I can't see Mikel and Mata making this up though, they seem to both be enjoying their football under RDM and being a Chelsea fan they would be near the bottom of the list for causing problems at the club.

At the moment I am backing them, they don't seem to get involved with other problems Chelsea have had, not like some of the other players.

We shall see though, outside sources put in a complaint as well which makes me believe the allegations may be true.

Yep. Mikel and Mata are probably the more subdued players on the team. I think Mikel is not the greatest player but, he seems like a genuinely nice guy and wouldn't make something like this up. Same with Mata. Mata always has a smile on his face. If they are lying about the allegations, I would be shocked.

I used to hate Mikel and think he wasn't good enough for the Chelsea team, he is a very under rated player in my opinion though. Since being given the chance under RDM I think he has been one of Chelsea's best performers, we need him in good form though to clear up all Luiz's mistakes. Luiz is going to cost us this season.
 
Two big games this weekend, the north London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham and a big game at the bottom between QPR and Southampton..too early to call it a relegation 6 pointer??
 
Interesting results today with Arsenal winning 5-2 in the big game and Chelsea getting beat by WBA 2-1!

Worst performance of the season!!! just sloppy all over the pitch, fair play to Norwich..they deserved it!..
 
Today was a strange game. Man U was very off-colour.
 
I cant really explain why we were so poor last night! we were just poor! and lacklustre!..even though we have gone behind and comeback to win a lot this season when Norwich scored i thought there was no way we would win the game the way we were playing..

..very good day for City yesterday, thumping win over Villa and United and Chelsea both losing..

I am absolutely flabbergasted! I seriously mean that. A month ago he was toast of the town, with Chelsea playing attractive football, on top of the table and doing ok in the CL.

Now after 4 poor results he is sacked. My word.

I'm not surprised, this is what Chelsea do. I thought he may have lasted a little longer but I did say he'd be gone within a year and I was right.:sly:

You say that like Chelsea is a thief or something. This is not what Chelsea do. This is what it's current owner Abramovic does. Not Chelsea.

I'm a bit stunned and sad about the decision to be honest. RDM gets Abramovic the trophy he had been searching for, loses a few games in a row the following season and gets sacked. Abramovic will one day learn that if you stick with a good manager like RDM for longer than a year, he will do a better job.

Eh. Seems like I should have expected this to come about after a slight dip in performance.

If I were the replacement manager, I wouldn't get too settled in the role.

I can't believe they sacked him. What was wrong with him? He won the champions league and they topped the prem for about 4 months. Yet a few bad results and the sack?
 
They should honestly grab Jose Mourinho from Real Madrid. Out of his 180 games as Chelsea manager, he won 83% of the time.

I'm sure they would if they could although at this point Abramovich is so deluded I'm not sure what he's playing at. I've heard Guardiola's name tossed around a lot, has he already effectively got the job ?
 
Guardiola has said he wont cut his year off short..but never say never..also it wont be Redknapp either as it looks like he'll be the new Ukraine coach..

Benetiez has just been appointed interim manager until the end of the season. I don't even need to throw some derogatory adjectives around, the situation speaks for itself.
 
As others had said, not fair on RDM after so little time. Even Villas-Boas got more time and he won nothing! Maybe Abramovitch just wants a manager who can get the best out of Torres, and has so turned to Benitez. The Benitez who has so criticised Chelsea in the past. Fans are not going to be happy ...
 
Actually, RDM had more time at Chelsea than Scolari, Grant, Hiddink and Villas-Boas.

It's the off-season that makes us think he wasn't there for as long. As unfair as it is, I said when he was appointed that he'd be gone by Christmas. He was never in Roman's plans for the long-term. Which does make you wonder why he let him splash several millions on players like Hazard and Oscar, only to sack him a short while after.
 
The question is, is Rafa an interim manager, or an interim interim manager, given that Di Matteo was an interim manager...? I think it's a terrible decision... how come managers can be sacked so easily and yet players can't...? Torres should be sacked, not Di Matteo...
 
It was definitely a knee-jerk reaction to, not only the defeat last night, but also the defeat by WBA on saturday, things havnt really been going well for Chelsea at all lately..ive said before that im not that surprised that this has happened because it seems to be the normal thing there! i think the sensible thing to do was to give him till xmas to try and turn things around...
