Bit harsh, considering it's his home grand prix and all that.
Don't you think he deserves it?
If you look at the timing sheets, the Brawns don't have a huge advantage in Q1 and Q2, but dominate Q3. This suggests that they do indeed, comparatively, lack the grip and balance on a light load
If you look at the timing sheets, the Brawns don't have a huge advantage in Q1 and Q2, but dominate Q3. This suggests that they do indeed, comparatively, lack the grip and balance on a light load - but that the BGP001 is a very good car on a heavy load of fuel. With fuel for a short race-stint, the Brawns are almost unmatched: Even when they're not on pole, they're almost always fastest on fuel-corrected times.
Deserves?
Deserves?
This is F1, not a Jenson Button pittyparty.
Piquet would deserve it more than Jenson-lad because of all the stick he has had to take in the last 18 months.
Or they don't bother to remove all the fuel for Q1 & Q2...
Piquet is the least deserving in the paddock, the guy is an arrogant and plain rubbish driver who rather than do something about his position in the team, he'd rather just complain about it. At least people like Irvine held up their hands about being 2nd driver and got on with it.
I will never respect Piquet after his comments about Buemi, seriously, the guy's a joke.
I'm with you on this one. I won't be complaining if Button wins the rest of the races this season, the guy got far too much criticism in the past couple of years. And I agree with your comment about Piquet.Wow, I'd never thought I'd see "Button's had his glory" this early, so easy to forget the past 2 years, eh?
I for one won't be complaining if Button goes on to win the rest of the races this season, its a very nice way to blow all that criticsm he got over the years out of the water.

VERY Boring race , and very boring season thus far, seems as Brawn is the only team that was ready for 2009.

And the way Vettel as reeling in Button. Sure, the longer it took him, the more likely it would be that Button would prevail as he did, but I think those few laps were the closest anyone has come to catching the Brawns all season. Sure, it took something special - running almost dry - but imagine what it would be like if every team was moving right out of their comfort zones to make up the difference to Button and Barrichello.I think thats a little unfair, a couple of teams have made a notable step forward from last year, such as Force India, Red Bull, Williams and Toyota.
ugh, another button victory. He really is turning into a Michael Schumacher, but he has 7 world titles to win to be the true master.
Daddy.Quite why he is still in F1 is beyond me.
High performance cars being pushed to their limits does not equal boring. Anyone who thinks it does is not a real fan of motor racing.
