How could Ferrari create such a turdbox? They should have just worked off of last year's car, since it wasn't that bad. I have a feeling they're lacking a bit of skill in their engineering department. I'll eat my words if they get a couple of wins. But it doesn't look like Ferrari will get close to either championship.

I'm disappointed for Alonso and Raikkonen. A terrible start for both of them. At least Vettel can't finger us to death.

Legard's problem is that he wasn't a Formula One bloke. He was just a sports commentator, a general reporter with no specific discipline. He was rubbish, but I blame the BBC for putting the wrong man in an important job. This was when David Croft was still doing 5 Live so it's not like they didn't have alternatives.

Don't like James Allen's voice, don't like his obession with Lewis Sennaton and I don't like his commentary style.

"And it's...........gooooOOOOooOOOooooOOOOOo!"

You're just not Murray Walker, James.

I haven't heard any of his BBC F1 stuff but Ben Edwards doing the BTCC was thus;

"ohandjasonplatoisreallychargingnowandhesuptheinsidenowandhehitsthefordhehitsthefordandchiltonisoffthetrack"

He was better when he used to do F1 for Eurosport. Not good, but better. But then again, you'd have to be on the ball if John Watson was your co-commentator.

What time is the race GMT? 5am? That would make it 6am CET for me. Not that early.

Murray Walker and James hunt was pure comical entertainment. :)

Race starts at 6am GMT, coverage at 4:30GMT.

So for you it should be 5:30 coverage and a 7:00 start 👍

Murray will always be the best in my books. Even in snooker follow the link in my sig if you have not seen it.

I think it's a case of the car being so damn hard to drive, that neither driver can get the full potential out of it.

Their main problems lie with tyre wear and instability, which speaks a lot to the new pullrod suspension they have. There must have been a reason why no one has run a pullrod front suspension in 10 years.

Its the classic Ferrari if it works it works very well if it does not it makes the car so bad it's a midfield car.

Ferrari always have lousy starts to the season, they'll bounce back soon enough.

They're doing worse than in 2011 and in 2011 they didn't bounce back well enough. It doesn't matter if they do because it will be too late.

If Alonso can't get the full potential, then it was never there.

I wouldn't be surprised if mercedes done better than Ferrari this season, I would really like to see Schumacher on the podium at least once this season and a possible first win for Rosberg.

So who's staying up tonight?

Debating whether to take a quick nap, but knowing my luck that'll go horribly wrong..

I think it's more a case of Alonso already having gotten the full potential out of the car. He doesn't do things by half-measures. He's gotten the ull potential out of it, and it's nowhere near enough.

Same as, considering it still..

I'm going to sleep. Definitely race start at 6am GMT right ?

And I can confirm so.

Starts at 6am GMT, coverage on SSF1HD starts at 4:30am GMT.

Button
Hamilton
Rosberg
Schumacher

My prediction.

If I was a betting man, that's what I'd go for. But quietly I'll be cheering for Grosjean to pull off an upset, and at least one of local favourites Webber and Ricciardo to make top 5

Same here. I was screaming like a little girl when I realized that Mercedes could be the Nr.2 force this year overall. There's no way they can be first, but going from 4th two years in a row, to 2nd, is really nice. So happy for both Schumi and Rosberg, God I hope he finally wins a GP.

Also same here.

Only 4.5 hours until the race by the way.

Are the Aussies watching hating the ten coverage? I am sure that they could find people to interview or teams etc instead of talking crap and replaying silly swimming.

What the 🤬 is these young talent time wankers doing on air?

Race starts at midnight for me. I'm brewing coffee as we speak.

This cross-promotion is terrible. The organisers never should have allowed Ten/One to have a set in the paddock.

Take note all you people complaining about Sky. Ten treat us like idots
