Apart from moving over on Button in the braking zone, and nearly killing Nakajima, he's doing fine...

Oh... dear... Kobayashi was doing so well too, but with Button's complaints and now this incident, he could be in serious trouble already. Very dangerous!!

I quite like Kobayashi. He's been very racey so far and adapted to these cars quite well for his 4/5th time in the car.

In 2014, I'll still be talking about Kobayashi's drive today. OK, Webber wins for only the 2nd time in his long career, Rubens misses out on the biggest win of his life, Jenson Button finished 5th after starting 14th (didn't he get some kind of consolation prize though?), but it pales into insignificance compared to Kobayashi's drive today (OK, so he caused an accident too, but we'll let that slide). Today was all about Kobayashi. Kobayashi.

Unbelievable how lucky Button was. Not trying to take his merit away, but from Webber's defending on Raikkonen you finally get 4 cars out of Button's way. You get the safety car for a few laps giving his heavier car an advantage. Then you have Barrichello joining the race among several other cars and losing a lot of time, which wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the safety car. And finally you have Barrichello's puncture at the end. Frustrating stuff for Rubens, but congrats to Button.

And for the second consecutive year, a British driver wins the championship over a Brazilian driver in Brazil.

I thought Kobyashi had solid drive for a rookie, even despite there being 7 retirements in the race which boosted the looks of his results. Also the Toyota seemed to work pretty well around here. I will say he made Fisichella look like the rookie as he passed him into T1

IMO Lewis by far had the drive of the day, coming from 18th to 3rd. Killing his teammate...once again

I don't really know what to think at the moment. I'm sad that the battle didn't go to Abu Dhabi, and that Vettel can no longer win it, but I'm still happy for Button, regardless of my hatred for him. Today he was brilliant, but Vettel was brillianter!

And let us not forget, their is still the battle for 2nd place. C'mon Vettel!

On a different note, McLaren has passed Ferrari for 3rd in the Constrcutors by 1 point. Looks like there IS a reason to watch the next race after all.

A champions drive by Button, he deserved it. I was really disappointed for Barrichello though - hearing he had a puncture almost ruined the race for me. Great to see Webber winning again, and a brilliant drive from Hamilton and Kubica. Nice to see more points for Buemi too. McLaren pass Ferrari for 3rd in the constructors 👍

He was no doubt helped by qualifying eleventh - if he were to appear in Abu Dhabi, I would not expect to see him nearly as high - but I do think he's on to something and he really could be Toyota's way forward. I've always said their management style of running things by committee makes them their own worst enemy, but if they can catch on to a raw, unpolished talent and bring them up in that culture, they may be on to something greater than simply throwing money at someone like Raikkonen. Kobayashi could be that person ...

Sensible? He broke way too late on one of his passing attempts and was just lucky that Kobayashi saw him dive up the inside and didn't turn in on him...especially being in the first F1 race of his life! I wouldn't call that overly sensible...more so forcing the issue. And to a lesser extent when he passed Buemi and almost tagged Buemi's wing with his rear tire as he got sideways exiting the 1st corner. But like I said before, all well that ends well.

Agreed...a bit of a boring way to end the Championship, but great sportsmanship shown all around by the teams 👍

Good to see Rubens happy for him as well, a brilliant race, a brilliant season.

Kobayashi is a lunatic, but thats not a bad thing, he's way, way more exciting than Grosjean or Alguesuari.

Trulli & Sutil - 50/50 incident, though I'm inclined to agree with Sutil that Jarno was being far too hopeful of successfully pulling that move off.
Kovalainen - another dreary, sub-par race that isn't good enough for Macca's standards.
Fisichella - guess the car is just not for him.
Alonso, Rosberg, Nakajima, Heidfeld - very unlucky.
Alguesuari, Grosjean, Liuzzi - standard slog catching positions from those who fell off. Liuzzi obviously best of the rest.
Kobayashi - impressive and mad debut that will be remembered for a long time. Easily up there with Markus Winkelhock & Co.
Barrichello - unlucky again.
Hamilton, Vettel, Button - amazing drives. Button showing how its done, almost like he decided this race he would shut the critics up for just a bit longer.
Webber, Kubica - good drives but fairly easy once Barrichello was out of the way. Kubica more so all things considered.
Buemi - another good drive from him, kept out of trouble, no mistakes. Overall good job and easily cementing "rookie of the year" status. Although Kobayashi may take the people's favourite.

Webber had a solid performance, but he was helped quite a bit by Ruben's problems and lack of pace in the second stint. And of course running Raikonen off the road definitely helped his cause. The post race interview was comical, as he said I just did what Kimi would do to me, or something along those lines

Awesome race - amazing overtaking action... great work from Button there - and Kobayashi's on Fisi was great too...

Lewis nailing Rubens and giving him a puncture was good too...

One of the best races of the year I reckon - if not THE best race!!

Lewis was driver of the day for me... although Button runs a close second.

Sutil was taken out by Trulli - not sure what Jarno was on about on that one... amusing to see Teflonso caught up in it too!

Great race allround - and sorted my massive hangover out too.
