Maldonado could get a penalty.
He should use that run-off but Hammy also at fault here. IMO.

A well deserved win for Alonso - amazing drive - albeit a tad lucky that Vettel dropped out.

Maldonado should probably get a penalty for taking out Lewis, but Lewis's tyres were gone, and he tried too hard to hold on to 3rd. He should be looking at 12 points this afternoon, but instead he gets none. A bitterly disappointing result for Lewis.

The big winner today is the Valencia circuit, though :)

Hamilton shouldn't have been fighting that hard on sketchy tyres, if he'd used his head he would have settled for the points of 4th.

Silly, sully driving.

You can't legislate for getting t'boned from a car, coming back on to the track.

Hope they give Pastor a nice big penalty for the next round. That guy needs to learn how to pass.

Hamilton also needs to learn to give up when on bad tires.

We all foresaw this because Pastor was attacking hard and Hamilton was defending hard.

Well, an interesting race from Valencia!!! Hooray!!!

Goes to show the strides that F1 has been making I guess. There haven't been many dull races since '10, honestly.

It wasn't how he was off the track, it was how he came back after he was off the track.

My point was he had to give up. Even if he didnt crash if he made the pass he would have to give it back.

Well I'd say Maldonado has fewer fans after that one. What an impetuous, bull-headed, idiotic move.

Completely Hamilton's fault. What kind of an idiot tries to fight like that when he's destined to get passed on ruined tires?

I feel bad for Maldonado for getting robbed of a podium, but Schumi certainly deserved that one.

Initially I thought Pastor was just holding his outside line, then on the onboard replay it show he jumps back into the track and into Lewis.

Lewis in the other hand, should've let him go... Why push like this with absolutelly no tires?

Great race from Alonso, and Webber (15 place climb...)

Gutted for Grosjean... I was convinced he had the pace and the tires to chanllenge Alonso in the end :(

Hamilton also needs to learn to give up when on bad tires.
True, but Lewis was within the rules/track limits, Maldonado was not... there's a big difference, but I agree that Lewis ought to have not fought so hard for what was essentially a lost cause.

Im pretty sure Hamilton when defending 'too hard' didnt consider Maldonado ramming him into the wall.

He's not going to give up a podium spot that close to the end of the race regardless of deg.

This is my face exactly when i saw marshalls move Vettel's car in traffic.

Vettel throwing his glove is just like Hamilton saying I'm Black.
Both are the actions of babies.

i'm sure you have clear grasp on what it feels like to drop a race and championship lead through no fault of your own. :indiff:

Would you guys agree that we're at a point where it's time to realize that overtaking is possible everywhere but in Monaco and that teams should come to a conclusion that more pitstops is better?

Ferrari radio if i didn't mishear :D
Hamilton and il Finn; Il Finn hehe

Seriously how are people blaming Lewis? If he should of given up every time people try and pass him he may as well drive a HRT and let everyone pass.

It's the end of the race. Why wouldn't you fight in some way?
