2010 Korean Grand Prix

The only weather information I've got is for a dry saturday and possibly some showers on sunday.

Here is a cool video I found. I know it's Red Bull (surprise surprise coming from me), but it does explain the track well. And it shows what the track will look like when everything is built.

Because if he wins by six points or less, it means he would have won the World Championhip because Ferrari manipulated the result in Germany.

From its very beginning almost a hundred years ago, Grand Prix racing has been run by and for national industrial interests. Orders have always played a dominant role in the outcome.

If we were to take away all points historically earned as a result of team orders, and banish those who did their duty, what would we be left with? Horses and buggies racing on dirt tracks? Kids on go-karts? Mother Teresa's on Segways?

I can't wait for this Grand Prix, judging by how it's been on the game the first few corners will be pretty chaotic!

I was thinking the same thing 👍:)

I was saying last night online racing that the track should have stop signs at some corners they are such tight slow turns :)

I hope Webber qualifys well and makes it through any carnage in those first turns 👍

And I do not have to get up early to watch the race as it is on at 10:30 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time here on the Wet Coast!

I saw this a few days ago. So there are plans to build high rise buildings around the track? That explains why the first sector has a street curcuit style.

There has always been plans. They just had to build the circuit first. The problem is that there were similar plans for the likes of Valencia that are yet to be realised.

It will look really nice when they have done all the skyscrapers but we will have to wait at least 10 years! The Valencia race may not even survive long enough for its plans to be realised.

I suspect Seoul chose the Yeongam area because they want want the region to be a major urban centre. The province seems to be quite under-developed at present, and is one of the few areas in the country without extensive infrastructure. After all, Seoul is the third-largest city in the world with twenty-four million residents; by contrast Jeollanam-do has just two million people. I'm willing to bet they want the grow the region, and believe a major international sporting event is the best way to do that.

That's pretty cool, they've already won 4 of the last 5 championships between them, and another will win this year. I'm hoping that it is Hamilton, but I think one of the Red Bull drivers will clinch it in the end. I'd rather Mark wins it than Vettel though, because Vettel has plenty of time to win championships.

Oh no I know he's there, but I just don't think the Ferrari is as quick as the Red Bulls. It's too close to call if i'm honest. This race will have a big impact on the outcome of the championship, if the McLarens don't have a good race they could be out of contention for the championship (i'm talking both of them need at least a podium to stand a chance), and if Webber wins then he will have a big advantage going in to the final two races.

Wow, doesn't Alonso look happy sat next to Hamilton :D

And do you care to comment on this one??? :D

Hamilton: I am the best-looking guy on this guardrail.
Webber: I want to join the 'Mile High Club' so freaking bad.
Button: Uhm....what's Alonso doing to Bernie?
Vettel: What the hell is everyone staring at?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Alonso is smiling because Lewis found the 'present' he left in his cap :D

Lewis is simply waiting for his opportunity to reeeeach over and pick up the sunglasses he dropped earlier :)

"Err... guys, can I have my... um... guys...?"

Well the conclusion we can draw from this is that Jenson Button is a monkey :D

And why is that guy behind him staring at his lower region?

That's Alonso in the post race interview behind the two Red Bulls of course. This image tells the future!

Who is the guy on the right in the old photo?

Senna, Prost, Mansell, ??

From the practice it looks to be a really tricky track. Interested to see how practice ends up tonight. I'm not sure if the big guys are giving it their all but it seems like a wildcard and the outcome might be a little mixed up

Edit; I spoke too soon

I don't know how many hours activity Mika Hakkinen is having a day, but he still looks bloody good in that picture! 👍

*Gandalf voice: "You haven't aged a day".
