2010 Singapore Grand Prix

Lewis takes himself out trying to take Webber around a backmarker. Good job, man. :D

-

This may give Button a podium... don't know how bad the hit was for Webber.

Goddammit!!!
Hamilton out for the second race in a row.
Not sure what to make of it. Should Webber have backed down or was it a daft move by Hamilton?
Edit: Lol. Tree'd by the lightning fingers of niky

Hamilton seems to have pushed the issue a bit too soon on the restart.

WEBBER!!!!:D

Sorry Hamilton, that happens sometimes when you push too hard.

Webber doesn't have any punture, good!

Heidfeld is out and Schumi has a problem with the front wing.

Webber had the inside line. That was an avoidable accident. Black flag for Webber or at least a penalty after the race.

The Virgin car not getting out of the way caused that to happen. Hopefully Webber isn't penalized for that.

Now Hamilton is out it would be good if Webber retires as well, that way the other three can catch up some more points in the championship.

No way Mark Webber's fault,. Race incident at best but Hamilton could never expect Webber to just let him past.

Now Schumacher takes Heidfeld out, ugh.

One Hamilton fan is not pleased, me. Notice how he agressively threw the steering wheel from his car. Oh, and I want JB to win.

It was a racing incident. No penalty should be handed out there.

Hamilton was already ahead, and had the racing line. Webber was effectively lunging down the inside and took him out, and he should have yielded IMO.

I think you'll find the Virgin had moved out of the way as Hamilton came alongside Webber. And if he isn't penalised, then the FIA are mindless souls and I will never watch Formula 1 again.

'Webber had the inside line, and Hamilton blocked his braking point' - Martin Brundle. Do you agree?

The TV I'm watching on has no sound, are the stewards still investiagting the incident between Webber and Hamilton? It was really touch and go, I wouldnt have been punching the screen If Mark received a drive thru to be honest, he was quite a way behind Hamilton at the start of the braking zone... Hope he doesnt receive any post race penalty.

They are waiting to see more replays, but there's been no more word other than the incident is being investigated. As Dan360 has just said, Martin Brundle doesn't see how Mark Webber could have avoided the accident and therefore doesn't think a penalty would be appropriate.

Yes they are. No news yet though.

Yes, they are investigating DURING the race. 15 laps for the stewards to decide.

If there is any penalty, it will probably come after the race at this point.

No penalty as expected.

No further action on Webber & Hamilton.

No drive-through for Webber, the stewards have decided.

No further action. Seriously, just no.

Personally... it was 50:50... very opportunistic by Hamilton, though Webber certainly isn't blameless... Lewis pulled in very close at that apex despite not being more than half a length ahead. Stewards hand out no further penalty.

This may be Webber's championship in the bag. Shame it had to go this way...

Good decision on that. Lewis really could have given Webber more room on that corner as it is.

I have watched the replay and there would be no way if Webber could give way, unless he had cut the corner. It is just another racing incident.

I don't think so... Alonso will only be 9 points off the lead as the results stand. Ferrari must have been wishing for a penalty for Webber, since it would probably have put Alonso into the lead in the Championship.

Great news for Webber, and a big blow for Hamilton. It was neither one's fault, but Hamilton got the short end of the stick.

Taking a closer look, now I realise that it could be a bit closer. I think Hamilton was trying to get his line as quickly as possible, but Webber couldn't read his idea so clattered into him. So it was Hamilton's fault then Webber's.

Actually, that would be 11 points as its 25 for Alonso who's going from 166 > 191 and 15 for Webber who's going from 187 > 201.

11 points I believe 202-191
