The situation just seems too odd to put it all on the driver, if he was going to outbrake Sutil in that corner he surely would have been on a different line. Now it looks like the brakes acted up or that he hit some unexpected water splash, nobody in their right minds leaves the braking that much too late no matter how hard they are trying - especially when driving on the same line as the driver in front. He had no chance, my bet is a small brake failure at the very wrong time or some else minor cause that caused a big result. The weird thing is that the car didn't decelerate too well and began swerving instantly as he braked, unusual behaviour on cars that are set up to understeer safely in hard brakings.

Kimi such an ass....... yeah I know its sport but jesus its not like you haven't won a race and arnt with a team that runs on a shoe string budget.... :grumpy:

I thought it was brilliant that Force India and Sutil was going to get 4th.... they would have got some much needed cash and media exposure and given the whole team a boost.... but no Kimi was so eager to pass him that he overcooked it...

If only Sutil had seen it coming and accelerated into the straightaway but alas. When he came into the pit and the car died the pit crew were furious and then Sutil went off and cried...

That may well have been their only chance of scoring big points, every other track is too fast for them and it may not be a rainy Monaco for a long long time..

Real disappointment and as Martin Brundle put it..... very very cruel...

I hope Sutil gives him a beating.. seriously!

Go Heidfeld Go!

That was entertaining, Hamilton's middle stint was mega, up to 3 seconds on Massa, A LAP. Kubica put in a nice performance that I'm really starting expect alot from him, plus he's only 6 points off Hamilton in the Championship, consistancey pays. 👍

That seemed like a pretty huge accident for Rosberg, glad to hear he is ok but could have been alot worse. DC needs a result, badly, especially when Webber keeps on bringing in these 4th or 5th place finishes.

Finally, Barrichello scored his first points since 2006, good on him. :)

He did the same thing that DC did in qualifying, but he kept it under control better and hit Sutil instead of the barriers.

The stewards will never give him justice so, someday when Sutil is being lapped by Kimi he should "accidentally" mess up his braking!

Although I dont think Kimi could do much, it was the same thing that happened DC but Kimi kept it out of the barrier, sadly. Still Sutil is now recognised as a very skillful driver. (Today made up for the time he drove off with the fuel pipe)

Sutil talked to Kai Ebel in the end of race. He said that he was very unlucky but also lucky in the race a lot.He said also this is motorsport and these things can happend. he stated that kimi should have been more careful because of cold tyres/brakes.

Sutil is a young talent but he is also calm and knows what he is doing. If he will be angry every incident like that he simply cant continue his career. We know what happend to that kind of drivers

Great race and win for Lewis especially with the puncture and the way it all went in his favour after it 👍

Damn shame for Sutil :( gotta be the worst bit of luck he has ever had, he drove brilliantly and deserved the 4th place, but it seems it was not to be .. Still top marks for a brilliant effort and so close to the finish

Kimi messed up as everyone does in motor racing now and again! but it is nothing to taint his career with as it was obviously accidental and just the way it was meant to pan out .. he was damn lucky to get back on the track and Sutil left sobbing in the pits, poor guy must be devastated. :nervous:

It was good to see Vetel actually finish a race also 👍

I think in that situation you cant complain to the stewards, it was just unluckily that Kimi slipped there, it could have been a mclaren infront of him its just that it was an underdog which makes it hurt even more. Its was like Kimi was over eager just because it was a Force India infront of him.

Even if they complained its not like they will get that 4th back..

I would watch it Kimi if your trying to pass him in the next race.... lapping or not! :sly:

He seemed slightly more upset and less calm when talking to ITV's Louise Goodman after the race, it was like he was trying to stop sobbing. He was saying it was the best race of his carrier and that he may not have this opportunity again, it was a sad day.

I hoping that one day he will have another opportunity to move this far up the grid, maybe this will make him stronger.

Mike Gascogne said that they had complained to the Stewards, but as you said there is nothing they can do or nothing they should do really.

i stand with my view on that when you gotta push, things will happen. That was a downhill section out of the tunnel so there might have been a damp spot there. If we got to hear what kimi thought, im sure he would have been upset about it as well. He's NOT an ass for a accident that happened from a racing incident. So too bad, it happens.

I feel for Sutil just as much as everybody else but Kimi didn't make a blatant move into him. It's not like he was trying to pass through Grand hotel hairpin.

Good race. Had alot to keep an eye on. Rain always makes the race good. Monaco 1996, Europe 1999 and many more. Many people kept their head which was nice to see and it was good to see the cars snake as they came out of a corner.

Poor Sutil. Kimi did well not to slide clean into the back of him but he just couldnt recover it. Alonso's silly move on Nick nearly caused a jam. A half hearted move which the rest of the field did well not to plough into the back of them.

I said that! :grumpy:

Kubica just signed his life F1 career here today, what a drive, not a single mistake from a still inexperienced driver 👍

That said, Heidfeld drove like crap, no excuses for that, he's driving a freaking BMW! I'm telling you Bee, that beard's causing too much drag! :p No wait...It's Monaco...ouch! burn!

Sutil really showed what he's got here, I feel so sorry for him, he was my man of the race. He really showed his skill in the wets with such an ass of a car, therefore --> Sutil = Win :dopey:

But no really, Kimi couldn't do anything about it, he jut lost controle over his car, nothing we can do about that. I'm pretty sure Sutil will get his chances later in his career, you possibly cannot ignore his drive today for the future :)

Toyota: What the hell was this? Such a good start! Man, Glock really sucked, he should drift instead in Japan :p

And once again, Kovalainen has no luck, damnit!

DAMNIT! My alarm clock didn't wake me up. Now im lost with what you guys are talking about.

I saw it on the replay and it did really look like he was drifting that Toyota round the corner :dopey:... it was like win win win... oops FAIL! :sly: There was a lot of drifting going on today and a lot of money spent on front wings! :scared:

You know, if only Niko hadnt totaled the williams the safety car wouldn't have come out then the Kimi incident wouldnt have happened or may have not effected Sutil... oh and did anyone hear the engine on that SL.... it was amazing.

Towards the end of the race, I was thinking “Gee, it would be great if Kimi and Sutil collided” (If favour of Webber)… I wasn’t actually expecting it to happen one lap later!
I feel very sorry for Sutil and Force India now, and I hate Kimi even more for destroying such a great race for the team.

Apart from that, I’m happy with the results. Webber 4th, Hamilton snatching back the championship, and Kimi crashing. Great race 👍

Kimi will have lost a lot of fans and grown a lot of enemies, and vise-versa for Adrian.

i cant wait for the GIF. to pop up on the internets :dopey:

I know! thats exactly what I was thinking of...:sly:

You jinxed it! :scared: BURN HIM!

No one likes it when a hot shot totals a rookie.. (well you know what I mean)...

Guys with the attitude like this are what makes me sick. One mistake and he becomes an ass? Oh right, because it's not possible that Sutil might have braked a fraction of a second early and forced Räikkönen to make a panic braking to try and avoid the collision. Come to think of it, if one mistake makes someone an ass there's nobody on this planet who doesn't suck. Feel free to disagree but there's someone who has an attitude problem here and it isn't me.

This may seem blunt but you are epic incorrect. It was Kimi's fault through and through.

Fabulous driving by Massa! Anyone but Hamilton for the win. Massa has become his own man... and I like it. I feel badly for Fernando Alonso. He fights the good fight with a car that is a pittance of what he needs, no wonder Piquet struggles. Heidfeld however, has no such excuse. I agree, one of the better qualifying sessions this season. Enjoy the Grand Prix, gentlemen.

Don't roll your eyes at me, sweetness! I suppose you like the 'choker'... He won't win the WDC this year either. Or be the youngest ever. He should win while he can, if he can, before Alonso finds a car. He's rid of Alonso and has got worse. Aight?

I really enjoyed Lewis Hamiltons driving ability today.👍

Fair play to Force India for complaining, might as well. Like Gascoyne said, if that was vice versa Sutil would be facing some form of punishment, simple as because that's the way it goes.

Thats true, Ferrari would have definitely complained if it had been the other way round..

Wow, that was the best Grand Prix I've watched for 10 years! At least as far as I can remember. Lots of action and most of it great driving rather than lots of crashes. Good to see a good battle for the championship occuring too.

Really feel for the Force India team and Adrian Sutil, I'll certainly be watching them a bit more now. I dont think the teams have been this close to each other in a very long time, I mean there has always been one or two teams who have been at the bottom all the time and one or two who have always been at the top, but now we have teams going up and down everywhere! Red Bull and Renault under-performing, Force India punching high.....great stuff.

Although they are different circumstances, this GP reminds me of the Hungarian 1997 GP where Damon Hill flew with the crappy Arrows. Pity it didnt end the same way.

So that's fact? Interesting.
