McLaren have been quiet so far - sounds like Button is biding his time on his tyres, but LH is not keeping Webber in his sights at the moment.

They dont seem to have race pace, at this point. Whether they are any better with the harder tyres, we will have to see.

Oh Webber 🤬 off already. -> Emerges afhead of Alonso after the pits.

The idea is not to gift vettel the race :dunce:

DC is banging on about 'what a great race it is up front'.

The lack of options to overtake seems to have escaped him.

Such a dull race...
It's definitely one for the purists... atleast the gap between the top 3 is small, there could still be some excitement the last third of the race...

Valencia needed a good show today, as we're all still waiting on a good race here - unfortunately, at the fourth time of asking, it's not doing much to alter it's reputation as the dullard of the calendar. That said, there will always be room for a few races like this each year - uneventful, straightforward man-against-track type races, where a single error could mean the difference between a win and a podium.

Alonso has done well to stay with red bull, went they go to the harder, im expecting the red bulls to disappear.

We need Stepney on the horn!

"Alonso is faster. Do you understand."

Smedley :D

Compared to the racing we've seen so far this season I think the Valencia race is... well, meh.

The double DRS certainly hasn't added to the spectacle here, I agree with the idea that a Safety Car is needed to compress the pack and give us a final-tyre sprint to the finish...

:D

Hence why Webber didnt not move over!

When is Valencia's contract to be on the schedule finished? 2015 I think? It couldn't come any sooner.

The high speed procession that this race has been is giving me bad memories of early 2000s F1. That's not a knock against Red Bull, rather the circuit.

Every track this season has benefitted (in various measures) from the new tyre compounds, DRS and KERS (obviously not such a recent addition).

Valencia just hasn't - the only fun so far is watching Petrov grinding his teeth to splinters behind Kobayashi :)
