The BBC 5-Live team did raise the issue that there had been a technical meeting of some kind to consider re-instating the 107% rule. I would not be surprised to see it evoked some time soon or, to some effect.

I think reinstating the 107% rule would be a very sensible thing to do at this stage.
 
I agree with bringing back the 107% rule, as the BBC 5live team said, its not unfair - it does give the teams a chance to make the cut in qualifying and its not like its a difficult target to achieve if the team and car is good enough for F1 standards.
It did look very dangerous with the HRT car getting in the way all the time today + the rear wheel nut falling off.

I just can't stop thinking how amazing it is that Kolles came in only weeks ago and managed to get this team here, obviously the car was effectively ready but organising a team and sponsors that quick is nothing short of amazing 👍
They reportedly have Geoff Willis involved with the team and probably a lot of Kolles' Le Mans team, so they aren't completely without experience it turns out. If people give them a chance to catch up, I think they could be a decent team in future. It just depends on them getting it together sooner rather than later.

Last practice I think is 8AM, Quali 11AM Race 12PM

Saturday practice: 7am GMT
Qualification: 10am GMT
Race: 11am GMT

You can look here:

and look to the right where it shows the start times, you can click "convert to my local time" to get the times ;)

I'll have to wake up a bit earlier, 8AM and 9AM for the qualy and race respectivelly.

Because you're in GMT+1 💡
He asked for GMT, as he's in Egypt, so he could work it out. Stating English time is confusing because of Daylight Savings.

Egypt are two hours ahead of us atm. (having got back from holiday there a fortnight ago)

sems4arsenal, Qualifying will start at 1PM, with the race at 2PM.

We're on GMT right now, Ardius.

Did anybody else have probelms with F1.com's Live Timing last night? When I tried to open it in a separate window, the Live Timing screen only took up the right-hand half of the window, and when I attempted to simply launch it within the browser, it never loaded.

Senna has said "three laps this morning and seventeen this afternoon is a great start. Of course, we could not try the car at its limits."

I think 4 days of testing of the pace.

40 mins to find out their real pace.
 
Chandok was just interviewed by the BBC, and is going to be allowed to qualify without any (let alone 3) practice laps?
 
Theoretically no, he can't be allowed to qualify.

Actually he can, cause qualifying are considered pratice also.

I think Rosberg stands a better chance for pole. His times improved a lot over the practice sessions. My bet is Alonso for pole and Sutil being the underdog.

And yet he's in the car ready to go...very strange. Apparently if he can get out of pit lane, he'll be allowed to start tomorrow I wonder why?

Also, has anyone else noticed Hamilton keeps on hiding parts of the steering wheel (top left in particular) with his glove? Yesterday in practice he would take the wheel out of the car and hold onto it when talking with the engineers anytime the camera came near.

No doubt he'll qualify higher than Michael... more in practice... but hey, it's fun to guess.

Come on Kobayashi, The Sauber looked strong in pre season testing but now it just seems a bit rubbish :(
 
Renault definitly stronger than I expected, Kubica did a fantastic job getting that Renault into Q3 👍
