I have a feeling this will be good 'un. Especially if the weather decides to add a bit of spice to the race. Roll on Sunday :D

Roll on tomorrow! Rain forcasted which means that it will rain, then stop, then start again.

He is a bit rusty. Still, I'd be surprised if he finishes anywhere near or in the top ten. If anything, I'd expect a DNF.

He aquaplaned off the track, and he wasn't the only person to do so either. Once you aquaplane, you're really just a passenger at that point. Impossible to judge because of the weather conditions, and of course a lot of other things you must take into account in practice, but he seems to be on the pace, doing good for a mid season jump-in.

Yeah let's just wait till tomorrow, as long as both drivers are on even terms and both get dry laps

Petrov may be in trouble this weekend, he was complaining his car was pulling to the left.:nervous: Hopefully Senna's isn't so they can sort of 'copy' the setup and parts etc.

I hope Schumacher does well in his living room. It would be good to see Mercedes try and mix it up there against the other top teams. I wonder how long before they travel to Monza as it would be amazing to meet either Schumacher or Rosberg for real if they pop by at Mercedes-Benz World on the 5th September 👍. Will be an interesting qualifying session tomorrow for sure.

You guys will love this, a brilliant lap by Lewis from 3 years ago.

Weather for P3 today is a bit wet, worse could still to come a little bit later...

Anyway, happy birthday Marky!

The rain is chucking down now. Worst time for it to chuck down, now it's time to setup the cars, and no one can, because it's wet!

It's decision time.

It's quite really pouring down now. They should red flag this session before someone crashes.

No one on the track now... Ricciardo has yet to go out. I agree they should red flag this. Martin Whitmarsh says that if the weather stays like this, no one would go out.

EDIT: Naah, he's out on track now :p

Great Q2 by Senna,....WTF Mclaren why was Button in the Pits with time still on the clock??

Indy

The team let button down there. Silly to tell him to pit.

Maldonado needs a big penalty. There is no place for that in racing.

Similar to the GT1 race at silverstone, Stefan Mucke getting retaliation against Richard Westbrooke in the Nissan, but with a slightly different outcome

I hate when this happens. A Mainstream driver gets into an incident with a not so mainstream driver, and the latter is blamed for it. They were both at fault to some extent, but Lewis made the first move. No penalty for Maldonado, or at least it shouldn't be so.

Senna did good. Maldonado had a point to be furious with Hamilton but on-track revenge there was absolutely absurd!

I hope Hamilton will be DQd

About what, sorry?!

Alguersuari did good with 6th. Ran as high as 4th late on before Massa and Rosberg improved :D Senna 7th too! Well done to him. Alonso is disappoint, Vettel is pole, duh, Hamilton was good, Webber could have been better.

Good session apart from the obvious.

edit: just saw the Hams-Maldo incident again, in my opinion Hamilton is to blame as he moved into Maldonado who was minding his own business driving down the straight.

For what?

MADonado went wide, giving Hamilton the chance to overtake. MADonado then came down on Hamilton.

Retaliation, dangerous driving, trying to take out another driving, being stupid.

Wait a minute...you mean Maldonado, right?

Hamilton did hit him before the end of the lap but he was ahead so he was entitled to do it.

It wasn't as if Maldonado's Q2 lap was ruined, Williams lacked the pace anyway. The look on Frank Williams's face was priceless.

Also Button looked like he'd been crying in that interview, great job by the 'world class' McLaren strategists.
