, and he was on slicks. The others were on wets.
 
Won on the last corner. I've been watching Formula 1 for 14 years and I've never seen anything like that. Truly amazing :)

I'm sorry, but I completely lost any respect for Glock. He was either unskilled enough to actually lose control and have to slow down by 18 seconds in the last sector (Alonso was on dry tyres too, wasn't he?), or he just did worse and did this on purpose.

Well done, Lewis, but it will remain Massa's year in my books. Nobody else's, probably, but that slowdown was extreme even for a teammate, nevermind another team.
 
I feel close to tears myself, god knows how Massa is feeling.

Indeed 👍 What an amazing finish - and thankfully, atleast this time it was actually decided on the track.

Huge respect to Massa - although the crowd are understandably very disappointed, I think they're lack of respect for the new World Champion is pretty disgusting. Hopefully they will take a leaf out of Massa's book and maintain their dignity...

Respect to Alonso and Vettel too - they said they would race and not take into account the "circumstances" and they were good for their word... Vettel showed himself as a real racer, and didn't shirk from dealing what looked like a knock-out blow to Hamilton... but that's the way the sport should be, IMO. Hamilton was great, too, but I won't grudge him a wee bit of luck...

It didn't seem like he was that slow over the last few laps, but maybe something gave out. I'm thinking he was honestly pushing, though. Trulli was having the same problems in the final moments.

In any case, I'll summarize it like I did on my Twitter - congrats to Hamilton, gutted for Massa, and I wish for Glock's safety. :scared:

But he GAVE the championship to Hamilton ON THE LAST CORNER! IT'S NOT FAIR! What about Vettel? He passed Hamilton (my happiest moment of the year) but Hamilton still got the championship! I can't believe Toyota decided everything.
 
Why couldn't glock hold it together for one more turn?

Alonso stopped for wets too. The first 5 all stopped for wets.
 
Why is alonso crying harder than massa?

Yes on live timing both Toyota's did a 1:44 on the last lap. Dry tyres on a wet track losing too much temperature maybe?

Alonso did stop for intermediates by the way
