I finish work at 4.00 here, by the time I get home it'll be the climax of England v. Germany so I have to watch it even later

In other news, Sauber have been granted permission to drop the "BMW" from their name. They are now known as "Sauber F1 Team".

Hands up who thinks Jonathan Legard will continue to refer to them as "BMW Sauber"?

Yay! I hated seeing them as BMW Sauber Ferrari. It was stupid! Anyway good luck Webber!

Oh my God! Webber's race has come to a spectacular end. He looks to be fine though, but that was just crazy.

Lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky boy.

Well, if you're GOING to have an accident...

That really looked very scary indeed. Lucky he was saved but what the hell was Webber thinking??

It wasn't entirely his fault. He did try to scrape every scrap of slipstream which was unnecessary but then what on earth was Koval trying to defend for against a blatantly faster car...

That was a big incident, glad Webber is ok.

Apparently, Kovalainen was defending. You have to admire his optimism, he was trying to race against a Red Bull.

Webber was expecting him to make way. If Webber is sportsmanlike he will apologise to Heiki, the collision was his fault.

Now it's interesting, Button and the Williams moved up the field ahead of both Ferraris during the safety car scramble.

But now Kobayashi is holding up Button :nervous:

I see nothing wrong with Kovalainen want to defend position because he was racing with him on the same lead lap! On board I saw Webber turn on left a bit left before he crashed then turn to right. I know how frustrated Webber was after losing soo many positions but sorry, that was silly.

All aboard the Kamui train! I like this guy. I would like him even more if he just let Button past and held up Kubica, Alonso + co. :sly:

Both the Mercedes are having brake problems. Also, epic fail on behalf of Schumacher for the Mercedes strategists.

It was for position, why wouldn't he? Stranger things have happened. Sato, Canada 2007?

Drive through for Hamilton. That puts Button into second place after Kobayashi pits.

EDIT: Scratch that. Kobayashi was so far behind, Hamilton retained second place

Lucky Lewis. Serves a drive-through and comes out... in exactly the same position. A huge way back from Vettel... but still a good call from the team.

Hamilton on the team radio: There's a bottle on the track...

Legard, 10 seconds later: Is that a glass bottle? THAT'S A GLASS BOTTLE, IT'S ON THE TRACK!

*facepalm*

I'd love to see Vettel somehow hand the win over to Hamilton, just to fuel Alonso's anger even more. Based on how he sounded over the radio, he would probably explode.

Anyone noticed Kobayashi holds currently 3rd? Kobayashi!! :)

I know he's yet to pit but still impressive.

He can't pull a gap, he's set to go maybe 15-17th when he pits. Sauber are hoping other teams have problems, De La Rosa might just grap a point.

I think Vettel's tires are leaving him now. I doubt he will pit again, but Hamilton will be right on his tail in the last few laps.

EDIT: Taking another look, Vettel came around to some of the back-markers, that is why.
