I've just notice that P2/P3 are wrong... that table isn't doing the countback correctly (Button = 1 Win, Webber = 0 Win). Coders notified...!

EDIT: Which has also broke the first post. If you're going to supply images, at least make sure they won't disappear...

What a [Insert Richard's Hammond description of a Moris Marina ]Race who was the brains behind signing a 7 year deal on that Track . 👎

McLaren not good with their tyres compared to previous races, track and temp just not suiting it I guess. I wonder if the blown diffuser has harmed them the most as they have the least downforce year after year recently and maybe the tipping point where they just have too much sliding going on. I don't think Hamilton could've done any better if he paced it more. They should've put the harder tyre at the first pit-stop and perhaps the softs might've lasted better with the track more rubbered in.

Webber still not making the tyres last though. We've had some great races but I like to see drivers going flat out lap after lap.

I hope they drop this track soon.

My god that race sucked so bad. Get the track off the calendar.

Guys, is it true that Pirelli delibrately made their tyres to not be as durable or strong as the old Bridgestone?

Canada thread got 1,216 replies. This has 4 times less at the moment and probably won't get up to three times that. Fail race... :grumpy:

Thanks for the confirmation mate. It's just this guy in FB who doesn't want to accept this fact.

I think this year we saw a massively improved Valencia...

I thought it was a little more interesting than previous races at Valencia. There were some good battles in the mid-field. And the top 3 were running close for most of the race. But compared to the rest of the season it was the least interesting race of the year. Though, it's Valencia and I did not expect another Canada type race. So I wont go on a rant about how bad the Valencia circuit is (even though it is bad).

Wasn't the 24H Nurburgring Nordschleife during the F1, so some viewers would have been watching that rather than watch Vettle win again.

Of course. But Le Mans was the same day as Canada and even though it wasn't the same time it's still more popular than the Nurb 24H.

Strange. They're showing for me... I just checked with some others and they're showing there too.

The DNS update was on Friday, perhaps your ISP's working from old records?

To be fair, there were a lot of posts during the 2 hour stoppage, plus a lot of people were moaning about the safety car or debating who was responsible for each and every incident. There just wasn't that much to talk about this race.

That included forty pages of useless drivel. Did we really need six people in a row posting nothing more than "red flag"?

Valencia showing yet again its a waste of calendar space, what a yawn fest. :yuck:

Goes to show that money speaks more than quality because there are many other excellent exciting circuits which don't have the cash to either bring them up to a certifiable standard or pay the FIA to bring the race there.

Also this is only the 3rd (or was it 4th) time in F1 history that all cars have finished... Also goes to prove it was one of the most boring races in modern history and I have yet to see an interesting Valencia race.

Just looks like a concrete carpark with no atmosphere, keep Barcelona and ditch this junk... not that that's going to happen sadly.

They're not showing for me (OpenDNS), as I stated earlier, nor the person who reported you for making blank posts...

They'll be showing for you because they're cached. Ctrl + F5 and see what occurs.

I overslept and lost the race, fortunately, looks like I didn't miss anything spectacular.

Nah, Montjuïc is what its all about, bring that back! :p

Valencia Street is great to drive in racing games but its clearly proven to be the worst circuit ever constructed for F1 in reality.

Boring race, predictable results (except for Ferrari perhaps and Alguesuari). Not much to say really.
The highlight of today was the BBC's post-race red button forum which was much better than previous races. 👍

Also we had loads of overtakes today..but nearly all of them (except for some nice ones in Turn 1) were dull. Why? Because DRS makes it easy. I wasn't really getting excited for the midfield battles like usual because it was effectively just a waiting game before the guy behind got into the 1-second window and managed to get a good exit. As soon as that happened, it nearly always gave a free overtake...sometimes even two! Double-DRS is completely unecessary, yes, it added overtaking to a circuit with none...but was it exciting/better? No. I'd rather have a boring race where drivers can defend and battle like normal and no overtakes than this rubbish. Both races are boring, but at least when overtaking does happen, its something exciting to watch..this current situation is boring for results AND boring for on-track action.

Apparently a 15 year old girl approached Mark Webber for an autograph. Whilst signing she asked him where Vettel was, to which Mark replied "He's the same age as you, he's playing in a sand pit over there"

Oh joy, re run of the race is on FOX (i.e Speed). I can't be bothered with this. Time to watch something more interesting, like the 2009 European Grand Prix (Luca Badoer does that). Still, Sutil got points and I got a good sleep when I could have watched the race live.

Yeah I can understand his comment, it's hard getting arse kicked every weekend by your childish teammate. It can be so frustrating but hey its just a child, so don't worry Mark!

here are my personal highlights of the race:

*Empty space*

I know right? I can't wait to watch the highlights on BBC3 later on

To be honest, I could have just turned over to a different channel during the early stages of the race, yet nothing would have changed if I returned to BBC1 just as it was ending, almost nothing happened during the entire length of the race. This was yet another Vettel procession which almost resulted in me falling asleep.

That was so boring! But at least everybody finished, shows how reliable the cars are this year.

Worst race of the season so far. And that's mostly because of FOX taking a commercial EVERY 2 LAPS!!!!!

Best Valencia race so far though. And an interesting stastic, actually a number ofi nteresting statistics. Vettel became the 16th person to lead 1000 laps in F1 history, he's also now passed Hamilton on wins, and this is the first race since the 2005 Italian GP to have all cars finish the race, so Karthikeyan is now the first ever person to finish 24th in an F1 race.
